STATUE OF LIBERTY

The Statue of Liberty (SL) has seven pointed rays of light emanating from her head. As mentioned in previous Parts of this series, seven pointed rays of light are important in various ancient traditions, such as the Assyrian/Babylonian Semiramis, Roman Mithraic Mysteries, and Gnostic. In The Natural Genesis (circa 1881), Gerald Massey hypothesized that they "Seven-rayed Sun-god of the Gnostic stones" was also the "Serpent Chnubis" and "the second beast in the Book of Revelation." In addition, there is the Chaldean mystery of "the god of the Seven Rays," the seven rays of light (or knowledge) emanating from the body of the Agni (a Hindu or Vedic deity), and the seven-rayed star on breasts of the Knights of the Apocalypse (late 16th century Italian secret society). See "Seven Rays" in Wikipedia.

Madame Blavatsky, also mentioned in previous Parts of this series, wrote in The Secret Doctrine (1888) that "the seven rays of the Chaldean Heptakis or Iao, on the Gnostic stones," represent the seven large stars of the Egyptian "Great Bear" Constellation and the Hindu "7 Rishis." She further noted that the 7 rays of the Vedic sun god Vishnu represent the same concept as the "Light of the Kabalists."

Relevant to the New Age today, there is the 7th ray element in the Reiki healing method: Todd Rundgren of the rock band Utopia wrote a song "The Seven Rays"; rock band Hawkwind's "Seven By Seven" is about the seven rays; and Mike Pinder of Moody Blues sings about "the seven rays" and "the Light of Seven" in his album The Promise. Books on the subject include The Seven Rays (1927) by Ernest Wood, The Seven Rays: Key to Mysteries (1977) by Douglas Baker, and The Seven Rays (2009) by Jessica Bendiger. There is even The Seven Ray Institute as well as a School for the Study of the Seven Rays that has published a series of monographs on the subject by Kurt Abraham. And in New Ager Corinne McLaughlin's "Meditation for America," she asks readers to "imagine that you are standing at the foot of the Statue of Liberty... [which is] a symbol of the soul of America," whose crown from which the seven pointed "rays of light" emanate is "symbolic of the crown chakra" [in yoga, chakras are points of physical or spiritual energy in people's bodies].

The SL was given to the Masons of America by the Grand Orient Freemasons of France, who were instrumental in bringing about the French Revolution of 1789. And an important figure there at that time was Louis Claude de Saint-Martin who was a Rosicrucian.

H. Spencer Lewis (First Imperator of the Rosicrucian Order for North and South America) in Rosicrucian Questions and Answers With Complete History of the Rosicrucian Order (1929) noted that Benjamin Franklin "was associated with the Rosicrucians of Pennsylvania during the Order's first active cycle in America." Under the "History of the Order," Lewis also listed Johannes Kelpius ("Grand Master of the R.C. Order in its first cycle in America in 1694") and Count Alessandro Cagliostro ("Became a Master and established many R.C. Lodges in Europe"), who worked with Illuminist Citizen Genet (mentioned in Part 2 of this series) and in Memoirs of Cagliostro said St. Germain initiated him into Freemasonry and founded Freemasonry in Germany. Lewis further listed Thomas Jefferson, Giuseppe Mazzini (Italian revolutionary referred to as a "point of light when rays traversed the world"), and Nicholas Roerich (Great White Brotherhood), among others.

In terms of the "New World Order" (mentioned in previous parts of this series) to be established, the Rosicrucian role has been underplayed, but is nevertheless important, as revealed in The Rosicrucian Digest (June 1941). Therein is an article, "The Thought of the Month: Make Your Own Prophesies," which includes: "We predict a mystical-pantheism as the religion of tomorrow…. There will be no churches, but a church…. The Wo World State will provide and maintain community hospitals, sanitariums, and clinics…. Physicians will be paid by the State and their entire professional services will be absorbed by the state…. Every citizen will enjoy these health benefits and guarantees…. Quotas will be placed upon all professions, in each of these zones of the World-State." Do you recognize any of this coming today?

The reference to the "religion of tomorrow" sounds like Luciferian Alice Bailey's claim that a "new world religion [is]… on its way." She wrote this in The Rays and the Initiations (Volume 5 of her A Treatise on the Seven Rays). A "new world religion," however, will only be accepted after Judeo-Christian Biblical values have been undermined. Relevant to this, at the time the SL was given by the Grand Orient Freemasons of France to the Masons of the U.S., Albert Pike was Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite Freemasons (Southern Jurisdiction), and as mentioned previously in this series, Pike praised Lucifer.

Lucifer is also known to many as Satan. And since music has been important in undermining Judeo-Christian Biblical values, it is noteworthy that Freemason Irving Berlin in 1936 composed the music and lyrics for the motion picture Follow the Fleet. One of the songs in the movie was "Let Yourself Go," and another song included the following lyrics: "Get thee behind me, Satan… But the moon is low and I can't say 'no.' … Get thee behind me, Satan, but the moon is low and I may let go. Get thee behind me. Someone I'm mad about is waiting in the night for me, someone that I mustn't see. Satan, get thee behind me. He promised to wait, but I won't appear, and he may come here. Satan, he's at my gate. Get thee behind me. Stay where you are. It's too late." The message is clear—resistance to temptation is futile!

The U.S. Supreme Court is also an important focal point of the attack upon Judeo-Christian Biblical values by the values of the French Revolution, symbolized by the SL. Prayer and Bible reading were an integral part of public school life until the Supreme Court's Engel decision in 1962 and Schempp ruling in 1963. During that time, six of nine justices were Freemasons, including former Klansman Hugo Black who was appointed in 1937 by Freemason Franklin Roosevelt.

In 1920, the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite held a special session recommending the exclusion of "sectarian propaganda" from public schools. After prayer and Bible reading were banned from public schools, values were still taught, so a moral authority different from God had to be designated. The new ultimate moral arbiter became the autonomous moral decision making student, with the schools using values clarification to teach situation ethics.

In Five Lectures…on Moral Education (1970), leading educator Ted Sizer proclaimed: "Moral autonomy—this is the 'new morality' toward which we are to guide ourselves and other people…. Strict adherence to a 'code' is out of date." And co-founder of the 4-million member International Humanist and Ethical Union, H.J. Blackham, in The Humanist (September/October 1981) revealed that if schools teach (moral) dependence on one's self, "they are more revolutionary than any conspiracy to overthrow the government."

While the Masonic-dominated Supreme Court was undermining Biblical authority, it has had no problem with pagan gods and goddesses like the Statue of Liberty/Semiramis on public property, even those publicly funded! While the Supreme Court has vigilantly pursued the removal of the Ten Commandments from many public places, it has not ordered removal of the Egyptian/Greek goddess Minerva from the Library of Congress Annex, the statue of Vulcan in Birmingham, Alabama, and the pagan deity Ceres on many state seals across the U.S. And regarding publicly funded pagan deities, the Supreme Court has not ruled unconstitutional a statue of Demeter at a cost to taxpayers of $75,000 in Annapolis, Maryland, or a statue of Quetzalcoatl for $500,000 in San Jose, California. What this shows is the triumph of the values of the French Revolution (represented by the SL) over the values of the American Revolution.
