A TEA-PARTY BOYCOTT OF MSNBC?

Life is stranger than fiction.

Chris Matthews and MSNBC do what they do every day of the year, a hit job on the tea-party movement, and Dick Armey of FreedomWorks, a group trying to define the tea-party movement, is stunned.

Other tea-party activists call for a boycott of MSNBC.

Excuse me? Why are any tea-party people watching MSNBC?

I don't.

Nobody does!

MSNBC is a bad joke.

I've seen enough YouTube videos emailed to me to understand what is going on over there.

I thought all sane, rational people were already boycotting MSNBC.

It's pure, unadulterated left-wing agitprop.

But listen to what Armey had to say about Matthews, a Democratic Party political hack turned pseudo-newsman: "He's a better person than that.  What's he doing? He's given himself over to something. I like him, personally, but it was sort of like - I had the feeling like my  favorite nephew was doing something out of character. Chris, you're  better than this."

Chris is not better than this. Chris is the guy who gets thrills up his leg when Barack Obama speaks.

Meanwhile, here's what Anna Puig of Kitchen Table Patriots had to say: "The propaganda piece only serves a left-wing agenda, and I will do everything I can to convince Dawn to stop funding MSNBC's lies. I'm asking tea-party groups around the country to help us in this effort. Individual tea-party members will be boycotting Dawn products until the company takes appropriate action regarding the decision to advertise during the 'Hardball' hit piece, and ceases funding MSNBC."

This makes a little more sense.

Far more tea-party members use Dawn dishwashing liquid than watch MSNBC.

I, too, will stop buying Dawn until I hear the company has cleaned up its act.

I'm all for forcing Chris Matthews to go back on the payroll of some Democratic politician where he belongs.

But, let's not get too excited about MSNBC. It long ago abrogated its franchise. The hosts are afraid to invite any guest who disagrees with them. They are talking to themselves. There's no attempt at balance. There's no attempt at fairness. There's no concern for the truth.

Why would anyone expect anything different from Chris Matthews or MSNBC?

MSNBC couldn't be any further to the left if it were owned by Mother Jones. In fact, I will say it: Mother Jones does better journalism than MSNBC.

When WND came online in 1997, MSNBC.com was the biggest news outlet on the Net. It was No. 1. I remember telling people back then that one day, WND.com would surpass it. We did - years ago.

On television, Fox News surpassed MSNBC shortly after it went on the air and has never looked back.

Look, I love the tea-party movement, but we've got bigger fish to fry than MSNBC - even when they libel us and smear us - which occurs every night.

MSNBC is taking care of itself. Like Newsweek and CNN and dozens of other phony news organizations, they are going down like dinosaurs.

OK, don't buy Dawn dishwashing liquid.

But sit back and enjoy watching these folks drown in their own incompetence, ignorance and insincerity.

It's a sight to behold.

We should celebrate when these monsters attack us. It means we're doing good things. It means we've got them on the defensive. It means we're winning and effective.

For heaven's sake, don't compliment them. Don't tell the world they're better than this. They're not. They're evil. They're slime. And they're getting what they deserve.

Why any tea-party activist would cooperate with an MSNBC show is beyond me.

Why any tea-party activist would watch MSNBC is beyond me.

Why any person with an IQ above 80 would watch MSNBC is beyond me.
