Families face being rationed to just 80 bags of rubbish a year Tuesday January 25,2011 FAMILIES face being rationed to just 80 bags of rubbish a year as councils try to meet EU targets, it was revealed last night. Households who throw away more will have to take it to the tip or buy a limited number of extra bags. The scheme is already in use in Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. The Conservative-led council in Wokingham, Berkshire, is to bring it in. And the controversial plan is being considered by 180 more councils. But Doretta Cocks, of the Campaign for Weekly Waste Collections, said: “They must think we are idiots. “How can they claim to be concerned for the environment when they tell people to drive to the local tip? And what do you do if you don’t have a car? Walk?” Wokingham officials have told residents that 75-litre sacks will be given to each household and anything not left in them will not be collected. Families of five will get 100 rubbish bags a year and households of six will be given 120. Green residents will have a weekly recycling collection limited to cans, paper and card, plastic bottles and aerosols as local authorities cut down on waste. The council has told residents it will save £922,000 under the new system, set to be introduced next April.UK NEWS

yet another reason to leave this interferring organisation ruled by an unelected oligharchy called the European Commission.
Instead of 'hoping' that we can leave - I propose that we SET A DATE & just work towards it.
The Aniversary of D-Day - when the Anglo-Am's liberated Europe from the dictatorship of the 3rd Reich - is a good (and memorable) day to liberate OURSELVES - and 2012 gives us 18 months to get organised.
SO SPREAD THE WORD - WE ARE LEAVING THE EU ON 6th June 2012.

We had metal dustbins that were heavy and full of ash from the coal fires. The bin men used to come into the back yard, lift them on their shoulders, carry them to the wagon, empty them and return them to the back yard, We had no other rubbish since we burnt it. Now we have to wheel them onto the road possibly down steps and if the lid is sticking up by an inch they wont take it

YET AGAIN WE SEE THESE OVER PAID IDIOTS TRYING TO RULE OUR LIVES WHILST THEY GRAB OUR MONEY AND LIVE IN LUXURY.
IT IS ABOUT TIME THAT WE ALL START TO CAMPAIGN OUR MP'S AND THE PM ON HIS WEB PAGE TO GET US OUT OF THE EU ALTOGETHER.
THE ONLY REASON THEY NEED US IS FOR OUR MONEY SO IN TIMES WHEN WE ARE IN NEED DO WE STILL WHAT TO BE IN A CLUB THAT IS INTENT ON BLEEDING US DRY.
INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING THE PACK CAMERON SHOULD LEAD IT BY PULLING US OUT WOULD ONLY MEAN THE FRENCH AND GERMANS WOULD FOLLOW, FROM THEN ON OUR ECONOMY WOULD BE ABLE TO GROW WITHOUT THE PARASITES IN BRUSSELS.
IT'S TIME TO GET OUT OF THE EU SIMPLY BECAUSE IT' BRINGS NO BENEFIT TO THIS NATION WHAT SO EVER.
