It is with great pleasure that I reopen up the One Click health advocacy pressure group website today for the publishing of controversial information/evidence and the placing of it in the public domain. Thank you so much to all who have sent emails and enquiries from around the world in relation to One Click's recent absence from the web and your kind words. I've had the chest infection from hell in recent weeks and although still not properly recovered, public demand has become so great that to hell with the wretched bug and doctor's orders too <>. On we continue in our inimitable way as the political/medical global raw news hub that we have become famously acknowledged for, representing a social service. On behalf of One Click, I apologise to our regular contributors for not being able to publish all of your material recently. I have a huge catch-up job to do and will need to take my time to achieve this. Take care all and wish you well.

Following the Interim Orders Panel hearing on 29th April, 2010, the Supporting Dr Sarah Myhill website has been set up by supporters to continue to provide her friends, colleagues, and patients with the latest information on her case with the General Medical Council. This purpose of this website is to draw together information already in the public domain. It provides a comprehensive section on 'How to Help' for those who wish to play an active part in the campaign to secure justice for Dr Myhill. This time we need big guns to attack the GMC and challenge GMC sanctions so that her clinical freedoms can be restored and restored early. We need a fighting fund to give the GMC a broadside that will shake the medical world to its foundat ions! Please help by donating to the Fighting Fund to defeat the General Medical Council. Dr Myhill will be ably represented by Saunders Law Partnership LLP. Please help Dr Myhill to help you all. Tomorrow, One Click will be publishing the breaking General Medical Council news regarding how this quango has acted illegally in the case of Dr Sarah Myhill. Watch this space.

One of our alleged sources, a young US intelligence analyst, Bradley Manning, has been detained and shipped to a US military prison in Kuwait, where he is being held without trail. Mr. Manning is alleged to have acted according to his conscious and leaked to us the Collateral Murder video and the video of a massacre that took place in Afghanistan last year at Garani. The Garani massacre, which we are still working on, killed over 100 people, mostly children. Mr. Manning was allegedly exposed after talking to an unrelated "journalist" who then worked with the US government to detain him. WikiLeaks a small organization going through enormous growth and operating in an advers arial, high-security environment which can make communication time consuming and the acquisition of new staff and volunteers, also difficult since they require high levels of trust. To try and deal with our growth and the current difficult situation, we want to get you to work together with our other supporters to set up a "Friends of WikiLeaks" group in your area. We have multiple supporters in most countries and would like to see them be a strong and independent force. Please write to friends@sunshinepress.org if you are interested in helping with Friends of WikiLeaks in your area. You will receive further instructions. We also have significant unexpected legal costs (for example flying a legal team to Kuwait, video production. Collateral Murder production costs were $50,000 all up). Any financial contributions will be of IMMEDIATE assistance. Please donate and tell the world that you have done so. Encourage all your friends to follow the example you set, after all, courage is contagious.

Babies, they say, say, are a nice way to start people. They are also, it would appear, a nice way to start profit. If the babies are Indian, there’s added allure to the profit because there are so many of them every year. In the days to come, as the denouement of a series of extraordinary events, the Indian government is expected to make a fresh decision on the number of vaccines Indian infants are to be given soon after birth. Much rests on the decision for Indian families and, oddly, the World Health Organisation (WHO), which has made a bizarre push for new vaccines it wants Indian newborns to be given in the country’s public health programme. A decision one way could risk the lives of the country’s babies because there are doubts on the quality of vaccines the WHO is pitching for. This vaccine soup has been stirred by the WHO, which is in the midst of several controversies of late for creating medical scares and then backing drugs to fight them. In the first week of June, the WHO admitted it had failed to disclose conflict of interest for scientists who advised it on the H1N1 influenza pandemic. The response came after a British media report said the WHO had announced a fake pandemic to boost sales for pharmaceutical companies that manufacture antiviral drugs and the H1N1 vaccine. Now, there appear to be the makings of a similar controversy over what may be taking the shape of an Indian vaccine scam. One Click Note: This article is a MUST READ.

The Obama Administration and senior BP officials are frantically working not to stop the world’s worst oil disaster, but to hide the true extent of the actual ecological catastrophe. Senior researchers tell us that the BP drilling hit one of the oil migration channels and that the leakage could continue for years unless decisive steps are undertaken, something that seems far from the present strategy. There is a deafening silence from the very environmental organizations which ought to be at the barricades demanding that BP, the US Government and others act decisively. Environmental non-profit groups that have accepted donations from or joined in projects with BP include Nature Conservancy, Conservation International, Environmental Defense Fund, Sierra Club and Audubon. That could explain why the political outcry to date for decisive action in the Gulf has been so muted. Of course those organizations are not going to be the ones to solve this catastrophe. The central point at this point is who is prepared to put the urgently demanded federal and international scientific resources into solving this crisis. Further actions of the likes of that from the Obama White House to date or from BP can only lead to the conclusion that some very powerful people want this debacle to continue. The next weeks will be critical to that assessment.

Reading the long, detailed and carefully referenced account of the harm caused by the Chernobyl explosion is a very sobering experience. It is in stark contrast to the summary of the report of the Chernobyl Forum. The complacent IAEA reports are in stark contrast to what is being observed by people on the ground. Doctors and other medical health workers in the former Soviet Union and other countries are reporting far more deaths and radiation-related illnesses than the official figures show. Yablokov and his colleagues have made vast quantities of evidence available to those us who cannot read Slavic languages; there is now even less excuse for ignoring it. For the IAEA to persist in claiming that no more than a few thousand people were killed or injured as a result of Chernobyl and that those who fear the after effects are mostly suffering from psychological problems is an insult to all those who live in the shadow of the explosion. It is grossly i rresponsible for governments and the nuclear industry to cite those figures as justification for building new nuclear plants all over the world. Were a major incident to occur – and sooner or later one is bound to – the consequences could be catastrophic. We simply cannot afford to go nuclear.

In this newsletter we’re asking you to make sure the blame for much of the increase in the harassment of disabled people is placed where it belongs – at the door of the DWP and its ministers, with their constant campaign of vilification against sick and disabled claimants. The Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has begun an investigation into whether public bodies are fulfilling their legal obligations to prevent disabled people from being harassed. If you think the DWP are failing in this duty – and actually making things much worse - email EHRC and tell them so, your details will not be made public. And please, let other people know about this enquiry – the more people who contribute the harder it will be for the EHRC to ignore the DWP’s role in hate crimes. If you do contact EHRC, please consider posting something on our free blog to encourage others. There’s also more information a nd links on the same blog page at Tables turned - your chance to shop DWP and BBC.
