Did you know that the Michael Chertoff-drafted
PATRIOT Act was originally sold as a temporary
emergency measure and was supposed to expire?
Guess what? It's been extended and it about to
be extended again. Some junior fascists would like
to extend it permanently.
What's the Act about?
Basically, it turns all Americans into suspects
without the need for evidence, judge-issued
warrants and other elements of the rule of law.
PATRIOT Act or Bill of Rights...you can't have
both...and Bushbama and friends are going to
renew it.
