Fury as David Cameron Apes Blair with £1m 'Sofa Squad' of Unelected Advisers

'David Cameron was last night accused of snubbing his own Cabinet by reviving Tony Blair’s heavily-criticised policy of running No 10 by ‘sofa diplomacy’ with a new £1 million team of unelected advisers.

The high-powered Downing Street recruits will be given the right to issue orders to senior Ministers in an attempt to put an end to a catalogue of Government blunders and U-turns such as last week’s humiliating climbdown over the plan to sell off forests.

The move marks a dramatic reversal of the Prime Minister’s scathing criticism of Mr Blair and Mr Brown for relying on a small group of cronies with Cabinet Ministers sidelined. And it comes with a high price tag: the new No 10 ‘A’ team will cost around £1 million with average pay packets of close to £100,000 – most funded by taxpayers.'

EU Farming Subsidies for the Royal Family Must Stay Secret

'Ministers have ordered an information blackout on the massive farming subsidies paid to the Queen, Prince Charles and dozens of other wealthy landowners.

Payouts, which in past years have amounted to £500,000 to the Queen and more than £100,000 to the Prince of Wales, will remain secret because publication has been deemed an invasion of privacy by the European Court of Justice.'

A License to Parent Your Own Children

'The eventual goal of SACWIS is to have it interlinked from state to state, across the United States of America and to eventually pass a law making it standard to run everyone’s name through the system prior to releasing their newborn child from the hospital to them to decide whether or not they should be permitted to have custody of their child.

Yes: soon, people will need to pass this "background check" in order to take their own newborn child home from the hospital.'

This is what I have been highlighting for so long - the plan is, as detailed in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World as long ago as 1932, to eventually remove children from their parents all together and have them 'brought up' (programmed) by the State.

Here Goes Another One!: Bidoons Stage Protest Rally in Kuwait

'Hundreds of Bidoon protesters have once again staged a protest rally in Kuwait to demand basic social rights in the oil-rich Persian Gulf country.

The demonstration turned violent on Saturday when riot police opened fire on the protesters in Sulaibiya, a village outside Kuwait City, AFP reported. The stateless Arabs, known as Bidoons, demand the right to Kuwaiti citizenship and the right to work in the country. At least seven people were injured and dozens more arrested in the unrest.'

Spanish Protesters Back Basque Pro-Independence Party

'Tens of thousands of separatists rallied in the troubled northern Basque region on Saturday to demand from the government that it allows a newly launched pro-independence party to run in upcoming elections. Those behind the party, called Sortu, insist it rejects armed group ETA's violence and hence merits legal status and the right to field candidates in May election.

However, Spain's attorney general on Friday said it was merely a repackaged version of Batasuna, a party banned in 2003 on grounds it was part of ETA. It is up to a special section of the Supreme Court to decide on the new party's legal status.'

Time to Topple Corporate Dictators

'Here at home, the political system is a two-party dictatorship whose gerrymandering results in most electoral districts being one-party fiefdoms. The two Parties block the freedom of third parties and independent candidates to have equal access to the ballots and to the debates. Another barrier to competitive democratic elections is big money, largely commercial in source, which marinates most politicians in cowardliness and sinecurism.

Our legislative and executive branches, at the federal and state levels, can fairly be called corporate regimes. This is corporatism where government is controlled by private economic power. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called this grip “fascism” in a formal message to Congress in 1938.

Corporatism shuts out the people and opens governmental largesse paid for by taxpayers to insatiable corporations.'
