The Dame Truth Presents
The Fate of our Nation
Coming Home:One Year Later Leadership
Mondays 11:00 PM EST
"The Dame Truth"
Welcomes the Special Return
of
Sgt. Dean J. Sanchez
Join us for our one year update!
Sgt. Sanchez first appeared on our show a year ago, after returning from his 4th combat deployment in the Middle East.
Immediately, he stepped up to the challenges at hand, this time successfully fighting the terrorism within: he organized and saved his neighborhood community center, ran a campaign for a city council candidate and found time to travel to Chicago, IL to cover Continental Congress 2009. At present, he works with the USMC in Denver, CO as a liason for returning vets in need, and is a supporter and liason for one of The Dame's favorite programs, Puppies Behind Bars; not surprisingly, he has been nominated for the American GI Forum's 2010 Leadership Award.
In his own words,
"American GI Forum's Mile High Chapter to design and implement a Young Veterans Leadership Conference. After serving with so many young men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan, I believe that the one great thing that has come from this war, is a generation of Americans who are disciplined, know self-sacrifice, and are invested in making our country a better place for all. With the mentorship and guidance from those who have gone before us I believe that the future of our country is in the hands of these young men and women, and I will use the grant to foster these ideals and work towards making our country great."
The Dame says:
"As many of you already know, I can vouch personally for the character, intelligence and motivation of Sgt. Sanchez; His stellar record as a Marine reminds us once again that there truly is hope for the future of our country as leaders like Sgt. Sanchez emerge.
His commitment to pick up where the Greatest Generation left off to make our country the best it can be is unfailing. [Even as I write this, he is on his way to New York to do a presentation with the prison system's pups behind bars program].
His skills with people, ability to motivate and find creative solutions to every challenge with which he is tasked is the kind of thing we need in America today. Please take a few seconds to click on the link and vote for him, and then pass this out to all of your lists. America needs role models like him, now more than ever before. Rarely do we find these days a more selfless individual whose dedication to a greater America is so complete.
If you do only one thing today, please make it be the few seconds it takes to click on the link below to cast your vote for Sgt. Sanchez as the winner of the 2010 American GI Forum Leadership Award!
Best in patriotism, and many thanks for helping our new leaders move forward!
Join us for this very important show, and share it with others--the only way to start finding solutions is by working together to support one another in our goals as a Nation, a People and as individuals!
