'The High Court in Ireland has ruled that laws cutting off internet users who have illegally downloaded content cannot be enforced in the country.
It is a victory for Irish internet service provider UPC which took the legal action against copyright owners, including EMI and Sony. But it will be a blow to the music and film industry, which wants the strict rules as a deterrent against piracy. It is likely to have a knock-on effect to similar policies in other countries.'

'India has seen three vaccine disasters in 2010, resulting in four deaths after the measles vaccine and six deaths after the HPV vaccine, so is it any wonder that the citizens of India are wary of having the H1N1 vaccine? The Indian public is not alone in refusing the vaccine, as Finland and Sweden have suspended the H1N1 vaccine by Glaxo Smith Kline, Pandermix, linking it to the sudden rise in the numbers of cases of the sleep disorder, narcolepsy. Finland reported that they have seen a staggering 300 percent rise in the cases of this extremely rare disorder in children who have had the vaccine.'

'So if Obama doesn’t appear interested in the job of president, what does he do day after day? Well, he takes his meetings just like any other president would, though even then, he seems to lack a certain focus and on a few occasions, actually leaves with the directive that be given a summary of the meeting at a later date. I hear he plays a lot of golf, and watches a lot of television – ESPN mainly.
I’ll tell you this – if you want to see President Obama get excited about a conversation, turn it to sports. That gets him interested. You start talking about Congress, or some policy, and he just kinda turns off. It’s really very strange. I mean, we were all led to believe that this guy was some kind of intellectual giant, right? Ivy League and all that. Well, that is not what I saw.'

'WSJ is reporting that bonuses on Wall Street this year are expected to be around $144 billion. How big is that relative to the overall economy? ZeroHedge cranked out the numbers and it is 8% of the total money supply (as measured by M1). Got that? Investment bankers will control 8% of the entire money supply once bonuses are paid.
Now, there is nothing wrong with bankers earning good change as a result of dealmaking, but a good portion of the bonuses are the result of money being shoveled to bankers by Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke. Where's Bernanke getting the money to shovel to Wall Street? Why he is just printing it, that's what he does.'
