Al-Qaeda In The Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Establishes Aden-Abyan Army, Announces Operational Unit 'Working Day And Night In Preparation For Targeting The Enemy – Very Soon – On Its Soil'

On October 11, 2010, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) media company Al-Malahim posted an audio recording from its chief military commander Qasim Al-Rimi, aka Abu Hurayra Al-San'ani, on the Shumukh Al-Islam jihadi forum. In the recording, Al-Rimi discusses the ongoing struggle against the government of Yemen President Abdallah 'Ali Saleh, and announces the establishment of a new AQAP army.

The audio runs 14 minutes and 44 seconds and can be divided into two main parts. In the first part, Al-Rimi speaks about the status of jihad in Yemen and enumerates many of the victories achieved by the mujahideen in their war against Yemeni authorities.
