'Maude’s relationship with Middleton is an interesting one. Whist Maude is at the centre of a Conservative government supposedly committed to achieving massive public spending cuts, Middleton is hoovering up public money for its socialist ‘leadership’ training. But alongside the common purpose money comes cronyism, if not fraud.
A damning 11 page Confidential Surrey County Council Audit report dated September 2009 was commissioned after an internal investigation could not justify a £48,000 Council deal with Common Purpose to send four senior officers and ten external delegates on a CP training course. Several senior council officers, including the Chief Executive Richard Shaw had previously served on Common Purpose advisory panels and the Council’s normal procurement processes were waived when the contract was awarded. Amongst other criticisms of the Council’s relationship with Common Purpose, the report states: “It is the opinion of the auditor that value for money could not be demonstrated on the subsidy of 10 places on the Surrey [Common Purpose] InsideOUT programme.”
Unreported by mainstream press and media, Sheffield City Council recently had its circa £1 billion public accounts frozen by the auditor due to irregularities concerning Common Purpose contracts. As with Surrey, Sheffield is already infested with Common Purpose graduates.'

'Friday 8th October 2010 – A Friday October morning at the Magistrates` Court in the small Welsh town of Brecon seems an unlikely setting for a case that promises to have a fundamental effect on the entire British legal and tax-collecting system. Amongst the usual run-of-the-mill cases that turn up in a small rural community was one involving Powys Council`s application over the non-payment of Council Tax, issued against John Hurst and his wife Tina.
Before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion, John Hurst is no free-loader. He is a highly responsible and patriotic citizen, a former police officer with an impressive record. His decision not to pay is based on thorough research indicating that councils have no legal right whatsoever to levy such a tax on its citizens. Believing this to be true, John would have therefore committed an offence by actually paying the tax, as the majority of us already have. Given that ignorance of the law is no defence, it places the overwhelming majority of hitherto respectable British citizens in an invidious situation and the courts in an even worse one.'

'April Charney - a consumer lawyer with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid - and CNBC's Dennis Kneale noted in February 2009 that courts have found that some mortgages have been sold again and again to different trusts, when they should have only been sold once.
Kneale explained that that is the reason that two different banks sometimes try to simultaneously foreclose on the same home.'

'We now stand at the edge of the global financial abyss of a ‘Great Global Debt Depression,’ where nations, mired in extreme debt, are beginning to implement ‘fiscal austerity’ measures to reduce their deficits, which will ultimately result in systematic global social genocide, as the middle classes vanish and the social foundations upon which our nations rest are swept away. How did we get here? Who brought us here? Where is this road leading? These are questions I will briefly attempt to answer.
At the heart of the global political economy is the central banking system. Central banks are responsible for printing a nation’s currency and setting interest rates, thus determining the value of the currency. This should no doubt be the prerogative of a national government, however, central banks are of a particularly deceptive nature, in which while being imbued with governmental authority, they are in fact privately owned by the world’s major global banks, and are thus profit-seeking institutions. How do central banks make a profit? The answer is simple: how do all banks make a profit? Interest on debt. Loans are made, interest rates are set, and profits are made. It is a system of debt, imperial economics at its finest.'
