THE MONEY

Read Hayek (in spite of its averred altruism). As for Keynes, I thought we defeated slavery in the war between the States. Like all evil, it resurrects and morphs and plagues humanity.

For the best attack on Keynes, may I suggest Henry Hazlitt's Failure of the New Economics: Analysis of the Keynesian Fallacies. Of course, you can just pass go and read Ayn Rand: Capitalism, The Unknown Ideal.

Elevating the low state of the culture to an exchange of ideas is a a very good thing.

Back in January, Econstories.tv released a now famous video of a rap battle between FA Hayek and John Maynard Keynes. The video, "Fear the Boom and Bust" set the Austrian vs. Keynesian theories on the economy to a brilliant rap battle, and was a great video to boot. Econstories.tv is following that release up with another sometime in the near future and a live sneak peak was on display at The Economist Buttonwood Gathering. Both videos are below, for those of you that may not have seen the first one.

In Fear the Boom and Bust, John Maynard Keynes and F. A. Hayek, two of the great economists of the 20th century, come back to life to attend an economics conference on the economic crisis. Before the conference begins, and at the insistence of Lord Keynes, they go out for a night on the town and sing about why there's a "boom and bust" cycle in modern economies and good reason to fear it.
