McCain Condemns North Korean Aggression, Calls on China to Change Kimist Regime's 'Reckless Behavior'

Statement by U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ)
Tuesday, 23 November 2010
Washington, D.C.

"I was deeply saddened and outraged to learn that two South Korean Marines were killed in this latest act of North Korean aggression. My thoughts and prayers today are with the families of the fallen, and I join the Korean people in mourning this tragic loss of life. North Korea's continued belligerence toward the Republic of Korea is unacceptable, and the United States stands ready to assist our Korean ally in defending itself.

"This latest attack is anything but an isolated incident. Together with recent reports that North Korea has assembled a new uranium enrichment facility and its sinking earlier this year of the South Korean corvette, Cheonan, which killed 46 South Korean sailors, today's attack is part of a long and troubling pattern of North Korean aggression, provocation, and total disregard for its own international agreements. Two decades worth of attempts to appease this North Korean regime have failed, and further attempts to do so will meet with the same result. The Chinese government has perhaps the most influence on North Korea, and for the sake of regional security and stability, I urge China to play a more direct and responsible role in changing North Korea's reckless behavior.”

North Korea Likely to Again Threaten Nuclear Attacks on S. Korea, US Troops and Homeland

China Confidential analysts expect that North Korea will soon again threaten to attack South Korea, U.S. forces stationed there, and the United States itself with nuclear weapons.

Given the North's strategic alliance with Iran--and Venezuela--their announced intention to end the U.S.-led world order, and the fact there is no known defense against cargo-ship based ballistic missile attacks on U.S. coastal cities and high-altitude EMP attacks, the repeated threats and vows to cripple the country should be treated with the utmost seriousness.

As shown by the surprise attacks of Pearl Harbor and 9/11, the unthinkable can and sometimes does happen.

DID NORTH KOREA SHORT US STOCKS?

US STOCKS FALL ON NORTH KOREAN NEWS

The North Korean regime depends on criminal activities and Chinese aid for its survival. That the regime would use the ultimate insider information--knowledge that it plans to attack South Korea--to short the market ahead of the war crime is only logical.

OBAMA 'STRONGLY CONDEMNS' DEADLY ATTACK

China Confidential analysts say the North is most likely escalate in order to ruin the long Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend in the United States, which begins this Thursday.

The North is also planning to stage its third nuclear test; but that could take some additional weeks to pull off (with Iranian military and technical observers again in attendance). Perhaps the White House will feel thankful this Thursday that the next nuclear test has yet to occur; but the Christmas-New Year's Eve time span could be quite dangerous.

Iran, Pyongyang's partner in nuclear and missile proliferation, is closely watching U.S. and world community reaction to North Korean aggression. That the world community has not been able to stop this monstrous regime--a Chinese vassal--speaks volumes. In fact, the term itself--world community--is already practically meaningless.

Fact is, the secretive Stalinist/Kimist regime serves China's interests. China will again disappoint; it will defend the North for many reasons, seeing it as both a buffer and a potential sword against the U.S.
