Subsequently, remarks by General Petraeus, echoed in due course by Defence Secretary Gates, suggested on the contrary that American forces would not pull out of Afghanistan until and unless the key condition had been met: that the Afghans themselves were in a position to keep the Taleban at bay. No sooner had the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper declared his principled stand in support of Israel and against anti-Jew bigotry – even at the expense of his country’s seat on the Security Council of the Club of Terror – than he was venomously attacked by... It would appear that on both sides of the pond, the military top brass are firmly pushing US and UK leaders away from their disastrous commitment to pull out of Afghanistan next year. As was pointed out here and elsewhere, the timetabled pledge made by Obama and echoed by the Brits plumbed quite unfathomable depths of idiocy. It effectively told the Taleban that all they had to do was sit out the withdrawal and victory would then be theirs.Jews for Injustice Against Jews
