The Muslim Brotherhood in the US, the Muslim American Society, has purchased a convent in what is being called a 'mystery sale'." A deal had been made for the Church land to be sold to a developer, but then in mysterious and shady deal, the land was sold to the MAS (Muslim Brotherhood)/ What man of the cloth with even so much as a cursory knowledge of how Christians have fared in Islamic countries would do such a thing -- and with the oppressive, violent Brotherhood, no less? The express and stated goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is a universal caliphate, by any means necessary.
The impending sale of an empty, 2 ½ -story convent in Midland Beach owned by St. Margaret Mary’s R.C. Church has neighbors angry and afraid because the purchaser is an Islamic organization they know little about.
Neighbors should be worried. Very worried. The Muslim American Society was named a front for the Muslim Brotherhood in the Holy Land terror funding trial (along with CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, etc.) It was started by the Muslim Brotherhood.

While MAS leaders admit that their organization was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood, they claim that the two are now completely distinct. MAS agreed to pay $750,000 for the property, and its plan for the convent’s re-use includes a mosque and community center with after-school programs for children.
Residents believed until recently that the property was being sold to local builders Robert Buccellato and Robert Cucuzza, partners in the Olympia Development Corp. that has constructed more than a dozen homes in Midland Beach in the last two years.
"We were proceeding forward with the church to purchase the convent and build four homes on the site," Buccellato told the Advance yesterday. "There were also some negotiations between us and the Archdiocese, but only after six months because the Archdiocese did not return our calls until then. Then they kept notifying us that they had buyers willing to pay more money."
"Finally they stopped the negotiations, and told us that they had deals with various religious organizations," he said.
Who paid off the church not to sell to land developers? Someone get this info to the people of Staten Island who are involved in this process. The deal must be stopped.
"I live in Midland Beach, and my partner was born and raised here. I love this community and am looking to help it. So I thought of an alternative scenario that will benefit everyone, especially the parish. Rather than us buying the land and building the homes, we will build for the church. That way, St. Margaret Mary’s will make money from the sale of the homes. It’s a win-win for everybody," he said.
Buccellato attempted to discuss the plan with Father Fennessy yesterday but did not receive a return call, he said. He told the Advance that he also separately described the new idea yesterday to civic association president Ms. Ammirato.

When the Chicago Tribune began to lift the curtain on this deception with its investigative report, MAS's leadership quibbled with the portrait that the newspaper painted. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- Amid a controversy over the sale of a portion of St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church’s property, the pastor of the Midland Beach parish has stepped down to care for his ailing elderly mother.
In last weekend’s parish bulletin, the Rev. Keith Fennessy said his 98-year-old mother’s health has been declining for some time and that he wants to spend more time with her.
“For the good of the parish, I have asked that a new pastor be appointed as of July 1st,” the notice reads.
The news came after parishioners called Father Fennessy insensitive — and worse — for not informing them of the impending sale before he agreed to it.
The deal, to sell the two-and-a-half-story empty convent on Greeley Avenue at Freeborn Street to the Muslim American Society, raised the ire of neighbors, who said they didn’t know enough about the Islamic organization or its intents. Some insisted that MAS, a national nonprofit with 53 chapters, has an affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood, a foreign group that has been accused of abetting terrorism.
MAS plans to use the space to build a mosque and community center with after-school programs. Representatives of the organization are on record as saying they have no ties to foreign groups or to terrorists.
Officials of the Archdiocese of New York could not immediately say how many years Father Fennessy had served at St. Margaret Mary, but said terms are typically served in blocks of six years. They said it was Father Fennessy’s decision to step down. The Archdiocese also said they did not know where Father Fennessy is living now.
This is the usual time for churches to undergo transition, and there are often about 20 or 30 parishes that receive new pastors, officials said. Recommendations for new pastors are made by the priest personnel board as well as the director of priest personnel, with the final say resting with the archbishop.
Officials said it will be several weeks before the new pastor at St. Margaret Mary’s is named.

Feisal Abdul Rauf is the founder and chairman of the Cordoba Initiative, the group trying to build a $100 million, 13 story mosque near Ground Zero. One of the Cordoba Initiative's key programs is called Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow (MLT), "cultivating the next generation of Muslim leaders....the spokespersons and activists for peace and tolerance around the globe today."
To become a MLT, one must be nominated and approved according to the group's selection criteria.
Yasir Qadhi is one such MLT. He is featured in this MLT promotional video (at 4:26) and in this MLT newsletter.
He's also on record for a series of blatantly antisemitic remarks.
Further, Mr. Qadhi put forth a spirited and absolute defense of imams caught (undercover) preaching vitriol against gays ("If I were to call homosexuals perverted, dirty, filthy dogs that should be murdered, that’s my freedom of speech isn’t it?"); women ("Allah has created the woman, even if she gets a Phd, deficient. Her intellect is incomplete, deficient."); and non-Muslims ("We love the people of Islam and we hate the people of kufr [non-belief]").
Are these the messages that will be taught at the Ground Zero mosque? After all, Abdul Rauf's group hand-selected Yasir Qadhi as a "Muslim Leader of Tomorrow" and featured him in their promotional video.
Yasir Qadhi's anitsemitic rants can be heard here. Qadhi explains that the Jews "tried to kill" Jesus (2:47). He then tells a libelous tale claiming that "80 to 90 percent" of Jews — those with "crooked nose, blond hairs" (6:55) — aren't descendants of the original Jews of Israel but instead are descendants of a Turkish tribe that converted to Judaism much later. Qadhi proceeds to explain (as quoted above at 7:55) that Hitler never intended to destroy the Jews and recommends a "very good book" documenting the Holocaust as a hoax. The Jews "want to destroy us [the Muslims]." (11:43) Almost a decade later, prompted by his own increase in popularity, Qadhi wrote that he had made some "serious historical blunders." In January, 2007, Channel 4 in the UK aired a documentary called Undercover Mosque, highlighting months of undercover recordings taken at British mosques (the transcript is here). The program was nothing short of a bombshell, showing a barrage of unvarnished statements from popular imams across a range of topics:

Rally to Protest the Ground Zero Mosque Pamela Geller, Human Events
Since I wrote in HUMAN EVENTS on May 14 about the plans to build a giant 15-story mosque and Islamic Center next to Ground Zero, the deceptions and Islamic supremacist intentions of the mosque organizers have become more obvious. Yet Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York and the New York political establishment refuse to listen to the will of the people.
This why the Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) June 6 rally against the proposed mega-mosque is so important. The Islamic supremacists must not be allowed to do a victory dance on the hallowed burial ground of Ground Zero. They must be exposed and shamed until they withdraw their plans for the mosque.
Bloomberg framed it as a freedom of religion issue: “I think it’s fair to say if somebody was going to try, on that piece of property, to build a church or a synagogue, nobody would be yelling and screaming. And the fact of the matter is that Muslims have a right to do it, too…. What is great about America and particularly New York is we welcome everybody, and if we are so afraid of something like this, what does that say about us?… If you are religious, you do not want the government picking religions, because what do you do the day they don’t pick yours?”
While I agree that that the government should keep its nose out of religion, also believe that if the mayor really believes government should stay out of it, he shouldn’t publicly take one side. But the mayor already has chosen sides, before plans for this mosque became public.
SIOA has called on Bloomberg many times to remove Omar Mohammedi, a lawyer tied to the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), from New York City’s Human Rights Commission. Bloomberg keeps him on. And before Times Square jihad bomber Faisal Shahzad was caught, Bloomberg offered his opinion: that the would-be car bomber was probably a right-winger who was upset about Obamacare.
This is why I believe petitions to the mayor are a waste of time. But the June 6 rally will show him that he is on the wrong side of the will of the people because the people of New York know that the mayor is wrong.
This mosque is not about freedom of religion. It’s about insulting America and the victims of 9/11 and establishing an international symbol for Islamic supremacism in New York. The mega-mosque will be the rallying cry for the universal caliphate—a shrine to jihad at the cherished site of Islamic conquest.
And Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies free speech and the legal equality of all people.
Rauf has also lied about his intentions. First he said that the planned Islamic Center at Ground Zero would contain a mosque; then he claimed it wouldn’t; then he said it would contain a “prayer space.” His wife Daisy Khan admitted that the “prayer space” would be a mosque.
Why the lies? And there’s more. Although he claims that the Ground Zero mosque will become a place for dialogue with Jews and Christians, Rauf has told the Arabic press: “I don’t believe in religious dialogue.” He has told the American media that money for the mosque will come entirely from Muslims here. Then he told the Arab media that funding for the mosque was coming from many Muslim countries. Daisy Khan has insulted the victims of the 9/11 jihad attacks and their families by saying that the mosque is intended to “make something positive out of 9/11.”SIOA is rallying this Sunday, June 6 (and again on September 10), to call on the mosque organizers to withdraw their plans of the Ground Zero mosque in the interests of mutual understanding and mutual respect.

NYPD and Mosque Protesters Prepare for Sunday Demonstration
LOWER MANHATTAN — Less than 72 hours before a large protest against the ground zero mosque, both the demonstrators and the police are making final plans.
The D-Day protest, which will likely draw hundreds of people, starts at noon on Sunday at the corner of Church and Liberty Streets, across from the World Trade Center site.
The NYPD’s 1st Precinct has called in extra officers from the Borough Manhattan South Patrol, and the NYPD is finalizing crowd control plans, a police official told DNAinfo.
“We’re absolutely aware of it,” the official said. “We’re working with the organization to make sure it goes smoothly.”
Stop Islamization of America, the group organizing the protest, objects to the planned 13-story mosque and community center, calledCordoba House, that is slated to rise on the site of the former Burlington Coat Factory building on Park Place.

“Ground zero is a war memorial, a burial ground,” Pamela Geller, executive director of SIOA, said in an e-mail to DNAinfo this week. “A mosque is incredibly insensitive.
SIOA originally planned to demonstrate in Zuccotti Park this Sunday. But Brookfield Properties, the owner of the plaza, revoked the permit when the nature of the event became clear.
Now, SIOA plans to protest at one corner of the plaza, on the public sidewalk. As long as they do not block the sidewalk or the street, or spill into the plaza, they do not need a permit.
The group does need a city permit for their sound amplification system, which should be approved by the end of the week, the NYPD official said.
More than 600 people have said on Facebook that they will attend the protest. Many of them are using SIOA’s website to arrange carpools from all over the northeast and beyond.
The protestors plan to carry American flags and sing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “God Bless America.

Remember: Muhammad, the Islamic prophet, said that the end times would only come when Muslims started mass-murdering Jews: “The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.”
The only suffering in Gaza is not being caused by Israel. It is coming at the hands of the barbarians, Hamas. The first paragraph of the Hamas Charter, by the way, calls for the destruction of the Jewish state. Mere details, I know.
So if the Flotilla incident and the outrage that has followed it is not about humanitarian aid, much less about “occupied” land, then what is it about? This is about jihad. This is about Islamic supremacism and annihilating the Jews. 56 ginormous Muslim countries, one tiny Jewish state, and they are in a constant bloodthirsty frenzy over it.
The level of anti-Semitism in my email box and in the comments at my website AtlasShrugs.com since the killing flotilla story broke is full blown out of control. Evil has been unleashed. Pure evil. As Turkey’s Islamic supremacist Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said about Israel’s act of self-defense against the killing flotilla: “Today is the beginning of a new age. Things will never be the same again.”
This is not about borders or land or aid. This is about good vs. evil. Stand against this latest libel against the Jews. You saw the video. You saw the vicious jihadis attack. This is the war against the West. Even if you are not Jewish or give a fig about Israel, in any war between the civilized man and the savage, always side with the civilized man.

RE-ISLAMIZATION OF TURKEY: RETURNING TO ..............
As Turkey marches to re-Islamization and the "glory" (/sarc) days of the caliphate and the Ottoman Empire. Let us take a moment and revisit the work of the Islamic empire. And we are not allowed to say genocide because.............you cannot defame Islam.

So when we speak about justice, even this word has different meaning. When we speak of peace, it has different meaning. Peace in Islam is peace according to Sharia. Peace for us is contrary to what this means in the Sharia."

ISTANBUL (Reuters) – A Catholic bishop who was a leading figure in Christian communities in the Middle East was stabbed to death at his home in southern Turkey Thursday, and police arrested his driver in connection with the attack.
The motive for the killing of Luigi Padovese, apostolic vicar for Anatolia, in the town of Iskenderun was not known (of course not). Previous attacks on Christians have raised concerns about the safety of religious minorities in Muslim Turkey.

This is interesting. The video above is Reuters coverage of the "Leaving Islam" freedom buses that has been broadcast repeatedly on international television. It is a fairly evenhanded report, though the headline is adhering to sharia (Islamic) law, "NYC bus ads anger Muslims." What about apostates and former Muslims? Don't they matter? Wouldn't a headline "NYC bus ads gives aid to apostates" be more appropriate? Why do the Islamic supremacists get all the media?
Reuters has 911 Mega Mosquer at Ground Zero, Daily Khan, attacking me. She states unequivocally that the bus ads are "deeply offensive," designed "to provoke" and "to polarize."
Funny, that sounds like an apt description of the the 911 mega mosque Khan and her fundamentalist hubby Imam Rauf are building on the hallowed burial ground of Ground Zero.
Daisy Khan makes the argument against the mosque unknowingly.
Oh and Daisy, Geller is the answer.
Mutual respect and mutual understanding only goes one way. Further, by Khan being against the bus ads, she is advocating for the killing of apostates as mandated in sharia law.
Remember - Sunday is D Day -- be at Ground Zero by hook or by crook to protest the building of a 13 story mega mosque at the war memorial of Ground Zero. Noon at Church and Liberty Streets.

There were about 2000 of us, including the EDL, JewishEDL set up by the wondrous Joe Bloggs who set up the LGBT EDL.
There was a fantastic sense of optimism and pride in Israel! The truth about the terrorist flotilla is coming out in great lumps all over the internet. Unfortunately, the Muslim Broadcasting Corpse(BBC) is WAY behind the real news, as are other dhimmi news media such as Daily Mail, Times and Telegraph. Its pointless mentioning the totally-submitted others.
We had tons of support from passers-by, who waved Israeli flags from the top of buses, from taxis and from posh cars. We even got the thumbs-up from a muslim girl on the top of a bus - unless that is a rude sign in her country!
There were hundreds of lovely young people - possibly half the Tottenham football club supporters, which really gave the rally a huge injection of energy and happiness: good to know the future is in their hands!

ROAD TRIP GAZA!
More on what I have been following for months. The abundance of food and other goods in Gaza is mind blowing. Perhaps that's why Hamas is refusing all humanitarian shipments -- they have nowhere to put it. Stuffed.
This is a propaganda war -- and the information battle space is the front, and big media is aligned with the jihad force.

The fundamental deception here is the use of the word “humanitarian.” As we saw, humanitarians don’t wield iron clubs and would have killed the Israelis had the Israelis not drawn their pistols in self-defense. But there’s a larger issue here. What exactly is the humanitarian crisis that the flotilla was actually addressing? There is none. There’s no one starving in Gaza. The Gazans have been supplied with food and social services, education, by the U.N., by UNRWA, for 60 years in part with American tax money. Second, when there are humanitarian needs, the Israelis allow every day food and medicine overland into Gaza.
The reason that it did not want to allow this flotilla is because, as the spokesman for the flotilla said herself, this was not about humanitarian relief, it was about breaking the blockade. And the reason the Israelis have a blockade is because they only want to allow humanitarian supplies and not weaponry. Look, the proof of that is the fact that if you look at a map of Gaza, you’ll see that Israelis only control three sides of this rectangle. There’s a fourth side on the Egyptian side. So it is an Egyptian-Israeli blockade. The Egyptians have the same problem with Gaza. People accuse Israelis of having a blockade because they’re racist, they’re anti-Muslim, anti-Arab. The Egyptians are Muslim and Arab, and they’ve gone to war three times on behalf of the Palestinians.
So why do they have exactly the same blockade? Because Gaza is run by Hamas, a terror entity that wants to import weaponry and resume the war against Israel. The man who made the announcement that we saw earlier, explaining the commando raid, is the defense minister of Israel. He’s not right winger. He’s Ehud Barak, who’s the leader of Labor, the party of Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir, the party of the left, the man who 10 years ago this summer offered the Palestinians a peace agreement that would provide a Palestinian state, division of Jerusalem and an end of the conflict. The Palestinians said no, and Gaza two years ago declared war on Israel. That’s why you’ve got a blockade, and the flotilla was not about humanitarian needs. It was about smashing the blockade. /p>
Here's a report for a Danish Newspaper over at Elders of Zion: Danish reporter Steffen Jensen visits Gaza to see how bad things are, given that the entire world is in an uproar over the humanitarian crisis there (translated):

When I yesterday morning drove through Gaza City, I was immediately surprised that there are almost as many traffic jams as there always has been. Is there not a shortage of fuel? Apparently not. Gasoline is not even rationed.
Many shops were closed yesterday, Hamas has declared a general strike in protest against Israel's brutal and deadly attack on the Turkish flotilla with pro-Palestinian activists on board. So it was difficult to estimate how many products were on the shelves. Therefore I went over to the Shati refugee camp, also known as Beach Camp. Here is one of Gaza's many vegetable markets that sell much more than just fruits and vegetables.
I will not say whether, in better times has been a larger product range than there was yesterday. But there was certainly no shortage of vegetables, fruits or any other ordinary, basic foods. Tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, watermelons, potatoes - mountains of these items in the many stalls.
I must admit I was a little surprised. Because when I call down here to my Palestinian friends, they tell me about all the problems and deficiencies, so I expected that the crisis was a little more clear.[...]
"We have nothing," she said. We need everything! Food, drinks ... everything! "
It disturbed her not at least that she stood between the mountains of vegetables, fruit, eggs, poultry and fish, while she spun this doomsday scenario.
Yousuf al-Assad Yazgy owns a fruit and vegetable outlet here in the market. All his fruit is imported from Israel.
"Not all fruit and all vegetables come from Israel. Ours does. They come from Israel. But in the Gaza Strip there is not very much fruit cultivated. Mostly tomatoes, potatoes and vegetables. So here with me are the vegetables and watermelon were from Gaza. All the fruit comes across the border from Israel," he explains, but also says that there can be long periods when the border is closed, and which therefore fruit does not come in.
THE NEW YORK TIMES LIBERAL FASCISM OPPOSES FREEDOM BUS ADS, SHOWS ITSELF TO BE IN FAVOR OF KILLING APOSTATES
In a shocking display of ignorance and dhimmitude, The New York Times sanctions sharia law and, inevitably, the killing of apostates. They dismiss, with a wave of the hand, the thousands of honor killings and apostate killings as small and inconvenient. In other words, not a problem.
Did the Times call me to get a statement or ask questions? No. Their shoe leather must be in pristine shape.
How dare they? How dare they render one life more important than another, or an ideology more important than its victims?
What is important in the article is not to defame or insult. What is important is the self-enforcement of sharia law -- scrubbing the awful truth from their narrative. Erudite savages.
1. The bus ads are to defend religious freedom.
2. To oppose bus ads is to oppose religious freedom.
3. We want to protect people from violent intimidation and threats.
4. By opposing the bus ads, the NY Times shows itself to be in favor of killing apostates.
The Times worries that our bus ads will "subvert" the "five million to seven million Muslims estimated to live in the United States [who] have behaved like others of Crèvecoeur’s new American men." Really, how? If they are not devout believers in Pure Islam (original Islam), how could our little bus campaign "subvert" them and turn them into ................violent jihadists? This is what passes for critical thinking at the Times.
The ads are not for the millions the Times is worried about. If they are indeed "Crèvecoeur’s new American men," they are believers in religious liberty. These ads are for the thousands who are in trouble.
Did the Times do any investigative journalism, like the Washington Times, and speak to former Muslims, or those leaving Islam? No. Here's what the Washington Times found in Detroit, where our ads have been rejected (and where we are suing based on freedom of speech):

"The fear is palpable. I know there are things I am 'not allowed' to say. A discussion of religion with a Muslim person is often prefaced by the statement, 'Dont say anything about the Prophet [Muhammad].' In free society, open and honest conversation is not usually begun by a prohibition. Threats and intimidation are just part of life here."
[...]The Dearborn educator, however, said the ads serve a positive purpose.
"This kind of campaign and Americans support of it could assure these frightened Muslims that they have the rights that every other American has, that they will be protected, not abandoned or exposed to their leaders should they act upon their desire to be free," the teacher said.
Even the NY Times headline is misleading. No one was demonizing the adherents of Islam. The freedom buses were meant to provide information to those in trouble, like victims of spousal abuse, domestic violence, etc.

NEW YORK — They are not exactly ubiquitous, but according to The Daily News, 40 New York City buses are rolling these days with an unusual and, to be frank, dubious advertisement emblazoned on their sides.
“Fatwa on your head?” the ad reads, in a message apparently aimed at Muslims who want to convert to another religion or simply not to be Muslims anymore. “Is your family or community threatening you?”
The ad is promoting a Web site, RefugeFromIslam.com, where, presumably, New York Muslims whose lives have been threatened because they want to convert can turn for help, and the site contains links to other sites with various anti-Islamic purposes. “Muslims Against Sharia,” for example, aims “to educate Muslims about dangers presented by Islamic religious texts and why Islam must be reformed.”
[...]Probably that is not about to change drastically; and yet, those bus ads are a small sign that Islamic extremism and the often intemperate and panicky reaction to it are creating a kind of vicious cycle in which the traditional interethnic truce and live-and-let-live civility of American life could be casualties.
The ads, which, according to The Daily News, will run for a month, were created by a 51-year-old conservative blogger named Pamela Geller, who heads a group called Stop the Islamization of America and sees as its task to expose the supposedly retrograde and repressive nature of Islam itself.
“There ought to be ads also for people who want to leave Islam,” she told The Daily News. “Their lives are threatened.”
Are they? There is no doubt that in any number of Muslim countries, apostasy is indeed a crime punishable by death.
Maybe, in the privacy of Islamic American society, there are similar threats. But certainly Ms. Geller’s various Web sites offer no evidence of them, despite a strenuous effort to do so. The site listed on that bus ad refers vaguely to an “honor killing” that took place 20 years ago in Arizona. It also reprints a news account from 2007 about a Muslim man living in Queens who stabbed his wife to death, a terrible crime, but there is no indication that this particular killing was perpetrated because the wife no longer wanted to be Muslim.
This is deliberately inaccurate. I have an entire category devoted to Islamic honor killings. How dare the NY Times dismiss the lives of these girls, these women away with a wave of their leftist hand. Who are they to determine whose lives matter and whose don't? Liberal fascism.
