'Tea party hero Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) this week proposed a blueprint to eliminate $400 billion from the federal budget, which included billions in cuts to veterans' health care and disability benefits.
Her plan would freeze health care funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and slash $4.5 billion in disability benefits to military veterans.'

'Birds may be able to ‘see’ the Earth’s electromagnetic field as they fly through the sky, scientists have suggested.
Many creatures, including all birds, navigate by sensing the direction of the magnetic forces around our planet to guide them. But now researchers have found that different reactions are produced in the eyes of all avian creatures depending on which way the field spins.'

'Thousands of protesters pour into the streets in London and Manchester, again, to shout their anger at the government's policies, with some clashing with police. The National Union of Students (NUS) and Trade Unions Congress (TUC) joined forces in a protest against the increase in university tuition fees, spending and education cuts, and job losses, with a group chanting "Revolution, revolution", British media reported.
British students and trade unionists broke through police lines in central London and were chased by an enhanced number of police forces to the city center where officers later ''kettled'' a group of angry protesters and arrested six people.'

'Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah ensures Mohamed Hosni Mubarak of his support amid nationwide protests against the Egyptian president's three-decade-long rule.
In a Saturday telephone conversation with Mubarak, Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud described the popular movements as "tampering with Egypt's security and stability in the name of freedom of expression,” AFP reported.'

David has been saying in his books and talks for years that 'they' are establishing a 'sub-reality' in the Earth's atmosphere to suppress and mind-manipulate the global population.

This is a key word - distractions. They are placed before us all the time to dilute and divert our focus and to get us caught in the twigs so we lose sight of the forest.
Sometimes people are specifically sent into our lives to distract us as I know from experience, and the idea is to entrap us in emotional trauma and diversion, not least in the court system, to stop us doing what we are here to do. That has happened to me now three times in ten years, twice in the last five, with two of them still ongoing, and this is no coincidence.
But it and they can be overcome if we refuse to let our focus be diverted and we do what we need to do no matter what the diverters and distracters may throw or mendaciously allege. We are here for the greater good even if they are not - and we must never waver from this, no matter what distractions are sent our way. The goal is far too important for that.
The big picture is why we came and the big picture must never leave our sights.

'The revolt in Egypt is an organically driven people-power movement to oust a dictator, restore universal freedoms, and wrestle the country free from the clutches of the US military-industrial complex, but the man now being positioned to form a new government is a pied piper working for the very same globalists and NGO’s that autocrat leader Hosni Mubarak has dutifully served for nearly 30 years.
Enter former top UN official and staunch Mubarak adversary Mohamed ElBaradei, who recently returned to Cairo in a bid to lead the protest movement. ElBaradei serves on the Board of Trustees of the International Crisis Group, who today issued a press release protesting the decision on behalf of Egyptian authorities to place ElBaradei under house arrest.
International Crisis Group is a shadowy NGO (non-governmental organization) that enjoys an annual budget of over $15 million and is bankrolled by the likes of Carnegie, the Ford Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as George Soros’ Open Society Institute. Soros himself serves as a member of the organization’s Executive Committee. In other words, this is a major geopolitical steering group for the global elite.'

'Researchers have discovered that contrary to popular belief half of the ice flows in the Karakoram range of the mountains are actually growing rather than shrinking.
The discovery adds a new twist to the row over whether global warming is causing the world's highest mountain range to lose its ice cover. It further challenges claims made in a 2007 report by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that the glaciers would be gone by 2035.'

The Protest Movement in Egypt: 'Dictators' do not Dictate, They Obey Orders
Saturday, 29 January 2011 10:48
"Dictators" do not dictate, they obey orders. This is true in Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt. Dictators are invariably political puppets. Dictators do not decide. President Hosni Mubarak was a faithful servant of Western economic interests and so was Ben Ali.
The national government is the object of the protest movement. The objective is to unseat the puppet rather than the puppet-master. The slogans in Egypt are "Down with Mubarak, Down with the Regime". No anti-American posters... The overriding and destructive influence of the USA in Egypt and throughout the Middle East remains unheralded.
The foreign powers which operate behind the scenes are shielded from the protest movement.'

'He made the statement as continued clashes between government forces and opposition protesters have left at least 27 people dead and hundreds injured. The protesters want Mubarak to end his 29-year reign.
Expressing his government's support for the embattled Egyptian president, Biden said; "Mubarak has been an ally of ours in a number of things. And he's been very responsible on, relative to geopolitical interest in the region, the Middle East peace efforts; the actions Egypt has taken relative to normalizing relationship with - with Israel.”
Biden went on to say that he “would not refer to him as a dictator." The US government provides more than $1.3 billion in military aid to Mubarak regime annually.'

'A political analyst says the US call on the Egyptian authorities to heed demands for reforms is a charade, as Washington will continue to support President Hosni Mubarak.
In an apparent change of tone, the Obama administration on Friday expressed its deep concerns about the use of violence by Egyptian police and security forces against protesters and urged Egyptian authorities to respect citizens' rights.'

'Chilean judiciary officials have launched the first ever investigation into the death of former democratically elected president Salvador Allende. Beatriz Pedrals, a prosecutor with the appellate court in Santiago, said on Thursday that she had decided to investigate 726 deaths that had never previously been explored, including Allende's, AFP reported.
"What has not been investigated, the courts will investigate ... This will finally establish what happened," Pedrals pointed out.'
