Five Katyusha Rockets Hit Eilat

Five Katyusha rockets hit the city of Eilat on Monday morning. According to police, two exploded in open areas and three fell into the sea. No injuries were reported.

Residents of the city reported hearing loud blasts at approximately 8 a.m.

Israel has asked Egyptian official to help determine the source of the rocket fire. The rocket fire is suspected to have been carried out by terrorists in Sinai, however, other possibilities are being examined as well.

Rockets were fired at Eilatthree and a half months ago. One landed in the sea, and one hit the Jordanian city of Aqaba.

Dozens Wounded in Gaza Blast, IDF Denies Involvement

An explosion rocked the home of senior Hamas terrorist Ala a-Nadaf early on Monday morning. The blast led to the building's collapse.

According to reports from Gaza, at least 24 people, and possibly more than 30, were wounded in the incident. There

There was no word on whether a-Nadaf was among the casualties.

Hamas sources accused the Israel Air Force of having bombed the building. However, the IDF has denied any connection to the blast, and said IAF planes did not carry out any operations in Gaza overnight.

Yesterday the IAF attacked smuggling tunnels in Gaza in response to a rocket attack that damaged a building used for physical therapy.
