Regarding the prisoners and their votes. 9.2.2011.

Those in Prison are kept warm, and they are fed perhaps better than some of our elderly folk, and now they want the vote when perhaps they have never ever voted in their lives before? I dare say John Hirst’s 'landlady,' he killed with an axe, wanted to live, but he made sure she wasn't going to. She didn't have a choice, did she?
Think about this. Some years ago, those people that took another person's life, may/would have been hung by the neck until dead. In fact, "Death by Hanging" was still "on the books" until 1998 when repealed at the end of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The John Hirsts’ of this World would not be alive to either vote or challenge any decision of this Government nor appeal to the ECHR. He though, and other’s like him, would never have been able to "kill" again either.
The ‘forgotten’ in all this are innocent victims that have had their lives cut short-they did not have a chance to LIVE never mind have even the RIGHTS to vote. Now tell me truly would some-one who cares so little about "life" or the freedom of others to ‘live’, is bothered about where he or she puts a cross on a little slip of paper? Why, when people have bothered to turn out to vote to put others in a British Parliament to “speak” for them and yes, expect to pay them out of their taxes, those same people are surprised and yes angry that those once trusted MP’s have, by signing another scrap of paper, have so casually given their bound duty to foreigners to decide what is best for this Country, an act that is not it is accordance with our Country’s long standing Constitution and completely contrary to the Oaths of Allegiance all make before they may take up their seats even though we, the people have freely elected them. That is how important that Oath and their Allegiance to the British Crown is, for it is said that our Monarch reigns but does not rule, yet as the ‘Crown’, the Queen represents the People in Parliament. Sadly, in that ‘Parliament,’ Governments have ‘eagerly allowed the ECHR and the European Union to over-ride any National Government to the effect that our own once proud free people are now a cowed nation.
When we really think about all this, curbing the Monarch's authority in the Revolution of 1688/9 for the exploitation of the Royal Prerogative and all that, what have our Modern Day, up to date "withit men and women” done? They have given to foreigners all that those men in days of old, everything that they won through that Revolution! Yet here we are, trying to defend our own Parliamentary sovereignty to prevent murderers, thieves and vagabonds from voting for those same Members of Parliament that so casually gave their own Country's sovereignty away to a “Higher Court”?
They rejoice perhaps that they are “getting one over” the people that put them in prison in the first place. Beware for the people may start a new Revolution of their own for they certainly will not continue to pay for much longer for a Government that cannot Govern, nor continue to pay foreigners to govern this Country that may possibly be treason, for it is indeed contrary to our Constitution.
Over the years I have visited many Prisons and Borstals up and down this Country and from what I have seen, especially in the nearest prison to where I live, they have plenty to do, beautifully equipped Gymnasiums, Chapels, Library’s, everything and more than they would have out-side, and apart from the fact they are confined, they are better looked after than many elderly people that are living on their own. They do not even have to pay to study if they wish to improve their education.
The ECHR is separate from the EU. However, as the EU itself has already put out one proposal document with the intention of the EU becoming "party" to THE ECHR, it would be as well for the UK to get out of the ECHR as quickly as it can. To even make an “appeal” or the ability to make one to that Court would be as self destructing and humiliating for any once proud Sovereign Country.
The EU is constitutionally at this moment in time, more important than the ECHR. We are required to give "precedence" to EU law. As I understand it, the ECHR is not entrenched against either implied or express repeal and therefore theoretically it could be repealed. Is what is taking place now a farce, for this Government could pull out of the ECHR IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO DO THAT. However, it rather looks as if Mr Cameron does not want to, but is looking rather to more deeper and more integration into the European union. I say that with confidence because the Legislation that he is implementing at present proves that, for it is all towards deeper and more meaningful EU integration. (The dismantling of the NHS in readiness to join the Euro in the next Parliament) The Localism Bill, (Towards local and Regional Governance-yes, another layer of Government-unless we lose our Commons) The EU’s TEN-T program, which covers land-roads and rail, air and sea. For the EU’s Motorway in the Sea, for the Single European Sky and the Ports. That “PORTS” had me puzzled until I realised for ‘EU’ ships to come in and out of our Ports they would be within the 12 mile limit and thus-it would not be THEIRS, so will we lose the 12 mile limit? Will World Maps have to be altered? Will the English Channel become as a rather large river between England and France in just one big EU State of? I don’t know, but I can’t see any other explanation for all that is in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Policy.
Having just written THAT above, I seem to remember that we are also led to understand that all we have to do to get out of the EU is to repeal the European Communities Act 1972. I do feel there would be a "tad" more to than that, however that is what we have been told. It would be far better to repudiate the Treaty of Lisbon before two years of its ratification has gone by though. (See Convention on the Law of Treaties) Better that than the people deciding they cannot afford to keep paying their taxes that go towards paying the billions to EU Contributions, and most certainly there is no point in paying the European Court of Human Rights, when the wrong doer has more RIGHTS than the Law abiding person. Are we, in paying our Taxes (Council taxes and tax on our other Bills) contributing to Treason by obeying laws instigated by foreigners in the EU and ECHR, when we also pay our own MP’s to Govern this Country according to its Common Law Constitution? According to R v Thistlewood, 1820 to destroy the Constitution is treason.
Finally, if the prisoners get the vote, I will campaign for all those ‘outside’ prison NOT TO VOTE for any of the three major Political Party in the next election for ALL THREE PARTIES WANT TO REMAIN IN THE EU and obey foreign laws rather than build upon our own long standing Constitution, yet they still want the money as if THEY are making all our laws according to our Constitution.
