... well, mine actually. Continuum (my publishers) have started their own blog - and even given anice plug to "days of glory". And just because the Battle of Britain period is over, that doesn't mean that the work has slackened off. I've made very substantial additions to these four posts, here, here, here and here. I've also been working on updating the introduction, explaining the rationale behind the blog and the book.
One thing I'm particularly pleased about is some of the photographs added. A kind reader sent me a link to pics of the Birmingham Blitz, which I have used. Additionally, I've been able to find some very rare photographs of the ships and equipment that were going to be used for the invasion of Britain, including some of the Marinefährprahm (above) which came too late for the invasion – these seen off the island of Leros in 1943.
The pics include the one above (top), which shows in incredibly rare scene from an invasion rehearsal, which illustrates what the beaches of England during "Invasion 1940" might actually have looked like, as horse teams are lead from converted Rhine barges.
From this, the only way you can take the German threat of invasion seriously is by knowing absolutely nothing of the equipment they planned to use. With any knowledge at all, it is evident that it would have been a complete disaster. Anyhow, the work goes on.
BATTLE OF BRITAIN THREAD
We've always said of Cameron that he is a poor politician, but this sort or arrogant stupidity will be the death of him. He is making himself a walking target. Then, I suppose, a fool and his vanity are not easily parted. He will go down with his pride, unaware even that he has done anything wrong.
At least the lame and the stupidrecognise that it has been an own goal, describing the subsequent parliamentary exchanges as "epic squalor".

... but it is good to have it confirmed. The climate scare is gradually falling apart. And with no US "cap and trade", there will be no money to sustain it. The scaremongers will move on to find more profitable causes.
The big problem now is to get through to the idiot politicians, to undo some of the damage they and their predecessors have done. That is going to be difficult. We still have legislation on the stocks, introduced on the assumption that BSE was going to cause a large-scale epidemic in humans. Getting legislators to claw back on legislation is one of the hardest tasks known to man.
The next hardest thing is to get those who supported the scare to admit to their stupidity. But the world does not work that way. The old scares are forgotten, and new ones forged. Nobody ever admits they are wrong. That way, we never learn the lessons and are always prey to the scaremongers, failing to recognise them as they employ the tools of their trade until it is too late.
With so many now reinventing the wheel, or asking themselves "where did we go wrong", we had it sussed years ago with Scared to Death. There is nothing special about "climate change", apart from its longevity. It is a scare, or "moral panic" if you prefer. All of them follow the same pattern. They have their own "biology", their cycles of birth, life and death. This one is dying. It is all over, bar paying the bill.

Exactly a year ago, euroslimy Dave was telling us all how he was going to sort out "Europe". How different it all looks now.
Meanwhile, this man is in la-la land. But then, he does write for The Independent.
