On November 17, the London Arabic-language daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported the burning of ten Christian houses in a southern Egyptian town following rumors of an affair between a Christian man and a Muslim woman. This follows a November 7, 2010, video purported to be from the "Brigade of Martyrs" of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI),posted on Jihadist websites, threatening Christians in Egypt and around the Middle East. Special Dispatch No. 3384—Pakistan/South Asia Studies Project/Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor Pakistani NGO Organizes Courses on 'Jihadist Verses' of the Holy Koran in 18 Cities of Pakistan Al-Rehmat Trust, a non-governmental organization that is a front for the Pakistani jihadist group Jaish-e-Muhammad, has organized a series of lessons on the "jihadist verses" of the holy Koran in several Pakistani cities. According to a report in the Urdu-language weekly magazine Haftroza Al-Qalam, which is affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad, the lessons were organized by Majlis-e-Dawat-ul-Quran Pakistan, a religious organization. Jaish-e-Muhammad is an Al-Qaeda-linked militant group headed by Maulana Masood Azhar. Azhar was one of the three militants released by India in exchange for the passengers of the Indian plane hijacked to Kandahar in 1999. Special Dispatch No. 3385—South Asia Studies Project/Pakistan/Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor Canadian-Pakistani Woman Describes Her Journey from Flood Relief Camp to Taliban Hideout in North Waziristan Sayeeda Faryal Zehra, a Pakistani-Canadian from Calgary recently led a team of flood relief workers on a journey to a Taliban hideout in North Waziristan. In October, after her visit, she chose to write about her journey to the Taliban hideout utilizing Roman script to communicate in Urdu so that the write-up could only be read by people in Pakistan. To read the full report, visit http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/4774.htm. *Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor Jihadi Sheikh: This 'Id Al-Adha, Let Us Sacrifice More than Just a Sheep; "Nothing is Purer than Pure Blood Spilled for the Sake of Allah" On the occasion of 'Id Al-Adha (The Festival of Sacrifice), the jihadi website Shumukh Al-Islam posted a message by Sheikh Abu Sa'd Al-'Amili, titled "'Id Al-Adha – a School for Sacrifice and Self-Sacrifice." In it, he calls upon the Muslims to discharge their holiday duty not by merely sacrificing a sheep or a cow, but by sacrificing their lives and the lives of their children, because today, more than ever, Islam "needs pure blood spilled for the sake of Allah." Al-'Amili stresses that the mujahideen are the only ones who fulfill this duty on a daily basis on the battlefields, thereby leading the Muslim nation from victory to victory. Currently we are undergoing the trial of war with the People of Falsehood. The People of Truth are being hunted in the mountains, and many of their preachers and their mujahideen, and even their women, are being arrested... AQAP Releases New Video With Exclusive Footage Of Mujahideen Operations In Southern Yemen On November 11, 2010, the Al-Malahim media company, which is the media wing of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, released a video titled "Deterring the [Acts of] Aggression," on a jihadi web forum. The video includes exclusive footage of what appears to be the aftermath of a Yemeni army offensive in southern Yemen, of eyewitnesses accounts the attacks, and of an attack in real time by mujahideen on a military checkpoint in the city of Jaar in southern Yemen.
