What makes the VFW-PAC’s choice so heinous is the fact that Klein, the rich lawyer from Boca Raton, is running against former Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. You know Lieutenant Colonel West don’t you? He’s an infantry colonel and a veteran of the wars in the Persian Gulf – you know those FOREIGN WARS? He’s a veteran of a war that was foreign. I find they are also supporting: (PDF) list of candidates that VFW_PAC is supporting Barbara Boxer, Steny Hoyer, Barbara Mikulsky, Chris VanHollen, John Dingell, Chuckie Schumer, Pat Leahy and Patty Murray it’s like a Who’s Who of the folks who have tried to screw the troops and have contributed to the lengthening of the war in the east. Oh, yeah, COB6, they’re supporting your guy’s opponent, too.
Mr. Klein is NOT a veteran; he has NEVER risked his life for our country. Lt. Col. West has served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Military and continues to fight for the American people and those in the Military. How on earth can a VFW PAC support a non veteran??!
My father flew 50 missions over Germany in the Second World War, and was shot into the English Channel in February of 1944; thousands of other men risked and sacrificed their lives every day, not only in the air but on European soil, Pacific Island soil and in the oceans. It is a disgrace for the Veterans of Foreign Wars not to support a fellow Veteran of Foreign wars and one cannot help but wonder what kind of money or influence may have changed hands in return for the VFW to make such a despicable choice.
