A FEW of my thoughts on VAT. 6.1.2011.

Purchase Tax was introduced in April 1940, a win, win for Governments at that time although food was still exempt and if my memory is correct it was still rationed and not a lot of it about either, all Purchase Tax collected however, remained (to the best of my knowledge) in this Country to help towards recovering financially in those dreadful times this Country was going through and the burden of costs of that full scale war.

(It took us 60 years to pay off the financial debt we owed America in that war-friends indeed and without any binding long lasting Treaties) However, come the foolish heady days in the 1970’s and British Governments decided it was easier for foreigners to govern this Country while they still picked up the glory of winning elections and being paid for a job they could no longer do, they had to ditch Purchase Tax and turn to the EU’s own Resource of Value Added Tax, (VAT). Some ‘value’!

Having been told by the Conservatives in 2010 there would be no increase in VAT, we were then told by our Chancellor, Mr George Osborne that there would be an increase after-all, increasing VAT from 17½% to 20% which would raise £13 Billion a year.

This had to start Jan 2011 as the old VAT circle ended Dec 2010, and even though the people had been promised- re-assured- that there would be no increase in VAT, we were then told it would remain at the higher rate of 20%.

I have seen all the ‘workings out’ re the EU’s own Resources-the gobble-de-goop that not many can understand-and now I ask the simple question, exactly how much in pounds and pence of that money comes to the UK Treasury and how much goes to the European Union, pound for British pound?

The people were given to understand that ALL VAT money collected is for our benefit, but are the people being “screwed” once again and giving yet more money to the European Union for them to waste while our own innocent

British people are paying the high price of losing their jobs and homes through absolutely no fault of their own whilst the EU takes more and more of their money?

If our Chancellor can work out how much he will gain, he obviously knows exactly if all VAT remains in this Country and/or exactly how much goes to the EU in that same year on year he expects to make £13 Bn.

We certainly have to collect it on behalf of the EU, but it really is time to tell the people exactly how it all works in words they can understand. Far better coming from an alleged British Government than from others.

For further “well worth” reading

The EU Budget . UK Standard Note SN/EP/864, 28 Oct 2010

Then this below, the Green Paper on the Future of VAT. 1.12.2010. (Actually, this is all about what the EU REALLY wants-read it-

“In 2008, total VAT receipts collected by the Member States came to around EUR 862 billion”-

page 5.

The EU reckons that “as far as Member States are concerned it guarantees a degree of policy freedom and fiscal sovereignty in administering VAT”.

Well that’s all right then if that is all what we pay our MP’s for doing-as you read on you will realise it is all about having one single market for one single Country. -

You are being invited to “have your say”, make sure you do.

Me? I’m suggesting we go back to our own solid Purchase Tax-where every British penny was of benefit to the people in building up our own Country as we had to do once before.

This time, not just in the actually buildings that were bombed to “glory-be,” but building up the financial and constitutional devastation done by our own politicians that thought foreigners knew what was best for this Country far better than our own could ever do.) Is this meant to be the first “official” EU tax?

The first nudge at the door of full EU Taxes?

Actually I suggest that according to our British Common Law Constitution and the solemn Oaths of Allegiance all MP’s make before they take up their seats in our own British Governments and Houses of Parliament it may well be seen that in paying foreigners to govern this Country is a complete betrayal of both, and therefore treason according to law. Reference: to offences contrary to Praemunire 1392; the 1351 and 1392 Treason Acts; the Act of Supremacy 1559; the 1848 Treason Felony; and Treason at Common Law. In terms of various recent Acts by Parliament to ratify incorporation of the UK into the European Union, the Act of Supremacy is quite unequivocal: “ … no foreign prince, person, prelate, state or potentate hath or ought to have any jurisdiction, power, superiority, pre-eminence or authority ecclesiastical or spiritual within this realm …”.…”. then consider whether it is right to give money to foreigners to do the job they should be doing fully, which is making all our laws according to our laws and Constitution.
