"Deja Vu"
As we contend with the details of the terrorist attack of last night, we ask ourselves, "Doesn't this sound familiar?" And the answer is that it does, because we've been here before, far too many times. Always, the human pain that we confront cuts like a knife.
One of the worst details to emerge this time is the story of Momi Even-Haim, who is with Zaka, the volunteer medic/rescue unit that is routinely charged with gathering the bodies in situations like this. He was on the scene yesterday, when his fellow volunteers -- bewildered -- heard him crying. "That's my wife!" he moaned. Kochava Even-Haim, 37, was one of the victims of the attack, and so in this horrendous fashion her husband learned that she was dead. I believe Kochava was pregnant -- close to term, as it happens. Her ten year old daughter, Hodaya, survives her.
~~~~~~~~~~
Kochava and Avishai Schindler, 24, were passengers in the car that was attacked. He leaves behind a young widow: they had been married only a very short time.
The car belonged to Yitzhak Aimes, 47, and his wife, Talia Aimes, 45. They had six children, the youngest of whom is only 1-1/2. At the funeral today, their daughter, Rut, told them:
“For 19 years you raised me... G-d, thank you for giving me wonderful parents..
“...I promise to look over our family, to keep doing the things that were important to you, and to keep the family together. I'll be there for the little ones, who will grow up with no mother or father.”
~~~~~~~~~~

Everyone in the car was from Beit Hagai. Hamas has taken responsibility for the attack, which took place on route 60, south-east of Hevron, near Kiryat Arba.
~~~~~~~~~~
From here in Israel, there have been vociferous calls for Prime Minister Netanyahu to walk away from the talks and come home. I seriously doubt that anyone really expected him to do this: It would not be Binyamin Netanyahu's style, to say the least. His position is that this attack is an attempt to derail the talks, and that this cannot be permitted to happen. Hillary Clinton observed that the talks are intended to help prevent such occurrences in the future.
This, you understand, is garbage, pure and simple.
If Hamas were a small fringe group, and Fatah were genuinely moderate, it might make a great deal of sense to refuse to cave to Hamas. But as it is, Hamas has huge power -- both in terms of influence in the street and ability to sabotage anything that is decided. Thus it must be asked how a genuine peace can be forged with a Fatah-led PA, when Hamas is opposed to a deal. It must further be asked what sort of ability (and desire) to control Hamas the PA possesses -- this question is at the heart of matters.
What is more, in the months and weeks leading up to the Washington meetings now to take place, we have been making "gestures" to the PA -- taking down roadblocks, loosening up on security control and giving PA security forces more authority, etc. All of this doesn't make things better, it puts innocent Israelis at greater risk.
Back in the time of Oslo, when there were terrorist attacks, Shimon Peres -- an originator and major promoter of Oslo -- referred to the innocent dead as "sacrifices for peace." By this he meant that as we were engaged in the process of pushing peace forward, such attacks, instigated by those opposed to the negotiations, were going to happen. I found that obscene. If innocents were dying in greater numbers as "peace" advanced, then it meant something was very very wrong indeed. What I pray is that by now we've learned that lesson.
~~~~~~~~~~
Just days ago Defense Minister Ehud Barak had a very low key (clandestine?) meeting with Abbas in Amman, and there was talk then about "easing security conditions in the West Bank as a confidence building measure." What has happened now is that it will become more difficult to make such moves: the mood in this country will not allow it easily.
Netanyahu is talking about how it is obvious that security for Israel must be a priority and must be high on the agenda. Perhaps this will at least stiffen his back.
~~~~~~~~~~
When I write about "deja vu," there is another element to this: the response of the PA. According to the PLO news agency WAFA, PA prime minister Salam Fayyad condemned the terrorist attack thusly:
"We condemn this incident, that is contrary to Palestinian interests, and the efforts of the Palestinian leadership to mobilize international support..." (emphasis added)
A typical PA statement, totally devoid of any moral condemnation. And, as Aaron Lerner pointed out when posting this condemnation on IMRA, if the day comes when terrorism is not contrary to "Palestinian interests," the PA will have no compunctions with regard to sanctioning it.
~~~~~~~~~~
Abbas, it should be noted, condemned the attack without this qualification. But what choice had he, about to meet with Obama as he was?
Shortly before the attack, while he was on the Washington-bound plane, Abbas made another statement, as well. Speaking to the editor of the Ma'an news agency, he delivered a message to the "settlers":
"The settlers are sitting on lands that are not theirs. I tell them that this is not your land and you know that...the settlements are illegal and will be removed."
~~~~~~~~~~
We'll see about that.
Plans were already in place in Judea and Samaria to begin building -- on projects for which approval had been secured prior to the freeze -- immediately upon the end of the freeze on September 26. And Netanyahu remains firmly on the record with regard to this, even in the last 24 hours in Washington: He told Clinton that building would resume.
Now, with the terrorist attack, there is a call in some quarters here for construction to begin on September 2 (that's tomorrow) -- the day of the meeting of Netanyahu with Obama and Abbas.
Each group does according to its inclinations, said one Yesha leader: they murder, we build. Such statements fill me with enormous pride. Israeli Jews are strong, and in the face of tragedy rally for good purpose.
Today Rebecca Kowalsky, in her Photography Newsletter, wrote the following:
"The beauty of our people and our land is vast. The beast of terror that resides among us kills in cold blood - the people who want to live in this land. With our shared deep pain and tears, we plant & build. Today, as the funeral procession passed, we lined the roads with our prayers, songs, & unity - never giving up on the dream for the people of Israel in the Land of Israel living by the Torah of Israel. May the mourners be comforted among the mourners of Zion."
Amen v'Amen
(Thank you, Jack G.)
~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, the "talks" are going to go so smashingly well.
Abbas is claiming that they must begin where Olmert left off. We signed nothing however, and there is no legal basis for this demand. Netanyahu is quite unlikely to offer as much as Olmert did, when he included part of Jerusalem and more in the deal that was not accepted.
(My big worry here is what Ehud Barak -- who once DID offer part of Jerusalem and more when he was prime minister -- is saying.)
~~~~~~~~~~
At the same time, Nabil Sha'th, a member of the Palestinian delegation to Washington, has said that there will be no recognition of territorial exchange and of settlement blocs, which are extremely dangerous due to their proximity to Jerusalem, and that the negotiations will stop if settlement construction is renewed.
While Fatah spokesman Ahmad Asaf said that Netanyahu's demand for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state will be rejected out of hand, because the demand is counter to international law and Resolution 194, which set out the Palestinian refugees' rights.
We should pay attention to this, because it was carried by MEMRI, which reports on what is being said in the Arab-language press, in this case, the PA's Al-Ayyam. It is in such Arabic sources that we are most likely to uncover true intentions.
~~~~~~~~~~
Of course the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state is not illegal: The Mandate for Palestinian gave us this land for a Jewish homeland in 1922, and even the UN General Assembly, when proposing (in a non-binding recommendation) the partition of Palestine, intended a Jewish state and an Arab state. As to Resolution 194, it did NOT set out the refugees' "rights," and I would like to return to this.
As to the "settlements" being "dangerous" because they are close to Jerusalem, I would note that this was one reason for building to the east and south of Jerusalem: to serve as a wall of defense.
~~~~~~~~~~
Yossi Beilin, a far left Israeli politician who helped initiate the Oslo process, believes that the talks being sponsored by Obama will fail:
"If the negotiations fail, it will lead to more frustration and deeper skepticism that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be resolved. The security arrangement between the two sides, which is guaranteeing the current state of calm, will be dealt a blow and there will be a danger of violent outbursts.
"If there were even the slightest chance of the talks succeeding, I would say it was worth making one more attempt. However, in this situation, there is almost no such chance...
"Netanyahu wasn’t voted in by the right wing to divide East Jerusalem or to resolve, even symbolically, the problem of Palestinian refugees...
"Abbas can’t implement a peace agreement with Israel because as long as Hamas retains control of Gaza, Gaza won’t be part of the solution..."
While I am most decidedly no fan of Beilin, and disagree strongly with some parts of his analysis in this article, he is on the mark with regard to what he anticipates now. His concerns should be noted because he speaks as someone who would so much want the talks to succeed.
~~~~~~~~~~
However, Beilin's assessment of the dismal chances for success of the talks hasn't stopped him from giving it the old college try. The Geneva Initiative, co-founded by Beilin in 2003 to promote "peace," is behind a series of Israeli TV ads representing the PA leaders as true partners for peace, and suggesting that Israelis have to look at their own positions.
And guess who is sponsoring this? US AID. No surprise, really. A cheap gimmick and outrageous meddling.

Rev Barry Lynn Tries to Smear Walid

From:
Shoebat.com

Friends

Yesterday Rev Barry Lynn who debated Walid on the O'Reilly factor over Imam Rauf the 911 Mosque Imam resorted to smearing Walid Shoebat, attacking his credentials, citing left wing loon bloggers as his sources.

Rev. Lynn who professes to be a Christian minister of the cloth should at least show some respect concerning such unchristian behavior of smearing people who disagree with him. We are in good company as he also smears Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, David Barton and Newt Gingrich amongst others.

Here is his silly article so you can understand the evil of the these people and Walid's response which will follow after.

**************************************************
From Rev Barry Lynn

Jay, (letter published was addressed to Jay Sekulow)

I appeared on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Friday evening to discuss the issue with Walid Shoebat - a man who claims he's a Muslim terrorist turned Christian.

Because of Shoebat's "previous experience" as a terrorist, he is often interviewed by news outlets as "someone uniquely capable of providing insight into the terrorist mindset." He's become quite the favorite of the Right, though since there is no evidence that he ever worked as a terrorist, even some conservatives question his legitimacy.

What's worse, despite having no "credentials" as a Muslim extremist, Shoebat isn't all that articulate, either. On Friday, it took me a while to even figure out what his point was. He read from an article allegedly written by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf in Arabic that Shoebat translated to English. According to Shoebat, Rauf and other Muslims who want to build the Islamic Cultural Center in Lower Manhattan have a plan: they want to build this structure to help take over America and make us live under Sharia law! But he did concede this transformation is expected through peaceful means.

I have to admit, Shoebat's scare tactics are almost comical. The fact is, fewer than one percent of Americans are Muslim. Of those who are Muslim, most just want the same rights that everyone else has to practice their faith under the U.S. Constitution. Does anyone really believe they will succeed in convincing the other 99 percent of people in this country to follow their religious beliefs? And if they try, how does that make them any different from any other religious group that tries to convince people to change their thinking? This is called "evangelism" or "proselytism" or "mission work."

As for imposing a worldview through government means, in the United States, that's the job of the Christian Right. So let's see, conservative groups believe it's okay if fundamentalist Christians push their narrow worldview on all Americans and be granted government approval, but no one else should dare follow their example.

We don't even need to look further than this past weekend to prove that.

As you are probably aware, Fox News Channel personality Glenn Beck was in Washington this weekend, along with Sarah Palin and faux historian David Barton. They held a rally to "reunite" Americans and honor "our heroes, our heritage and our future."

What was plugged as a patriotic and celebratory event turned out to be mainly an evangelistic rally where Beck told the crowd, "Something that is beyond man is happening. America today begins to turn back to God."

Beck went on and on about taking "back" America's Christian heritage. Then, the next day, on national television, he questioned President Barack Obama's religion and accused him of not being a "real" Christian. (The irony is that Beck, a Mormon, has been accused of the same by fundamentalists who think his faith is a "cult.")

It's not surprising that this rally was all about attacking religious liberty in order to push Christian nation propaganda. That's what Beck, Barton and Palin do regularly.

The Religious Right (and Glenn Beck) can weep all they want that building a "mosque at Ground Zero" is a way for Muslims to impose their beliefs on them. However, they should realize that's something fundamentalist Christians do every day. Beck and company even take it a step further and insist government funds and public land be used to propagate their religious beliefs. At least the Islamic Center in Lower Manhattan is being built with private dollars on private land.

This "mosque" debate is not likely to end soon; Glenn Beck is not going to eat locusts in the desert and get off television, and Sarah Palin won't stop fanning the flames of hatred. Beck believes the end of human history is getting closer, perhaps imminent. If the new world gets rid of the hypocrisy over the mosque, and gets Beck and Palin to stop ranting, that might not be a completely bad thing.

**********************************************************

In regards to a letter sent to you by Barry Lynn whom like a typical liberal thinks that we are all dumb and he is “articulate”. In that interview that he is referring to at one point, Lynn was not even able to say the Imam’s name and called him Imam Raul. And instead of addressing the quotes I gave regarding Raul’s (Feisal Abdul Rauf) statements in Arabic, he denied them, although he never read them or heard of them. Well, Rauf’s quote can be found on Al-Ghad Newspaper in Jordan. So the “educated brilliant liberal” can use “google translate” and see for himself to cross examine the suspected witness.

However, since I can articulate the Arabic better then google, I provided exhibit “A”, the quote by Lynn’s defendant Imam of Ground Zero Mosque.

“People asked me right after the 9/11 attack as to why do movements with political agendas carry [Islamic] religious names? Why call it ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ or ‘Hezbollah (Party of Allah)’ or ‘Hamas’ or ‘Islamic Resistance Movement’? I answer them this—that the trend towards Islamic law and justice begins in religious movements, because secularism had failed to deliver what the Muslim wants, which is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

He said “ The only law that the Muslim needs exists already in the Koran and the Hadith.”

From an article titled “Sharing The Essence Of Our Beliefs” by Feisal Abdul Rauf, Al-Ghad Newspaper in Jordan, 5/9/2009

In fact, I have a litany of statements by Rauf (exhibit “B”) that can easily convict Lynn’s client.

Finally, Rauf is on trial, not me. I am not an attorney, but during my service on jury duty I could tell a lousy defense lawyer—he always attacks witnesses instead of refuting the evidence.

Another suggestion for Lynn, if he wants to debate me on my “terror credentials” may I first suggest for him to learn a thing or two on what it means to call oneself “reverend”?

Sincerely

Walid Shoebat

Commission to give new EU supervisor key role in regulating derivatives;

French calls for tighter commodities derivatives oversight "fully shared" by the Commission

Handelsblatt reports on the Commission's proposals for stricter regulation and supervision of the derivatives market, to be published later in the month. According to a draft of the proposal seen by the paper, the Commission plans to take a "central role" in regulating "bilaterally traded derivatives [which] will have to be processed through a central counterparty". The limits and rules of derivatives trading will be determined by the European Commission and ESMA - the new EU supervisor likely to be set up in 2011 - and will be published in a central register, probably located in either Brussels or Paris. The article notes that the new rules for derivatives trading will not just be there for financial institutions, but also for industrial companies, who use derivatives to insure themselves against currency risk, for example. The Commission doesn't want to completely ban derivatives trading, the article notes, but put limits on it.

Meanwhile, in a letter to Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier, the French government yesterday called for tighter oversight of the European commodity derivatives markets. France wants to broker a common position on commodities derivatives within the EU before becoming chair of the G-20, at the end of November, the WSJ reports. "It is essential that Europe commit fully to regulation of these markets and that it do so now" in order to avoid price volatility, the undersigned French ministers said in the letter, suggesting "legislation defining regulation of trading of commodity derivatives and assimilated products," including a new EU commodities regulator.

According to AFP, Barnier said he "shares fully" the concerns in Paris, adding that they would be tackled in the upcoming proposals. Barnier will table the first proposal next Tuesday.

FAZ: Lagarde's remarks on Germany's wage policy are "unsolicited advice"

FAZ reports on new comments made on Berlin's wage policy by French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde, who argued: "I have always said that the recovery of the German economy only pays off for the eurozone when workers benefit from wage increases and this leads to consumption". A comment piece in the paper describes these remarks as "unsolicited advice" and adds: "[Ms. Lagarde] just cannot refrain from it [...] Once again she gives advice on German wage policy with a view to supporting French exports. As if the consumer can be so simply directed from above [...] Excessive wage increases endanger competiveness of companies and therefore employment".

FAZ attacks "EU regulation fury"

An article by Matthias Wissman in FAZ criticises the EU's "regulation fury", arguing that over regulation has led to a "sinking number of EU member states where industry is a genuine concern. In a Union which consists of 27 member states, the weights have shifted. Countries without industrial heartlands are building majorities and gaining influence". He notes this is "especially visible in environmental and climate policy. Central institutions as the Council and the Commission do not show here sufficient understanding of the industrial value added by the automotive, chemical or mechanical engineering industries. Month after month new regulations are being created".

Commissioner for Budget foresees "tough, not to say explosive" discussions on the UK rebate and the CAP

EU Commissioner for Budget Janusz Lewandowski yesterday travelled to Paris to discuss the future of the EU budget with the French Ministers of Agriculture, Budget and European Affairs. Lewandowski is quoted by EurActiv saying that he foresees "tough, not to say explosive" negotiations over the EU's next financial framework (2014-2020) Budget, adding that the UK rebate and the reform of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) will certainly be the two main issues to be discussed.

Meanwhile, Les Echos quotes French Europe Minister Pierre Lellouche saying, after his meeting with Commissioner Lewandowski: "I have told the Commission many times that member states should not be the only ones to make savings. Everyone must make its own efforts". Mr. Lellouche went on to say: "I have told [Commissioner Lewandowski] to pay attention to the number of European agencies, since some of them do not seem to be indispensable and their added value is at least questionable".

Glenn Beck Rally Set Stage for "Christians" to Accept Paganism, and Mormons Say Beck Achieved 200 Year Goal of Getting Evangelicals to Declare That Mormons Are Christians
By Brannon Howse
I tried to warn evangelical leaders about Glenn Beck's rallies but most of them laughed at me. Now Satan is the one laughing at them as "Christians" run head-long into embracing non-Biblical theology and call it "Christian". Greg West in the Mormon LDS Examiner validates my pre-Beck rally warnings to Evangelical leaders on my radio program, columns, e-mails, and phone conversations. I told them that partnering with Beck in a spiritual enterprise would send the message that Mormons are Christians.

Glenn Beck and Jim Wallis Are Both Pushing Social Justice and an Earthly Kingdom
By Brannon Howse
Am I on the only one that watched Glenn Beck's 8-28 rally with red flags going up non-stop? The mixture of Glenn's Mormon theology wrapped in Christian terms, combined with some of the Christian speakers made me very uncomfortable. The patriotic ecumenicalism was very unbiblical. The dominion theology of some Christians, combined with the "Kingdom of God" theology of Mormonism, combined with all faiths uniting and wrapped in the flag reveals that a one-world religion and a one-world leader will be easily accepted even by people calling themselves Christians.

Grave Influence Part Two: The Worldview Revolution That's Leading To Global Governance

In this presentation Brannon reveals how the worldviews of Aldous Huxley, Sigmund Freud, Margaret Sanger, Julius Wellhausen, Betty Friedan and Christopher Columbus Langdell have all helped to lay the foundation for the worldview revolution taking place in America. This revolution involves the globalist declaring war on Christianity, capitalism and national sovereignty. One of living radicals leading this revolution is Maurice Strong who was head of the United Nation's Earth Summit in Rio in 1992 and is one of the leading forces behind global governance and Sustainable Development. Maurice Strong has proclaimed, "Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?" And guess who the globalist and radical environmentalists blame for the world's ecological crisis? You guessed it, Christians and the Biblical worldview. Understand sustainable development and you will understand why the radicals are pushing abortion on demand, active euthanasia through the rationing of healthcare, radical environmentalism, paganism, the elimination of private property, parental authority and religious liberty. Brannon explains how the radicals are using the four E's to push their sustainable development: Education, Economy, Ecology, and Ecumenicalism.

Grave Influence Part Three: An Educational Abduction

In this presentation Brannon reveals how the worldviews of Roger Baldwin, John Dewey, Alfred Kinsey, Benjamin Bloom, B.F. Skinner, and William James are seeking to seize the hearts and minds of America's children. These radicals laid the foundation for outcome-based education, values clarification, situational ethics, promotion of homosexuality, promotion of sexual promiscuity, psychological manipulation, behavior modification, computer tracking of a student's worldview, national youth service, social justice curriculum, collectivism, group think and elimination of parental authority. Brannon's twenty years of research on this topic is evident in this cutting edge presentation that every parent and grandparent must view.

Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse
Brannon Howse welcomes guest Todd Friel of wretchedradio.com to discuss what took place at Glenn Becks 8-27 and 8-28 rallies. We play lots of sound bites of Glenn Beck in his own words. Topic One: Beck starts rally with Mormon theology that Native Americans are God's chosen people. Topic Two: Beck used the phrase "higher self" three times in the interview with Chris Wallace. No one talks that way unless they know exactly what they are saying. What was Beck talking about and how does it connect with his statement last week when he said "I Am That I Am is the most powerful phrase in any language as it is the name of god, never use it in vain; use it to create who you want to be. I am blank." Topic Three: Beck tells Chris Wallace that he is a Mormon and describes the Mormon theology of salvation. Topic Four: Dr. Erwin Lutzer predicted, at our Branson 2010 Worldview Weekend, that the conservative media would turn on Biblical Christians that stand for Biblical truth. That turning began with Glenn Beck himself last Friday when he used the term religious bigots when talking about a CNN article that quoted Brannon Howse and another Christian writer on why they could not spiritually unite with Glenn Beck. That turning continued today with a conservative talk show host that is a frequent face on Fox News Channel who reportedly railed on evangelicals for not uniting with Beck. We play the clip of Dr. Erwin Lutzer and his warning from last April as he explains how this turning on Bible obedient Christians will resemble what happen in another country and at another time. Watch it to greatly increase. Topic Five: Beck has set the stage for "conservatives" to accept a one-world religion and numerous leaders of the religious right pulled the ropes that raised the curtain on this ecumenical stage. Glenn Beck has accomplished what Oprah Winfrey or Shirley McClain could not. I believe that Beck used his conservative veneer and doublespeak to co-opt leaders of the religious right. Beck and these evangelical leaders have sent the message that it is acceptable for millions of "Christians" to embrace humanistic spirituality and paganism for the purpose of social activism and social change. When a Nation Forgets God: Seven Lessons We Must Learn From Nazi Germany by Dr. Erwin Lutzer

The elimination of Christian holidays in the schools, paganism mixed with Christianity, seminaries, churches and Christians rejecting the authority of the Word of God, dividing one's worldview between the secular and the sacred, an economic crisis and the rise of socialism are just a few of the worldview issues facing America. However, another nation in another time confronted all of these issues and more. How the German people and the church in Germany responded to the rise of Hitler and his Nazi party can teach the American church many important lessons for how we should respond to America's worldview revolution now taking place. In this gripping keynote presentation, Dr. Erwin Lutzer reveals seven lessons we must learn from Nazi Germany. These lessons include: 1. When God is separated from government, judgment follows, 2. It's always the economy, 3. That which is legal might also be evil, 4. Propaganda can change a nation, 5. Parents—not the state—are responsible for a child's training, 6. Ordinary heroes can make a difference, 7. We must exalt the cross in the gathering darkness.

Jesus versus Mohammed by Dr. Erwin Lutzer

Dr. Lutzer’s keynote presentation is based on his experience visiting the locations of the seven churches of Revelation. He’ll share the lessons we need to learn from these churches, which experienced significant conflict with Islam. He’ll answer questions such as:

• Does Islam’s victory over these churches prove its superiority over Christianity, as they claim?
• What options do Christians have if they live in a Muslim country?
• What does this conflict mean to the future of Europe and America?

There is no example in history where Muslims have given Christians equal

rights. All Muslims who take the Koran seriously believe that they should work toward having a Caliphate, that is, the Muslim rule of the world. Clearly, our conflict with Islam is here to stay. Because Islam is also an ideology, only the church can confront the ideological/theological issues that are involved in this religion. Passivity is not an option so how should Christians respond is one of many questions Dr. Lutzer answers in this timely presentation.

Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse
Topic One: A Mormon writer for the LDS Examiner declares a 200 year victory because Glenn Beck has succeeded in getting evangelical pastors to declare that Mormons are Christians. Is this not what we warned these pastors about? Did we not tell them this would happen? Topic Two: On his radio program on Monday Glenn Beck said, "As a member of a faith that is the only faith in American history to have an actual governmental document calling for the extermination of people based on religion; we are the only people in the history of America that has a government document from the 1800s where… that made it ok to kill a Mormon because they were Mormon; period. You've never, you've, you don't hear Mormons crying about that; but we understand; we've seen it before." Is this true? On October 27, 1838, the Governor Lillburn W. Boggs of Missouri issued an executive order that in part stated, "I have received…information of the most appalling character, which entirely changes the face of things, and places the Mormons in the attitude of an open and avowed defiance of the laws, and of having made war upon the people of this State." Now this changes this does it not? So it was not "because they were Mormon; period" but because some Mormons in Missouri were in "avowed defiance of the laws" and had "made war upon the people of this State." Is this not the second time in two weeks that Beck has not told his radio or TV audience the full story about an issue important to Mormons? He did not reveal the Mormon relevance behind the Bat Creek Stone and he did not tell his audience that some experts considered it a fraud. Is it not also true that he did not tell his audience the complete story behind the 1838 incident in Missouri? Glenn tells us to "question boldly". Perhaps more people should start to question Glenn's real goals and agenda with the growing talk of his Mormonism. Topic Three: Brannon reads excerpts from the 1912 book entitled, "Mormonism, the Islam of America." Here is just one example of the chilling information Brannon reads from this book by Bruce Kinney. Kinney documents this quote by Mormon leader Brigham Young, "I have many a time in this stand, dared the world to produce as mean devils as we can. We can beat them at anything. We have the greatest and smoothies liars in the world, the cunningest and most adroit thieves, and any other shade of character that you can mention. We can pick our elders in Israel right here who can beat the world at gambling; who can handle the cards; can cut and shuffle them with the smartest rogue on God's footstool…We can beat the world at any game. We can beat them because we have men here that live in the light of the Lord; that have the holy priesthood and hold the keys of the kingdom of God. (News, VI, 91). Commenting on this quote Kinney writes, "It is to be doubted if any more blasphemous statement can be found in the English language than the reasons why Mormons "can beat the world." Freemasonry, Masonic Lodge and the Shriners: Are They Compatible with Biblical Christianity?
By Dr. Ron Carlson

After hearing this presentation, several men in attendance repented of their involvement with the Masonic Lodge, cancelled their membership, and committed to returning home to reveal to their friends and family members the need to also reject the unbiblical teachings of the Masonic Lodge. In this presentation, that includes multiple graphics, Ron reveals the beliefs, doctrines, and rituals of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners from their own authorities. Dr. Carlson has studied the original writings of these groups and through their own words and through Dr. Carlson's study of the Word of God, he reveals why no confessing Christian can take part in the works of darkness of these two groups.
In this fast paced, graphically rich, presentation Dr. Carlson reveals the following: Their historical background, the Blue Lodge and initiation ceremony, the goal of a universal religion, the religion of morality and works, revival of the ancient mystery religions, their view of the Word of God and Jesus Christ, the secret password to Masonic deity, Masonic salvation versus God's truth in the Bible and finally the worldview of the Shriners. Hear the stories of church pastors, deacons and elders who have been members of the lodge and how their church ministry exploded when their leadership repented and rejected the false teaching of the Masonic Lodge. Hear the story of one church that sand blasted the Masonic symbol off their church after hearing this presentation.

Why Bible Prophecy Matters by David Arthur

David Arthur of Precept Ministries International examines 2 Peter 3:1-18 and brings incredible application for today's Christian. So many voices are flooding the Christian space with teachings of prophecy. Charts, scary pictures, proclamations, predictions are running wild in the evangelical world. It has become such a buzz that some people seem to be drunk with “new” insights, definitions and descriptions of what is to come. Prophecy is not about making charts – but rather shaping hearts! Peter says he wants to “stir up our minds” – How, with what, and why? The application that comes loud and clear from the text starts in verse 11 and continually grows stronger through the end of the chapter. David Arthur takes you through an in-depth study using the inductive Bible study approach. David's talk is appropriately non-denominational and stays away from millennial views so regardless of your eschatology; you are certain to gain Biblical insight and instruction from this powerful presentation.

Most of The Church is so Pitifully Weak that a Mormon Can Now Lead God's People. (John McTernan writes about both rallies he attended)
By John McTernan
My heart is very heavy as I write this. I attended two events led by Glen Beck. Friday night, I was at the Kennedy Center for a Glen Beck special. He had a gospel choir singing with a mixed group of speakers. Beck was freely talking about the "LORD." There were speakers from other religions. He was talking about the need for a spiritual revival, who can argue about that! The problem is that Beck is a Mormon with a different Jesus. There were several prayers offered at this event and NONE were made in the name of Jesus. I was deeply grieved after I left.

25 Lessons America Should Have Learned From Nazi Germany Part One (30 min)

Please understand that I'm not sensationalizing when making these observations. First Chronicles 12:32 says men of the tribe of Issachar were called wise because they "understood the times and knew what God would have them to do." To help you make your own assessment of the situation, I've distinguished 26 benchmark issues that clearly define the intensity of the tempest that is upon us. And yes, there are obvious comparisons with the growth of Nazism in Germany. I will point them out unabashedly because it's only reasonable to say so if something that looks similar to an earlier, dangerous historical parallel actually is similar. After all, storm warnings, by nature, foretell bad news.

25 Lessons America Should Have Learned From Nazi Germany Part Two (30 min)

If the church in Germany had truly acted like the Church of Jesus Christ, if Christians had understood and lived out a Biblical worldview, Germany would never have accepted Hitler. I believe he would have been rejected and overthrown within weeks of his true worldview coming to light. Most American church members today are simply reflect the culture instead of correcting and changing it. If we are to quiet the brewing storm, apathy, political correctness, and intellectual laziness must be replaced with a passion for Biblical truth, sound reasoning, logic, and the desire to lead.

Evolution Applied to the Law (30 min)

"Twentieth-century jurisprudence is based on a Darwinian worldview. Life evolves, men evolve, society evolves, and therefore laws and the constitution's meaning evolves and changes with time." This observation by constitutional and legal scholar John Eidsmoe reflects the modern legal formulation known as "legal positivism." legal positivism is simply moral relativism-the belief that there is no such thing as moral absolutes-applied to the law. According to relativists, there is no standard of right or wrong for all people in all places at all times. How is this humanistic thinking robbing of our freedoms and how is it in direct conflict with the original intent of the Founding Fathers and the Word of God?

Have We Anointed An Unworthy Shepherd?
By Jan Markell
Could we say that the church has failed to wake up very many people so, by default, a Mormon -- Glenn Beck -- has made quite a stir and has become an official spiritual leader? He rallied hundreds of thousands last weekend with themes of faith and love of our country. Americans are desperate and fearful of what is coming upon this land so they look to a Mormon for leadership. I am glad his Saturday event was successful for just some of these reasons:

Distinguishing Between Heroes and Pretty Good Friends
I received a fair amount of feedback concerning my last column taking Glenn Beck to task for his soft-endorsement of same-sex marriage. One thoughtful reader didn't appreciate my critique, because Beck, among his other positive attributes, "does point people toward faith in God." His mission, the reader noted, is "to show us the truth about what is and has happened in our country; and what may happen very soon if we don't all stand up." Interestingly, in the interim Beck has hosted a massive rally in Washington, DC where he proclaimed the importance of "faith."

Mixed Messages from Glenn Beck
By Cliff Kincaid
Glenn Beck said that his "Restoring Honor" rally was going to be non-political, but Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., must not have gotten the memo. Speaking from the podium in front of hundreds of thousands of people, she declared that "the procreative foundation of marriage is being threatened," referring to the advancing homosexual agenda; said that the "womb war" must be ended in favor of life for innocent unborn children; and called for prayer to be brought back to the public square and the schools.

Understanding The Times with Jan Markell
Brannon Howse sits in for Jan and talks to Usama Dakdok, born in a Christian home in Egypt but highly knowledgeable about Islam. He reveals what he believes Obama's Islamic agenda in the U.S. is, states Obama is a Muslim, sites examples of how and why, chastises the church for cozying up to Islam, chastises pastors for not telling their people the truth about it, and sends out many other warnings. His ministry is also a gospel outreach to Muslims and he encourages Christians to do same.

The Dominion Mandate and the Christian Reconstruction Movement
By Bob DeWaay
A recent theological movement known as Christian Reconstruction has made a significant impact on American Christianity in the past several decades. It is based on a Reformed, Calvinistic view of theology with some significant, unique twists. The most prominent one is the conviction that the Scripture gives the church a mandate to take dominion over this world socially and culturally before the bodily return of Jesus Christ.1 This teaching is known as the "dominion mandate." Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 9:1-5 and Matthew 28:18-20 are the principal Biblical passages used to prove the validity of this mandate. The key question to be answered is whether these passages teach the dominion mandate as understood by Christian Reconstructionism. The thesis of this article is that these Biblical passages do not teach a social or cultural domination of the world by Christians before the bodily return of Christ. This issue is important because one's understanding of the Great Commission is at stake. This paper will exegetically examine these passages to prove this thesis.
