Ibn Warraq and Obama’s Ramadan Obeisance to Totalitarian Islam

Andrew Bostom writes of the presience of colleague Ibn Warraq. Warraq’s comments about the totalitarinaism of Islam from his book, Defending the West: A Critique of Edward Said’s Orientalism, are an apt description of the dhimmitude on display in President Obama’s Ramadan greetings to the American ummah and his defense of the controversial ground zero mega-mosque project, which he subsequently hedged. Apparently this may been prompted by droves of Democrats who Twittered the White House in apparent dismay. J Gordon of The Iconoclast

Here is Bostom’s post on Warraq’s clarity versus Obama’s dhimmitude;

Ibn Warraq Defends the Western Values Barrack Obama Defiles With His Obeisance to Totalitarian Islam

By Andy Bostom

Obama’s Ramadan obeisance to the avatars of totalitarian Islam (i.e., the various Muslim Brotherhood fronts well represented in the White House, as Frank Gaffney aptly noted)—was “highlighted”, according to the Associated...

Pastor John Hagee: “Ani Yisreali – I Am An Israeli”

The question remains , is CUIF a Trojan Horse? Should we accept their political support and donations uncritically? Should we accept them at all in view of their wider anti Jewish agenda? Yamit

Ani Yisraeli
Israel Matzav

Nearly fifty years ago, John F. Kennedy stood in front of a crowd in Berlin and announced Ich bin eine Berliner (I am a Berliner) in response to the Soviet siege against the Western part of the city. And last month, Pastor John Hagee stood up in front of the fifth annual Christians United For Israel Washington Summit and announced Ani Yisraeli (I am an Israeli).

Our world is divided into two groups: those who support Israel and those who do not.

There is no middle ground. Because the ghost of Hitler now walks the earth in a renaissance of anti-Semitism and because the enemies of Israel sense America’s reluctance to defend Israel against a nuclear Iran, those who stand in solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people must send a loud and clear message to...

Islam Means the End of Religious Freedom

By Daniel Greenfield, Sultan Knish

At an Iftar dinner in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama proclaimed that he supports the building of the Ground Zero mosque as part of his “unshakable commitment to religious freedom”. Which of course sounds very noble and good, until you ask a single question, Where is the religious freedom in the Muslim world?

Obama has made the case for Islam in America, on the grounds that America’s religious diversity promotes the religious freedom of all. Islam no less than any other belief system. Yet if introducing Islam into America promotes religious freedom, then why is there no religious freedom in the Muslim world? Why are churches firebombed in Malaysia because Christians presumed to use the word Allah? Why are non-Muslims forbidden to enter the city of Mecca, from which Jews and Christians were ethnically cleansed by Mohammed? Why are Coptic Christians being oppressed and humiliated by the Egyptian government? Why are Muslims...

‘Sharon was Kahane killer’s target’

There are more questions than answers, but if all the dots known are connected I would be very worried. Yamit

Exposé reveals counter-terrorism blunders and FBI memos.
The man who killed Meir Kahane in 1990 claims he did not carry out the shooting alone, as previously thought, but was part of a three-man terrorist cell with links to al-Qaida. Its original target was future prime minister Ariel Sharon, according to a newly-leaked US government document.

During his investigation for an article into alleged counter- terrorism blunders published in Playboy magazine on Friday, freelance journalist Peter Lance uncovered official FBI memos which bring new information to light about the murder of the Israeli politician in New York.

According to the documents, Kahane’s killer, El-Sayyid Nosair, told detectives in 2005 that he had planned to assassinate Sharon, who was then Israel’s minister of housing and construction.

“Nosair further stated that Ariel Sharon was his original target and...

Obama Is Colluding with a New Fascist Imperialism

By James Lewis, AMERICAN THINKER

Nothing is more like the fascist Axis of the 1930s than Islamist expansionism today. Like the Hitler-Tojo-Mussolini Axis of the 1930s, Islamic fascists are fundamentally imperialistic, with an explicit order from on High to subjugate civilized people or turn them to ashes. Mohammed himself famously threatened the cultured Persian and Byzantine Emperors of his time, and in the following years, his followers knocked those empires over like devouring army ants.

The peace-loving Buddhist monasteries of India were consumed by invading Muslim armies, with the result that there are no Buddhist monasteries left in India today. Not a single one. Only Hinduism survived the Muslim invasions, because Hindus are not pacifists. You can ask any Sikh about that; they are a huge warrior religion that arose as a buffer between Hindu India and its many Muslim invaders, who now hold Pakistan and Afghanistan. In India, the Buddhist monks just died or fled to Tibet. So much...

The question of Iran

Jeffrey Golberg has written a major 10,000 word article, The Point of No Return, on the question of Iran’s attempt to get the bomb. Here’s his opening paragraph. Remember Goldberg is a liberal.

For the Obama administration, the prospect of a nuclearized Iran is dismal to contemplate— it would create major new national-security challenges and crush the president’s dream of ending nuclear proliferation. But the view from Jerusalem is still more dire: a nuclearized Iran represents, among other things, a threat to Israel’s very existence. In the gap between Washington’s and Jerusalem’s views of Iran lies the question: who, if anyone, will stop Iran before it goes nuclear, and how? As Washington and Jerusalem study each other intensely, here’s an inside look at the strategic calculations on both sides—and at how, if things remain on the current course, an Israeli air strike will unfold.

Find the time. It is worth it.

Obama changed his mosque endorsement after Palin called him out on it

Palin’s facebook comment

Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive “cross-cultural engagement” and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven’t they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite?

Mr. President, why aren’t you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson’s generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven’t they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in...

Obama ‘Hedges’ on Ground Zero Mosque (Push-Me-Pull-You Strategy?)

By Andrew L. Jaffee, netwmd.com

One day, President Obama “forcefully” supports the planned Ground Zero mosque, and the next day he backs off, straddling the fence. Well, that’s a definite maybe; he’s a regular push-me-pull-you of politics.

Before:

After skirting the controversy for weeks, President Barack Obama is weighing in forcefully on the mosque near ground zero, saying a nation built on religious freedom must allow it. …

“That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” he said. “This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.” …

After:

… “I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there,” Obama said. “I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding....
