Earlier on Friday I broke the story of the connection between the new Ground Zero mosque imam Abdullah Adhami and the World Trade Center bombing co-conspirator imam Siraj Wahhaj. Abdullah is so enamoured with the terror imam that he volunteered to design the masjid At-Taqwa, where Imam Siraj Wahaj incites his followers. This furtherdemonstrates the true nature and belief system of Imam Rauf and Daisy the Khan, whose reputations have been exposed to the American people. In a triumph for AFDI/SIOA and Americans across this great land, they slithered out of the Ground Zero mosque, opting out of the sunlight to work behind the scenes. We will continue to expose their stealth jihad; they intend to bring in an army of imams to the Ground Zero mosquestrosity in their stead: Rauf and Daisy are out, Rauf and his wife, Daisy Kahn, will no longer be speaking on behalf of the project or [Cordoba Conquest]/ Park51, as they are going to be focusing their attention on supporting the Cordoba Movement, an entirely separate initiative. The center explains their reasoning behind the change like this: Hence the appointment of Adhami. Meanwhile, [CORDOBA Conquest]/Park51adds that other Imams still to be announced will also be joining the board in the near future to coordinate the building's religious services. If it's what they describe as a cultural center (photo right: the architect's rendering with just some of the Pentagons, crosses and Jewish stars symbols highlighted in their highly offensive design) open to everyone, why an army of extreme imams? Here, the new Ground Zero imam Abdullah Adhami refers to World Trade Center unindicted co-conspirator imam Siraj Wahhaj as his "beloved imam." (hat tip Kamala) I feel that I am with you as I feel that I am with every Muslim, and we should exert ourselves—like our beloved imam [Siraj Wahhaj in his message] said, to inspire this affinity for one another, because nothing can be more crucial a message to the ummah at anytime in its history—but particularly now. (here) Above is a screen shot of the new Ground Zero imam Abdullah's website page exalting ("celebrating') the World Trade Center bomber imam Siraj Wahhaj. Abdullah Adhami also says this here: http://www.sakeenah.org/celebrate.shtml "Siraj Wahhaj is the voice of the spirit of Islam in America and its pride." Adhami is the founder & chairman of the org behind that web site: http://www.sakeenah.org/aboutus.shtml He also said: "if only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate." [..] The Islamic Circle of North America has been named in "a list of our organizations and the organizations of our friends" by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is bent on waging "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions." Siraj Wahhaj is an African American convert to Islam. He currently serves as Imam of the Masjid Al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, New York. "…And [Allah] declared 'Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.' ... Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe.... Hear what I'm telling you well. The Americans are not your friends ... The Canadians are not your friends ... The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the Messenger and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion ..." In a 1992 address to an audience of Muslims in New Jersey, Wahhaj expressed his desire to see Muslims seize control of the United States and replace its constitutional government with an Islamic caliphate. “If we were united and strong,” Wahhaj said, “we'd elect our own emir [leader] and give allegiance to him.... [T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.” "[T]his [American] government has already sent in[to] every major [mosque], agent provocateurs. Relentless deception. The press is touting this new Muslim loyalty pledge that was launched by a radical, heretical offshoot of Islam. The Ahmadiyya was founded in India at the end of the nineteenth century by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, who proclaimed himself to be the “Reformer of the age.” In Islam, any attempt to reform or reinterpret is the crime of "hypocrisy" and is punishable by death. Hypocrisy in Islam is more reviled and despised than apostasy (that in and of itself is almost impossible -- and apostasy is also punishable by death). Mirza was a heretic. The Ahmadis have never been accepted by mainline Islam. The Ahmadiyya are a fraction of the ummah (worldwide Muslim community) and are despised by Islam. Members of the Ahmadiyya are the victims of systematic oppression, persecution and slaughter in Muslim countries. In other words, they are perceived to be non-believers or "hypocrites." So while this is a lovely idea, it is meaningless. It does not address jihad and the ideology that inspires Islamic imperialism, antisemitism and hatred for all non-Muslims. In Pakistan they are prohibited by law from self-identifying as Muslims. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad founded the movement on 23 March 1889 and termed it the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at(community), envisioning it to be a revitalisation of Islam. Ahmadiyya views on certain beliefs in Islam have been controversial to mainstream Muslims since the movement’s birth. Many mainstream Muslims do not consider Ahmadis to be Muslims, citing in particular the Ahmadiyya viewpoint on the death and return of Jesus (see Jesus in Islam), the Ahmadiyya concept of Jihad as peaceful and the community’s view of the finality of prophethood with particular reference to the interpretation of Qur'an 33:40. In several Islamic countries today Ahmadis have been marginalised by the majority religious community; severe persecution and often systematic oppression have led many Ahmadis to emigrate and settle elsewhere.[7][8] For the Ahmadiyyas to be presenting themselves as the voice of Islam is America (or anywhere) is deceiving. They do not speak for the ummah. The koranic text they cite below was abrogated (superseded) by later verses. They know that, but know that most Westerners don't. Why We Launched a 'Muslims for Loyalty' Campaign This Week In the United States By Naseem Mahdi FOX News Our country faces terrorism at home and abroad. While terrorism has no religion, American-Muslims must accept that negative forces are trying to influence American-Muslim youth to become terrorists, and, sadly, they are having some success. The Holy Koran (55:61) teaches us that the recompense of goodness is nothing but goodness. Therefore, Muslims living in this great land, enjoying all its freedoms, liberties and benefits must take concrete actions to strengthen and foster peace in, and loyalty to, our homeland - America. Islam teaches and requires that Muslims live as loyal citizens of the countries where they reside. The Holy Koran [4:60] declares: "O ye who believe! Obey God, and obey His Messenger and those who are in authority among you." Prophet Muhammad taught: Love of one’s country of residence is part of faith. Let it be known: Muslims who rebel against the rule of law invite the wrath of God, not His pleasure. The Holy Book of Islam, the Holy Quran (2:12-16), states that inciting rebellion, sowing sedition and creating disorder is a means of damnation, not salvation. In this spirit, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA -- the oldest American-Islamic organization in history -- launched its new “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign this week. We have printed several hundred thousand "Muslims for Loyalty" fliers. We have purchased ad space on buses and the metro in the U.S. capital to convey the same message to our fellow Americans. This is why on Tuesday hundreds of our members braved the bitter cold and handed out 100,000 "Muslims for Loyalty to the USA" fliers at 16 metro stations. This brochure firmly and clearly states that American-Muslims must be loyal to their homeland – the United States of America. Our “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign intends to peacefully but forcefully convey to Americans that all such messages which encourage disloyalty to, or terrorism against, America contradict the teachings of Islam, the Holy Koran and Prophet Mohamed. America has been asking for the proliferation of this message. This message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community can defeat those extremist elements from within Islam who wish to exploit Islam for their own nefarious political ends. Naseem Mahdi is the National Vice President and Missionary Incharge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA - the oldest Muslim Organization in the US. Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are Muslims who believe in the Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani. The official website of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is www.alislam.org. Earlier today a "new imam" (same as the old imam, essentially) was named to the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. Is there no one in islamic leadership who is not tied to jihad or terror? Or is it that Rauf wants these horrible connections to the terror attacks at Ground Zero? If this guy is "modern" or a "moderate" or a "reformer," then I am the Pope. Many of the links to his sermons have been taken down. Hmmmmm, I wonder why. Family & Society Today Here is some background on the new Ground Zero imam Abdullah Adhami (this from "Modern Religion"). Born in Georgetown, Washington D.C., he received his Bachelors of Architecture from Pratt University in New York City. He voluntarily undertook to design the new Masjid At-Taqwa where Imam Siraj Wahaj is the Imam. Shaykh Abdullah taught at the Al-Ghazali full-time Islamic school in New Jersey for one year. He began his study with scholars in Damascus at the tender age of eight, obtaining ijazahs from great scholars of our time such as Shaykh 'Abd Al-Razzaq Al-Halabi, Shaykh 'Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaguri, Shaykh Yusuf 'Arar, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Al-Yaqoubi, and numerous others. He has lectured widely in the United States, and taught subjects and texts such as Shafi'i fiqh, al-Shama'il: The Sublime Qualities of our Beloved Messenger (salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam), Manazil Al-Sa'irin, Kitab Al-Sidq, and Maqasid Al-Sawm. His current manuscript, an exploration into the implications of gender-related language in the texts of Shari'ah, was based on a seminar that he taught entitled, "Quranic Eloquence: Toward a Higher Gender Adab". Shaykh Abdullah currently resides in Damascus, Syria, with his wife and son. I will be vetting all these "scholars," but Siraj Wahhaj is well known to infidels and all freedom loving people. He studied in Syria. Who better to know exactly what Abudullah was taught than Wafa Sultan, who describes growing up Islam in Syria in her seminal and breathtaking book,"A God who Hates"? Hardcore. He also said: "if only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate." [..] The Islamic Circle of North America has been named in "a list of our organizations and the organizations of our friends" by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is bent on waging "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions." Wahhaj is a well known speaker on Islamic issues, traveling the U.S. and abroad to lecture on the virtues of his faith. For his talks, Wahhaj typically receives an honorarium of $1,000 to $2,000. "People like Wahhaj went from Nation of Islam to Saudi Wahhabism, and they preach those extreme views to their followers.... Wahhabism is hostile to all 'nonbelievers,' to secular society, certainly to American society, and it can fit with black radical thought. Despite denouncing Islamic terrorism on a number of occasions, Wahhaj has expressed a desire to remain neutral about Osama bin Laden and his complicity in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He has said: 'I'm just not so sure I want to be one of the ones who say, Yeah, he did it. He's a horrible man.'" The Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque has named a new imam, confirming what we already know. Rauf was extreme, we exposed him, so they move on to a new mosque mask without ever addressing the real concerns. This is part of the ongoing deception. They keep morphing, changing, obfuscating to distract, without touching the real problem, the terror and pain of a mega mosque at Ground Zero. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it still ain't kosher. Imam Abdullah Adhami as its mosque-mask -- the new distraction. But it doesn't change a thing. Don't change the imam, change the location. I don't know if you heard, but radical Rauf has taken to calling the Ground Zero mosque the "Muslim YMCA." Who does he think he is kidding? There is no church at the YMCA. If that were true, they would have withdrawn the mosque from the plans, but the mosque is the plan, so that is never going to happen. That's the one thing that never changes. Mohammad said, "war is deceit." Indeed. New Imam For Ground Zero Islamic Center DAVID B. CARUSO, Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) — The organization planning to build an Islamic community center near the World Trade Center says the imam who has been the public face of the project will be playing a reduced role. The nonprofit group Park51 announced Friday that it had named a new imam to lead religious programing. It says co-founder Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf will focus on other initiatives. Rauf announced late this fall that he is starting a global movement that would fight extremism and promote better relations between people of different faiths. He is starting a national speaking tour Saturday in Detroit. CORDOBA HOUSE/Park51 said Rauf would remain on the Islamic center's board. It says the group needed someone who could be more focused on local matters. The group named New York City imam Abdullah Adhami as its new senior adviser. UPDATE: Daisy is out, too. It's a banner day in the Atlasphere: Rauf and his wife, Daisy Kahn, will no longer be speaking on behalf of the project or Park51 as they are going to be focusing their attention on supporting the Cordoba Movement, an entirely separate initiative. I have been exposing the enemy within the upper echelon of the Republican ranks, namely Grover Norquist and his cell of stealth jihadists, including Suhail Khan, who was recently outted in a video, saying, “The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life,” said an impassioned Khan, who wiped away tears throughout his speech. “This must be the case when we are fighting.” (Below photo: Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan.) I lost my Newsmax gig because I crossed the Grover. He has been undermining the right since the nineties. Enough. (March 2010) CONSERVATIVES MUST SHUN NORQUIST, NOT ANN COULTER (March 2007) The True ‘Cost’ of Defeat in Afghanistan Max Boot, Commentary If you want any further evidence of conservative support for the war effort in Afghanistan, look no further than Grover Norquist’s laughable effort to organize a “center-right” coalition against the war. Apparently, Grover wants to pull out of Afghanistan as a money-saving measure — a line of argument, which if followed to its natural conclusion, should also have led us to pull out of World War II while Hitler or Tojo were still in power or to end the Civil War while Jefferson Davis still ruled the South. Think of all the millions we could have saved by ending wars prematurely — quite a bonanza, especially if you ignore the rather substantial costs of defeat. Norquist seems quite enamored of Ronald Reagan’s pullout from Lebanon after the suicide car-bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983. Perhaps he is not aware that this incident was routinely cited — along with the U.S. pullout from Somalia in 1993 — by Osama bin Laden in the 1990s to justify his belief that the U.S. was a “weak horse” that could be attacked with impunity. Note to Grover: Even the great Ronald Reagan was not infallible. With arguments like that, it is no surprise that Norquist has attracted to his cause such conservative luminaries as … Steve Clemons? Jim Pinkerton? Charlie Kupchan? If those are genuine representatives of the conservative movement, then I’m Donald Duck. Somehow I think the conservative base is pretty secure for the war effort, because it understands what Grover does not: that we are locked in an existential struggle against Islamist extremists and that defeat in Afghanistan would have severe consequences for us that make the cost of winning the war seem cheap by comparison. It’s the lack of liberal support for the war effort that we have to worry about. Wrong. What Max Boot does not understand is that Grover does understand, only too well. Boot has missed the real story behind this subterfuge. In the past, a number of readers have questioned my choice of venue for the historical counter-jihad events I have held in the past three years -- bringing Geert Wilders to CPAC, a jihad conference featuring Wafa Sultan, Steve Coughlin (Pentagon), Simon Deng (Sudan), Anders Gravers (SIOE, Denmark), Elizabeth Sabaditch-Wolff (before anyone had ever heard of her), and Allen West (before his victorious election). This year I am bringing the Ground Zero mosque to CPAC and premiering the new groundbreaking AFDI/SIOA film, The Ground Zero Mosque: The Second Wave of the 911 Attacks. Many people feel, and rightly so, that the American Conservative Union – the political Right’s largest and most influential grassroots umbrella organization and sponsor of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) -- has abandoned conservative principles and morphed into some fleshy, ambiguous, compromised political machine doling out money and favors for cronies, when it is doing anything at all. I agree. Wholeheartedly. It has been co-opted. Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan have infiltrated CPAC at the senior level. The Muslim Brotherhood controls the information and dissemination of everything you see, hear, and read on Islam, unless you do your own research, your own study, and frequent blogs like mine and Spencer's. Everything is Muslim Brotherhood propaganda. The Muslim Brotherhood has done at this at the senior level of every government agency. And the media is in lockstep as well. "The strategy of power broker Grover Norquist [is] his wicked project to dress Islamists up as patriotic Republicans so they can infiltrate the government." Grover Norquist hoped to...harness votes from the country's growing Muslim population by creating the Islamic Free Market Institute in 1998. He did so with significant financial help from Abdurahman Alamoudi, then one of America's most influential Muslim activists and head of the American Muslim Council. Today, Alamoudi is serving a 23-year prison sentence after admitting to illegal transactions with Libya and being part of a plot to assassinate the then-Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Alamoudi was also found to be a long time secret financial courier for Al Qaeda while at the same time being routinely invited to the Clinton White House for receptions and meetings. (IPT) But. The ten thousand great Americans who will be attending CPAC are not sharia compliant. The patriots attending CPAC are not Islamists and are not willing to hand America over to sharia (Islamic) law. We need to reach them. We need to educate them. They know they are being deceived. They look around their towns and cities and see the unremitting capitulation to Islamic supremacism. Arm them with knowledge, I say, and what better way then to bring the leading authorities across the world to speak honestly and forthrightly directly to the American people? This must be done if we are to have any shot at saving America. When I brought Geert Wilders to CPAC, I fought fiercely for months trying to get Wilders on the official CPAC roster. They should have been clamoring to have him. He represents the fight for the idea of American freedom, free speech. After many a discussion, I was advised that David Keene would be giving the Courage Under Fire Award to Geert Wilders for his fight for free speech (the very bedrock of conservative principles, I chided and reminded Keene). Within 24 hours of the decision to give Wilders the Charlton Heston Courage under fire award, it was withdrawn. Heston would not have been pleased. Keene, head of the ACU and also of CPAC, canceled the decision to honor Wilders because of an article in Newsweek in which David Horowitz and Robert Spencer criticized CPAC for its Grover Norquist-mandated refusal to deal with the jihad or Islamic supremacism in any meaningful or effective way. Paul Jacob, President of Citizens in Charge Foundation, was instead given the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award. Who? Imagine battling with the American Conservative Union to have a very likley future Prime Minister of the Netherlands, who is being persecuted for speaking the truth, address an audience at CPAC. Spencer wrote of it a year later here: At the time I was interviewed by Newsweek, Pamela Geller was working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure a speaking slot for Geert Wilders at CPAC, but CPAC was dragging its feet. With that in mind, I told Newsweek that people were afraid to deal with this issue, and added at Jihad Watch that "Keene's, or someone's, priorities are seriously out of order. Wilders should be front and center at CPAC, and the defense of free speech its central theme." I didn't know it at the time, but after I was interviewed by Newsweek and before their article appeared, Keene decided to honor Wilders at CPAC and give him an award. But when the Newsweek piece hit, with quotes from me as well as David Horowitz saying, "How is it possible that a conservative conference does not have a single panel on the threat from radical Islam?," Keene was furious. He was so furious that he canceled the award for Wilders and refused to let him speak at all, saying he wasn't going to look as if he was being pushed around by Robert Spencer. Suddenly a few remarks in Newsweek by David Horowitz and me were controlling David Keene's world. Principles? Free speech? Jihad and Islamization? Pah. For Keene, it was just a schoolyard fight, and he was behaving like a schoolyard bully. And now we hear that Norquist is battling behind the scenes to stop the fight against the jihad in Afghanistan. Above photo:Grover Norquist and "Palestinian" wife Samah (Note his alleged beard. Is he wearing lipstick?) CPAC can be saved from the infiltrators. There is so much we could get done with this organization. Educating the base. We must take CPAC back. The bus campaign caused a great deal of consternation in the subjugated media both here and abroad -- as if those leaving Islam did not have the same basic human right to freedom as anyone else. That was the premise. Opposition to these bus ads was the equivalent of supporting the Islamic death penalty for apostasy (conversion out of Islam). It was providing a service to those who needed help. Are they not deserving of a free life? By Gd, what shot do these people have if the whole of the world has caved to Islamic supremacism? Where can they go? The media sought to enforce the Islamic law (the sharia), death for apostasy, by forcing those in danger to stay in fatal environments, much the way they sought to return Rifqa Bary, the Ohio teen who converted out of Islam, to the family that threatened to kill her. The UK actually has a Forced Marriage Act, which permits anyone to request that courts block a wedding ceremony if it is believed that it is forced or involves one of the spouses-to-be being taken across national borders for the purposes of marriage. That's how bad it is. Honor killings have spiked in the UK and the gender apartheid continues unabated. Late last year I wrote of the Islamic coup on Lebanon and predicted collapse when Ahmadinejad went to the Southern Lebanese border to mark his territory like a dog or other canine scent-marks by urination and defecation. Ahmadinejad did not just go to the Lebanon/Israeli border solely to spew his nazi-like anti-American, antisemitic annihilationist invective. Clearly, there is more to it. Something evil is afoot, and the Arab Press is predicting that something is going to happen. The free world is without a leader. Obama is silly and dangerous, incapable or unwilling to take a brave, principled stand in defense of freedom and our allies. The forces of evil smell blood, and they are going in for the kill. A world without America's forceful presence is descending into chaos and havoc. It seems like a lifetime ago (not five short years) when Bush had Syria on the ropes and there were landmark demonstrations for freedom in Lebanon, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan. Then UN Ambassador John Bolton was pressing forward with the UN's investigation of Syria's involvement in the "potential linkages" of the murder of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri and 14 other assassinations of anti-Syrian Lebanese figures. The 14 cases included the murder of anti-Syrian newspaper boss and MP Gibran Tueni, which Lebanese lawmakers blamed on Damascus. The removal of Syria's stranglehold on Lebanon led to the Cedar revolution -- Lebanon had a shot at emerging from under the boot of Iranian/Syrian proxy of Hezb'allah's jihad. Looking back on all those 2005 Atlas posts, they are all infused with the one thing the Obama adminstration is completely devoid of -- conviction, resolve and hope. Oh, the irony. Envy is regarded by most people as a petty, superficial emotion and, therefore, it serves as a semihuman cover for so inhuman an emotion that those who feel it seldom dare admit it even to themselves . . . . That emotion is: hatred of the good for being the good. This hatred is not resentment against some prescribed view of the good with which one does not agree . . . . Hatred of the good for being the good means hatred of that which one regards as good by one’s own (conscious or subconscious) judgment. It means hatred of a person for possessing a value or virtue one regards as desirable. Here's the thing. The mission by objective of the haters, the party of destruction, is to ruin the best, the brightest, the good. The left has, day after day, month after month, year after year, decade after decade, trafficked only in ruin and destruction, focusing on the most effective leaders on the right. Says who? Those who wish to destroy her. We, on the right, must learn from our enemies. Not their evil, but in their strategy. They stand by their people no matter how egregious their crime -- the Barney Franks, Barney Franks, Bill Clintons, blah blah blah. We, on the other hand, cut and run when the lie about whomever is round the world, before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. I cringe when I hear conservatives and Republicans say Sarah Palin is not electable. Why? Because evildoers said so? Who cares? That's what they want you to think. How wonderful it would be to have a clear thinking, rational, proud patriot for president. Who else could possibly restore America back to her standing and respect in the world? I think Palin would be spectacular, one of the greats. The left was waiting for such an atrocity. It didn't matter who, what, where, when -- fill in the blanks. The ghouls were waiting for Arizona to smear the right and those that best represent us. As for Sarah Palin not being electable -- by whom? The left? So what? Who cares? They are never going to vote for her anyway (or for any decent, qualified American). We were never getting that vote. We need to communicate to our base, and to people capable of critical thinking. We need to communicate our ideas to each other outside the media and the cable networks. They have failed us, failed America. We need to be proactive, craft our message and get it out there. Responding to defamation is reactive. It eats up our time, energy, resources.Enough. We cannot throw away our best people after they have been gangraped by our enemies. Would you do that with people you love? Would you abandon a family member who had been attacked by jealous inferiors? Of course not. You would fight back with every breath in your body. That is what is being demanded of you now. Your family is this nation, you must defend it like a .... mama grizzly. They do not want to own your fortune, they want you to lose it; they do not want to succeed, they want you to fail; they do not want to live, they want you to die; they desire nothing, they hate existence, and they keep running, each trying not to learn that the object of his hatred is himself . . . . They are the essence of evil, they, those anti-living objects who seek, by devouring the world, to fill the selfless zero of their soul. It is not your wealth that they’re after. Theirs is a conspiracy against the mind, which means: against life and man. (Ayn Rand) Evil is made possible by the sanction you give it. Withdraw your sanction. Now. The debased and the soulless are not our masters. They do not tell us what to think and who to follow or who we can like or dislike or who we can be friends with. I am going to back Sarah Palin for 2012 and John Bolton. I will not back soft, fickle Republicans like Gingrich or Pawlenty or anybody else who does not have the courage of his or her convictions. I'd rather lose with the right guy than win with the wrong one. Today, Sarah Palin wrote this note on her Facebook page in response to the leftist lynching of good and decent Americans. They are targeting our proxy, Palin herself: America's Enduring Strength Sarah Palin, Facebook Please click here to view the video of this statement. Like millions of Americans I learned of the tragic events in Arizona on Saturday, and my heart broke for the innocent victims. No words can fill the hole left by the death of an innocent, but we do mourn for the victims’ families as we express our sympathy. I agree with the sentiments shared yesterday at the beautiful Catholic mass held in honor of the victims. The mass will hopefully help begin a healing process for the families touched by this tragedy and for our country. Our exceptional nation, so vibrant with ideas and the passionate exchange and debate of ideas, is a light to the rest of the world. Congresswoman Giffords and her constituents were exercising their right to exchange ideas that day, to celebrate our Republic’s core values and peacefully assemble to petition our government. It’s inexcusable and incomprehensible why a single evil man took the lives of peaceful citizens that day. There is a bittersweet irony that the strength of the American spirit shines brightest in times of tragedy. We saw that in Arizona. We saw the tenacity of those clinging to life, the compassion of those who kept the victims alive, and the heroism of those who overpowered a deranged gunman. Like many, I’ve spent the past few days reflecting on what happened and praying for guidance. After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event. President Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election. The last election was all about taking responsibility for our country’s future. President Obama and I may not agree on everything, but I know he would join me in affirming the health of our democratic process. Two years ago his party was victorious. Last November, the other party won. In both elections the will of the American people was heard, and the peaceful transition of power proved yet again the enduring strength of our Republic. Vigorous and spirited public debates during elections are among our most cherished traditions. And after the election, we shake hands and get back to work, and often both sides find common ground back in D.C. and elsewhere. If you don’t like a person’s vision for the country, you’re free to debate that vision. If you don’t like their ideas, you’re free to propose better ideas. But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible. There are those who claim political rhetoric is to blame for the despicable act of this deranged, apparently apolitical criminal. And they claim political debate has somehow gotten more heated just recently. But when was it less heated? Back in those “calm days” when political figures literally settled their differences with dueling pistols? In an ideal world all discourse would be civil and all disagreements cordial. But our Founding Fathers knew they weren’t designing a system for perfect men and women. If men and women were angels, there would be no need for government. Our Founders’ genius was to design a system that helped settle the inevitable conflicts caused by our imperfect passions in civil ways. So, we must condemn violence if our Republic is to endure. As I said while campaigning for others last March in Arizona during a very heated primary race, “We know violence isn’t the answer. When we ‘take up our arms’, we’re talking about our vote.” Yes, our debates are full of passion, but we settle our political differences respectfully at the ballot box – as we did just two months ago, and as our Republic enables us to do again in the next election, and the next. That’s who we are as Americans and how we were meant to be. Public discourse and debate isn’t a sign of crisis, but of our enduring strength. It is part of why America is exceptional. No one should be deterred from speaking up and speaking out in peaceful dissent, and we certainly must not be deterred by those who embrace evil and call it good. And we will not be stopped from celebrating the greatness of our country and our foundational freedoms by those who mock its greatness by being intolerant of differing opinion and seeking to muzzle dissent with shrill cries of imagined insults. Just days before she was shot, Congresswoman Giffords read the First Amendment on the floor of the House. It was a beautiful moment and more than simply “symbolic,” as some claim, to have the Constitution read by our Congress. I am confident she knew that reading our sacred charter of liberty was more than just “symbolic.” But less than a week after Congresswoman Giffords reaffirmed our protected freedoms, another member of Congress announced that he would propose a law that would criminalize speech he found offensive. It is in the hour when our values are challenged that we must remain resolved to protect those values. Recall how the events of 9-11 challenged our values and we had to fight the tendency to trade our freedoms for perceived security. And so it is today. Let us honor those precious lives cut short in Tucson by praying for them and their families and by cherishing their memories. Let us pray for the full recovery of the wounded. And let us pray for our country. In times like this we need God’s guidance and the peace He provides. We need strength to not let the random acts of a criminal turn us against ourselves, or weaken our solid foundation, or provide a pretext to stifle debate. America must be stronger than the evil we saw displayed last week. We are better than the mindless finger-pointing we endured in the wake of the tragedy. We will come out of this stronger and more united in our desire to peacefully engage in the great debates of our time, to respectfully embrace our differences in a positive manner, and to unite in the knowledge that, though our ideas may be different, we must all strive for a better future for our country. May God bless America. - Sarah Palin Posted by Pamela Geller on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 01:51 PM in Women for Sarah Palin | Permalink | Comments (82) ShareThis THANK YOU! A blessing on your heads. Last week, it was reported that honor killer Faleh Hassan Almaleki was negotiating a plea deal in the honor killing of his daughter, Noor. Her "crime?" She was too "western," too Americanized -- more here. The deal is off. Faleh Hassan Almaleki should be executed. Instead, they were talking a plea deal. They were bowing to Islamic supremacism. Shruggers responded immediately. You wrote a letter for Noor (here). Hundreds (maybe thousands) called, wrote, emailed and righted this horrible wrong. We must defend against gender apartheid in the strongest possible terms: Faleh Hassan Almaleki to stand trial in daughter's death YAHOO (hat tip George M) He should get the death penalty. Hassan Almaleki cried "racism" when capital punishment was being considered. His lawyer said at the time: "An open process provides some level of assurance that there is no appearance that a Christian is seeking to execute a Muslim for racial, political, religious or cultural beliefs," Little wrote, referring to County Attorney Andrew Thomas' Christian faith. So a Muslim father can murder his daughter in cold blood because she wasn't Muslim enough, but justice cannot be served because that would be "racism" and "Christian" "islamophobia." We can't seek the death penalty "for racial, political, religious or cultural beliefs," but he can kill his daughter for his religious and political (sharia) beliefs. Prosecutors and attorneys for Faleh Hassan Almaleki had been in discussions about a plea deal for weeks ahead of a scheduled Jan. 18 trial date. Barring a last-minute deal that appears unlikely, Maricopa CountySuperior Court Judge Roland Steinle said at a hearing Tuesday that he would call two large groups of potential jurors next week. Steinle noted a large pool was needed because of extensive pretrial publicity and the need for jurors to be available to serve on a lengthy case. Police allege Almaleki slammed his Jeep into his 20-year-old daughter, Noor Almaleki, and her boyfriend's mother in October 2009 in the parking lot of a state Department of Economic Security office in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria. The mother lived, but Noor was in a coma for two weeks before she died from her injuries. Almaleki has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of a serious injury accident. His public defender and the prosecutor declined to comment after Tuesday's brief hearing. Almaleki, who turned 50 on Jan. 1, remains in custody. He attended the hearing in shackles in the jury box, wearing a back brace over his faded black and white striped county jail garb and pink undershirt. After the hearing ended, Almaleki interrupted through an interpreter, saying "I don't know what's going on so far." Steinle allowed him to confer with his lawyers for a few minutes, then cut off their discussion to move on to the next case. "You can discuss with him over the next few days what the rules of criminal procedure are in reference to a lawyer appearing," Steinle said. The case caused nationwide outrage after prosecutors deemed it an "honor killing" because Almaleki had said his daughter dishonored his family and became too Westernized. Faleh Almaleki moved his family from Iraq to the Phoenix suburb of Glendale in the mid-1990s. He wanted Noor to adhere to Iraqi traditions, but she wanted to be a typical American girl, according to court records and her close friends. When she was 17, she refused to enter an arranged marriage in Iraq, enraging her father, according to a court document filed by prosecutors. She moved into her own apartment at 19 and began working at a fast-food restaurant but quit after her parents kept showing up at her work, insisting she return home, the document said. Later in 2009, she moved in with her boyfriend and his parents, Reikan and Amal Khalaf, after saying her parents had hit her. The court document said Faleh Almaleki regularly harassed his daughter and the Khalafs, once telling Reikan Khalaf that if his daughter didn't move out of their home, "something bad was going to happen." Noor Almaleki spotted her father on Oct. 20, 2009, when she and Amal Khalaf visited a Department of Economic Security office. When the two women left the office, Faleh Almaleki hit them with his Jeep before fleeing the country, prosecutors said. Law enforcement caught up with him in London and returned him to Phoenix. US Attorney Mary Jo White even named Wahhaj one of 170 unindicted co-conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the thwarted plan to blow up a slew of buildings.
"In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing, and the only thing that will remain will be Islam," Wahhaj said in one of his sermons.
Wahhaj, imam of Al-Taqwa mosque, is a former member of the Nation of Islam and was the first Muslim to give an invocation at the House of Representatives.
Formal charges were never filed against him by White, although he did serve as a character witness for the defense in the trial of Omar Abdel-Rahman, "the blind sheik" who is now serving a life sentence for his role in plotting the 1993 WTC bombings.
Born as Jeffrey Kearse, Wahhaj was raised as a Baptist in New York City. He attended Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada, where he studied math education. His interest in Islam, he says, arose shortly after the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., which prompted Wahhaj to go "looking for more militancy."
In the course of that search, Wahhaj became involved with the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan, under whose influence he converted to Islam in 1969. Aligning himself with Islam's Sunni sect, Wahhaj studied at Umm al-Qura University in Mecca in 1978.
In 1981 Wahhaj founded his own mosque, the aforementioned Masjid Al-Taqwa, which initially was based in a friend's Brooklyn apartment (with a membership of fewer than 25 people). Today, however, Wahhaj’s mosque is recognized by Muslims all around the world.
In 1991 Wahhaj, who had managed to cultivate an image as a moderate in the eyes of the American public, became the first Muslim ever to recite an opening prayer before a meeting of the U.S. House of Representatives.
That same year, however, Wahhaj, in a speech before the Islamic Association of North Texas, called Operation Desert Storm (the U.S.-led military campaign to drive Saddam Hussein's invading forces out of Kuwait) "one of the most diabolical plots ever in the annals of history." Moreover, he predicted that America would fall unless it "accepts the Islamic agenda."
In September 1991 Wahhaj stated the following:
In 1995 Wahhaj was named by U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White as a possible co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Wahhaj angrily objected to that designation, noting in his defense that he had eaten "dinner with Secretary of State [Madeline] Albright -- after the list" of co-conspirators had been released.
In the summer of 1999, Wahhaj testified as a character witness for convicted terror mastermind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman. Wahhaj stated, on the record, that he considered it an honor to have had an opportunity to host Abdel-Rahman at his mosque, describing the latter as a “respected scholar ... bold ... [and] a strong preacher of Islam.”
In February 2001 Wahhaj, along with Ihsan Bagby, founded the Muslim Alliance of North America, a predominantly black organization representing Muslims indigenous to the United States.
In August and September of 2001, just prior to the 9/11 attacks, Wahhaj was a guest speaker a "Jihad Camp" in Pennsylvania. The camp was organized by Safet Abid Catovic, a leader of the Benevolence International Foundation, a "charity" that would be shut down in November 2002 on charges that it had provided funding for al Qaeda.
In the wake of 9/11, Wahhaj spoke at a convention in Baltimore sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America.
On October 20, 2001, Wahhaj told a meeting of Muslim activists in Houston:Friday, January 14, 2011

On October 20, 2001, Wahhaj told a meeting of Muslim activists in Houston:
In June 2004 Wahhaj spoke at an event titled “Next Generation Muslims—Education & Survival,” which was organized by theUniversal Heritage Foundation, a Florida-based outpost of Islamism and anti-Semitism.
Wahhaj was once an Advisory Board member for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). On June 6, 2006, CAIR's Ohio affiliate held a large fundraiser in honor of Wahhaj. Following the event, CAIR-Ohio issued a press releaseheralding the more than $100,000 that Wahhaj had helped raise that evening for the organization's “civil liberties work.”
In August 2006 Wahhaj was a guest speaker at an event organized by Young Muslims, where he shared the stage with Mazen Mokhtarm, Youth Director for the Muslim American Society's New Jersey chapter. Mokhtarm has promoted the official website of Hamas, a group which he has called "heroic."
Wahhaj today is affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America, and he serves as a Board of Trustees member for theNorth American Imams Federation.
Islam scholar Stephen Schwartz has said the following of Wahhaj:AFDI/SIOA VICTORY: RAUF OUT!
GROUND ZERO MOSQUESTROSITY NAMES NEW IMAM: ABDULLAH ADHAMI UPDATE: DAISY THE KHAN OUT, TOODue to the fact that Imam Feisal is focusing most of his energies and passion on launching this new and separate initiative, it is important that the needs of Park51, the Islamic Community Center in Lower Manhattan, take precedence. While Imam Feisal’s vision has a global scope and his ideals for the Cordoba Movement are truly exceptional, our community in Lower Manhattan is local. Our focus is and must remain the residents of Lower Manhattan and the Muslim American community in the Greater New York area.

BENEDICT GROVER: NORQUIST FIGHTS FOR THE JIHAD IN AFGHANISTAN
THEY CAN'T HELP IT -- ANTI-PALIN POSTERS
PAMELA GELLER, HUMAN EVENTS: USING THE GIFFORDS SHOOTING TO DESTROY FREE SPEECH
One teacher wrote last summer: “Hopefully he will be out of class very soon, and not come back with an automatic weapon.” A student wrote: “He frightened the daylights out of me. I kept saying to people, ‘I’m afraid he’s going to come into the class with a gun.' ”
Not only was he dangerous, he was a Leftist. Loughner’s high school friend, Caitie Parker, remembers him as a “political radical” who was “Left-wing, quite liberal.” Loughner also has a creepy “music video” up on YouTube, in which he is dressed as a terrorist and burns an American flag.
That’s what the Democrats do. Two proposals are floating. One is designed to tamp down the political rhetoric. What does that mean? It won’t apply to the left -- that much is sure. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), said Sunday: “We are in a dark place in this country right now; the atmospheric condition is toxic. Much of it originates here in Washington D.C., and we export it around the country.”
His solution? Muzzle the Right.
This from the congressman who lied and said he heard a “chorus” of Tea Partiers use an ugly racial epithet. Yet no evidence -- none -- was ever found for this allegation. There were thousands of people there, with hundreds of video cameras rolling. Not one caught this “chorus.” So Cleaver eventually retracted his claim. But now he is proposing speech restrictions? You can’t make this stuff up.
And Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) plans legislation to make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening to a federal official.
First Amendment out the window. Free speech, as long as it is speech the fascists like.
And why is a federal official’s life more valuable than say, mine? I get death threats all the time using jihadic language and Islamic symbols. Let’s outlaw those too, eh?
The killer was a madman -- Loughner stalked Giffords for three years. The killer’s eerie note: “I planned ahead.“
Three years. That means that he started before Palin became a key national figure, before the Tea Party and before the 2010 Republican win. So all those charges are just hate propaganda designed to destroy our best people. Loughner was no conservative. He was nuts. Period.
Exception makes bad law. The father of the 9-year-old angel who was shot in the chest does not want restrictions on free speech.ENEMY WITHIN: HAMAS GROUP CAIR POSTER -- SUBVERSIVE, SUPREMACIST GOAL CLEAR
"Build a Wall of Resistance," a poster announcing a Feb. 9 event published on the group's website says, "Don't Talk to the FBI."
A dark, sinister FBI agent is shown lurking in front of people's homes as doors slam shut.
It's in response to an FBI investigation in Minneapolis and Chicago involving possible support for two designated terrorist groups, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). A series of raids Sept. 24 targeted the homes of activists in both cities. They claim the investigation is an attempt by Eric Holder's Justice Department to silence anti-war dissent.
"This type of investigation is a tool to repress our movements for social justice and divide our communities," the announcement of the event said.
But that assessment is based solely on the word of those targeted. So far, no official information about the ongoing investigation or the probable cause that led a federal judge to authorize the searches has been released.
In response, however, supporters of those targeted have protested outside of courthouses and federal offices in several cities. The next one is scheduled for Jan. 25 in Chicago and elsewhere, corresponding to compelled grand jury appearances by several people. A website, stopfbi.net, posts articles and updates on the case.
CAIR's Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab called the investigation "a waste of taxpayer dollars." His chapter issued a statement denouncing the September raids. "The FBI has overstepped its bounds in targeting individuals based on their commitment to peacefully challenge US policies in Palestine and Columbia," it said. The Justice Department should call off the investigation and return what was taken in the searches.
Subsequently, Rehab's Michigan counterpart called the raids "a witch hunt to chill the 1st amendment rights of Americans." Dawud Walid later accused the FBI of having "recruited more so-called extremist Muslims than al-Qaida themselves" and likened the use of informants in terrorism-related investigations to the systematic discrimination inherent in Jim Crow laws, and the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.
Walid's rants follow his year-long campaign to find fault in FBI's shooting death of a Detroit imam in October 2009 after the imam opened fire first. That effort continued even after separate investigations by the state of Michigan and the Department of Justice found no wrongdoing.
CAIR's hostility toward law enforcement is long-standing, but the organization's rhetoric has increased since the FBI cut off formal communication with the group in 2008. That decision was based on exhibits admitted into evidence during a terror-financing trial in Dallas that showed CAIR founders were part of a Hamas-support network.
"[U]ntil we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS, the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner," an FBI official explained in a 2009 letter to U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
CAIR petitioned the Texas court to be removed from a list of unindicted co-conspirators in that case. But the district judge refused, ruling there is "ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR" and others "with Hamas.""REFUGE FROM ISLAM" WEBSITE FORBIDDEN? Victims of forced marriage
Forced Marriage UnitDEMOCRAT SHERIFF DUPNIK GUILTY OF DERELICTION OF DUTY
one of my duties as a p.a. was "involuntary treatment act" commitments. down to the psyche ward at the local hospital, ... , shrinks and mental health professionals would trot them in, prosecutor represented them, and some poor hapless soul would be drug in.
the mental health professional would describe the circumstances as to how they got involved, usually family, friends or arresting cops. the shrinks would recite their review of the case, and then they would issue a professional/expert opinion.
"did the person present a risk of harm either to himself or a member of the public as a result of mental defect or illness, or emotional defect or illness."
if the answer to that opinion were "yes" in the professionals opinion, then the judge had the authority to pop 'em in for 48 hours, whether they wanted to or not. then, the next question would be, ... .
"is it in the best interests of the patient to administer psychotropic drugs during the stay."
if the answer to that opion were "yes" then psychotropics would be administered. the usual powerful shit to make you do a pretty good zombie imitation.
at the end of the 48 hours, another hearing would be held, seeing if they had improved enough to be released, (usually "yes," go forth and sin no more, and see the shrink and the mental health guys, and take your prescribe/ordered meds, cuz if you get goofy again, you're coming back in.)
that hearing was authorized by statute to hold the person involuntarily for another 72.
if the psychotropics and the mental health guys, e.g., shrinks and hospital staff, couldn't help, then the question of commitment to the state mental hospital came up.
sometimes people would be so obviously looney tunes that away they went. sometimes so remarkably improved, that out on the sidewalk they went.
and, sometimes if they were borderline and it was tough, or it was especially cold and they were street people, the hearing might be continued a week or ten days to see if a little food, and a lot less alchol and self administered drugs, didn't settle them down enough to where they could be released under supervision.
how this relates to guns. if a person is adjudicated mentally defective by reason of mental illness or impairment, and they are committed, even to a local psyche ward, or if a person is convicted of a misdemeanor offense involving domestic violence or abuse, then they loose their rights to own or possess weapons. it is something to which the people are advised at the beginning of the process.
any law enforcement person knows this. stone cold. they just do.
a finding along this line is passed up the chain, and eventually it goes to the f.b.i.
when a person comes into a store to buy a gun, a pistol especially, they fill out paper work w/ the gun's vendor. they fill out paperwork for the state, and they fill out paper work for the feds. both forms have a little 8 or 9 question questionnaire, to be answered yes or no.
one of the questions is, "have you ever been adjudicated as being a risk to yourself or others as a result of mental or emotional defect or illness," or something along that general line. if you answer "yes," the store owner will not deliver the weapon to you, no matter how much you rant or rave or carry on.
if you answer all the questions correctly, then you are subject to a check with the f.b.i. the clerk walks over to the phone, and he simply calls up the f.b.i. hello, f/b/i, this fellow, wants to buy a gun. here are the particulars. will you please check out his history."
the f.b.i. guy checks. if the purchaser has a felony, or a misdemeanor involving domestic violence, or if the person has been adjudicated as mentally defective, he is turned down for delivery of the gun even at the end of the waiting period. (and, we mustn't leave out illegal alienage. also a disqualifier.)
the clerk walks over to the guy and says, sorry. they say no. you got a felony, according to them, or, you are fruit loops according to them.
sometimes when things are not clear, the purchaser is advised that his purchase is on "hold" until the f.b.i. and the state authorities get it all cleared up.
so, if you have been adjudicated fruitloops, no legal gun purchase.
why the sheriff of pima county is an impious bastard, and is trying to fob this off on someone else. well, it is obvious. the bastard dropped the ball on this kid.
they have all kinds of complaints on the little threatening bastard, and they know that he is cuckoo for cocoa puffs & getting kicked out of classes, ... , hell, i think some sort of authority, either campus security or the sheriffs had to be called to haul him out of class because he was so disruptive.
and, he should have been a prime candidate to be hauled off to a mental health professional for evaluation.
and, don't let anyone ever tell you that shrinks/docs/mental health guys cannot pop you in. a dear friend of mine, a lawyer, got all goofy over a woman, his secretary and became obsessed over her, and then despondent and depressed because she wouldn't leave her husband and kids for him. he started threatening suicide. i called his family, told them what i was gonna do (didn't ask, just told 'em), and called his shrink, and i told the shrink, he's got a weapon, and he is fruit loops. (a technical term one picks up in law practice.)
the shrink called him. and said, your hear in 1/2 hour, or the mental health guys are coming to get you on my medical directive per the statute. kapish.
he went to see him.
the sheriff of pima county, or any of his deputies, or any mental health professional or any doctor or shrink in pima county could have done the very same thing. they could have hauled him into an "i.t.a." commitment hearing, and had a legal determination whether commitment and medical treatment could have been imposed, on the legal basis discussed above.
simple as that.
sarah palin is not responsible for those deaths. the law enforcement officials and the public health apparatus of pima county is responsible, if anyone is. in not accepting this, the sheriff of pima county is either in denial, or he is a corrupt cynical leftist politician taking advantage of a tragedy to advance his agenda, or both.
no doubt about it.
it is just as simple as that. hell, everybody in the county knew about it, and did nothing. i suspect out of deference to the fact that the kid's mother worked for the county, and was probably a well liked associate.
john jay
p.s. i will tell you one other thing which makes this doubly horrendous. i am not a clinician, but i have been around this kind of bullshit before.
and, i will bet you a bag of dimes, that jared loughner was on some pretty heavy duty medications in the time leading up to this, because of being fruitloops, and i base that upon his sort of giddy attitude during his mug shot, and his physical appearance. the tissues of his head are all swelled up, and his head looks like a melon that has swelled, in comparison to all of his other pictures that i have seen of him, even as little as a year or so ago.
he has undergone some major physiological changes such as are in my experience attributable to heavy doses of heavy duty meds.
even knowing what they knew to ethically prescribe this sort of stuff, somebody did not seek his commitment. and, so, he was able to buy and retain ownership of a weapon, and to purchase the ammunition for it.
this is something i suspect that the sheriff of pima county doesn't want looked into very much, and so, know the best "o"-fence is a good "d"-fence, the bastard went after sarah palin.Wednesday, January 12, 2011
STATEMENT BY ASHRAF RAMELAH, PRESIDENT, VOICE OF THE COPTS, IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL
President, Voice of the Copts
We are appalled at the Copts’ rejection of fellow protesters who were draped in the Israeli national flag as a show of solidarity with Israel and the Jews.
We strongly condemn the actions of those Coptic Christians (mostly immigrants living in Italy) against the Italian citizens who joined them for the same fight against a common enemy.
This display of anti-Semitism has no place in our struggle for freedom in the world today.
Voice of the Copts stands together with the Jews of Israel and Jews around the world to confront the vicious attacks stemming from a religious and political ideology aimed against each and every one of us who are non-Muslim.
Furthermore, as Christians we stand upon the Biblical precept that we are grafted into the promises of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, a legacy which serves as the basis of our support of the Jews and their inheritance, and we join with them in their suffering.
Those of us who live in Egypt or have loved ones there may in fear or ignorance act out against the Jews, but these sentiments are in no way right or acceptable and will surely lead to devastating results for Copts, politically and religiously.
In addition, as Israel is a sovereign state recognized by the entire world, including the Egyptian regime, Copts have a choice to either align themselves with Islamic hatred or to align themselves with the official stance of their government. There is absolutely no justification for the former, for even if this position actually serves to reduce the Islamic bomb attacks, shootings and kidnappings which take place regularly against Copts, which it clearly does not, it is unconscionable.
We thank God for Israel, the one free democratic country within the Middle East. We pray for their prosperity and safe-keeping. May America and European countries continue to support and strengthen Israel!
Amen.LEBANON GOVERNMENT COLLAPSES
Lebanon's government collapsed Wednesday after Hezbollah and its allies resigned from the Cabinet in a dispute with Western-backed factions over upcoming indictments in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
A U.N.-backed tribunal investigating the truck bombing that killed Hariri and 22 others is widely expected to name members of the Shiite militant group, which many fear could re-ignite sectarian violence that has erupted repeatedly in the tiny nation.
Hezbollah's walkout ushers in the country's worst political crisis since 2008 in one of the most volatile corners of the Middle East.
Lebanon's 14-month-old government was an uneasy coalition linking bitter rivals: a Western-backed bloc led by Hariri's son Saad and Hezbollah, which is supported by Syria and Iran and maintains an arsenal that far outweighs that of the national army.
Disputes over the tribunal have paralyzed the government for months, with Hezbollah denouncing the court as a conspiracy by the U.S. and Israel and urging the prime minister to reject any of its findings. But Hariri has refused to break cooperation with the Netherlands-based tribunal.
Now, the chasm between the two sides is deepening with Hezbollah accusing Hariri's bloc of bowing to the West. Hezbollah's ministers timed their resignations to coincide with Hariri's meeting with President Barack Obama in Washington, forcing him to meet the American president as a caretaker prime minister.
Western governments have worked to strengthen the central government since Israel and Hezbollah fought a devastating 34-day war in 2006, but they also have expressed concern about the balance of power with the heavily armed militant group.
The U.S. classifies Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
A White House statement said Obama commended Hariri for his "steadfast leadership and efforts to reach peace, stability and consensus in Lebanon under difficult circumstances."
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Hezbollah's actions are "a transparent effort ... to subvert justice and to undermine Lebanon's sovereignty and independence."
"No country should be forced to choose between justice and stability," Clinton said while traveling in Doha, Qatar. "The Lebanese people deserve both."
Hariri's office had no immediate comment on the walkout that brought down his government, but they said he was heading to France to meet French President Sarkozy before heading back to Beirut. France, Lebanon's former colonial power, is a major player in Lebanese politics.
The immediate trigger for the Hezbollah withdrawal was the failure of talks between Syria and Saudi Arabia, a Hariri ally, to try to find a compromise over the tribunal.
There had been few details about the direction of the Syrian-Saudi initiative, but the talks were lauded as a potential Arab breakthrough, rather than a solution offered by Western powers.
"This Cabinet has become a burden on the Lebanese, unable to do its work," Jibran Bassil, who is resigning his post as energy minister, said at a news conference, flanked by the other Hezbollah-allied ministers who are stepping down. "We are giving a chance for another government to take over."
Bassil said the ministers decided to resign after Hariri "succumbed to foreign and American pressures" and turned his back on the Syrian-Saudi efforts.
Calls to the tribunal seeking comment Wednesday were not immediately returned.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon "is monitoring closely developments in Lebanon, where the situation is fast evolving," U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky said.
Hariri formed the current national unity government in November 2009 after his bloc narrowly defeated the Hezbollah-led opposition in elections. But it has struggled to function, and in the past two months it has met only for a few minutes because of the dispute over the tribunal.
[...]
Rafik Hariri's assassination in a massive truck bombings both stunned and polarized Lebanese. He was Lebanon's most prominent politician in the years after Lebanon's 1975-1990 civil war -- a Sunni who was a hero to his own community and backed by many Christians who sympathized with his efforts in the last few months of his life to reduce Syrian influence in the country.
A string of assassinations of anti-Syrian politicians and public figures followed, which U.N. investigators have said may have been connected to the Hariri killing.
The tribunal has not said who it will indict, but Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah has said he has information that members of his group will be named.
Now that the government has fallen, President Michel Suleiman will likely hold a meeting with the parliament speaker marking the beginning of consultations with lawmakers to name a prime minister-designate.
It is possible that Saad Hariri will get the largest numbers of backers given that he heads the largest bloc in parliament, but he could not build a coalition again without appealing to Hezbollah and its allies.THE CHEERING IN ARIZONA

LAWSUIT FILED TO STOP THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE
By Lawrence D. Jones|Christian Post ReporterNEW YORK – A conservative legal group asked the New York Supreme Court on Tuesday to halt construction of the Islamic cultural center near ground zero.
The American Center for Law and Justice, which represents 9/11 first responder firefighter Tim Brown in a lawsuit against the Park51 project, is seeking an injunction in any demolition and construction at the downtown Manhattan site.
The group alleges that Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his office overstepped their legal boundaries in assisting the developers of the $100 million project.
Court filings revealed several emails between Bloomberg's office and the Park51 developers.
In one email, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who is spearheading the project, wrote to a commissioner of the Community Affairs Unit in the mayor's office thanking her for drafting a letter to the Lower Manhattan Community Board 1 advocating for the project.
ACLJ counsel Brett Joshpe also asked the court to grant discovery in the case, noting that the mayor's office has not fully responded to the group's Freedom of Information Law request for communications between Bloomberg, the New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission, and the Islamic center's developers.
"There is a disturbing pattern of stonewalling by the City and Mayor's Office in providing information about what's clearly been a politically tainted process from day one," said Josphe in a statement.
"The limited release of documents by the Mayor's Office underscores our concerns."
Filed last August, Brown's lawsuit alleges that the LPC abused its discretion and acted arbitrarily in its deliberations last summer about whether to give landmark status to the building at 45-47 Park Place, which would have made it difficult for Rauf to develop the Islamic center and mosque there. The LPC denied landmark status to the building, located just two blocks from the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The lawsuit names the LPC, the New York City Department of Buildings, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the project's developers.
In its request for injunctive relief, ACLJ said it believes destruction of the building is imminent, citing two complaints ofunauthorized work without proper permits at the site.
The proposed center is expected to include a mosque, a daycare, gym, an interfaith prayer space, and a 9/11 Memorial cultural center, among other things.
Activist Pamela Geller is expected to lead another protest against the mosque next month.A CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE MIND, AGAINST LIFE, AGAINST MAN AND

MUSLIM DAD WILL STAND TRIAL IN "HONOR" MURDER OF NOOR ALMALEKI
PHOENIX – An Iraqi immigrant accused of killing his daughter because he believed she was too Westernized will go to trial in Phoenix after he failed to reach a plea deal with prosecutors.
Prosecutors and attorneys for Faleh Hassan Almaleki had been in discussions about a plea deal for weeks ahead of a scheduled Jan. 18 trial date. Barring a last-minute deal that appears unlikely, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Roland Steinle said at a hearing Tuesday that he would call two large groups of potential jurors next week.
