Gail Winslow Israel Commentary September 20, 2010 CORRUPTION KEPT BEHIND CLOSED DOORS by Gail Winslow Freeman Center Middle East Analyst & Commentator Republican candidates for America’s November 2nd Midterm elections should be reminding the public that, despite pledges of transparency, the Democratic agenda has been consistently pushed though “Behind Closed Doors”. Sunshine laws and informing the public before using their Congressional prerogatives to push through unwanted legislation – totally ignoring their public’s opinions. President Barack Hussein Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid easily hijacked the Democratic Party through threats and bribes – all “Behind Closed Doors”. A few of their arrogant bully policies stand out such as: Obama-care, Cap & Trade, borrowing Trillions from American Taxpayers as Bailouts – with no way to pay the growing debt of now at least $13 Trillion dollars. What's really scary is that Nancy Pelosi is third in line to succeed into the Presidency if numbers one and two are disabled. Obama, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, and the Federal Reserve are printing money as if they were children playing Monopoly where the fake money merely goes back in the box when one player loses his properties and mortgages. (Sound familiar?) Once upon a time Democrats were expected to question selected nominations by a President to determine if his appointees were qualified for office and responsibilities to serve the nation. Under Obama this is no longer the practice. Obama selects anyone he wants, regardless of their background and eliminates Congressional vetting whenever possible. Even the FBI’s traditional review of key candidates is cut out of the loop. These appointees are not merely unelected and unscreened advisors but, they have been given powers over budgets and control as if they were actually elected and were responsible to a constituency. Some of Obama’s appointees, Czars and Czarinas have already had to resign when their backgrounds as Communists and/or anti-American “community organizers” were exposed. Never have Americans been so tricked and deceived by an Administration that has actually embezzled their Constitutional rights. Shamefully, a once proud Democratic Party has succumbed to Obama’s “Behind Closed Doors” policies wherein Obama-Pelosi-Reid decide the fate of the nation in secrecy, using bribes and threats to manipulate a weak Democratic majority. Clearly, it is time for Republican Candidates to speak about opening these “Closed Door” wheeling and dealing policies and let sunshine into the conference room. Have you ever seen a roach infested kitchen where the roaches thrive in the dark but, when the light is flipped on, they scurry into the cracks waiting until the lights go out and no one can see them? The Democrats need the lesson of being out of office so new candidates can revert to a time when political manipulation was not so blatant, crass, self-serving and arrogant. Republicans also can learn the lesson that the American Government belongs to the people – not the other way around. President Obama should know he is only a temporary elected official and not King, Monarch or Dictator. “We, the People” pay his salary and he should respond to the wishes of his employers: “We, the People”.
