After the devastating expulsion of the residents of Moshav Ganei Tal from Gush Katif -Gaza in 2005 and the destruction of their homes, synagogues, lives and dreams, they are ready to rebuilt. Everything is in place. They only need to raise part of the cost in order return to their dream. Please contribute if you can. Ted Belman

The rebuilding of Moshav Ganei Tal from Gush Katif

Ganei Tal, the moshav that I was with my family and my friends on for 27 years in Gush Katif until Aug 2005, is finally rebuilding next door to Kibbutz Hafetz Haim.

Ganei Tal is re-establishing itself after almost 6 years of temporary quarters. They have remained for the most part together and thus the new site will house most of the former Ganei Tal residents.

I am asking you to look at our website and go through the various sections to see if you can make some financial contribution to their rebuilding. Any questions re tax deductibility can be answered by Moti Sender.

The infrastructure, including leveling of plots, water, electricity, roads and sidewalks, are in place. More than thirty families have already begun construction on their new homes, and every week new families join in. Our plan calls for the construction of over two-hundred homes. As for public buildings, we have begun construction on a members’ club, after the kindergartens and crèches were completed. This week construction began on the sports facilities, and the construction of the synagogue, youth club and parks will proceed according to plan in the coming months.

Today we are in possession of a report and a folder (available also on the link below) which tells the story of the entire project and the personal story behind it. The budget states the sums needed, minus the amount received and kept by the government of Israel and members of the Moshav.

I would like to interest you in the possibility of helping us complete one of the all our important projects. You can always enter the following link in order to see all our projects and the personal stories accompanying them:

In the name of all the members, families and children, all of us at Ganei Tal (with confidence in the Almighty and realizing that we must go on, for the sake of our future, despite the quite advanced age of some of us, to build anew our lives as a single community, the only one from Gush Katif which has stayed together and now is resettling together.

Moti Sender.
