Egypt's Hosni Mubarak has finally resigned after years of
being propped up by the western democracies
Viva Egypt!
In AOL owned HuffPo (shame!) Martin Varsavsky writes that Assange is not the point, WikiLeaks is. "What is crucial... is the wealth of information that we have learned thanks to WikiLeaks," he says. As erstwhile friends and colleagues bitch about Julian Assange betraying him for money and fame, WikiLeaks marches on. The Tunisian uprising referred to as the first WikiLeaks revolution has seen the campaigning website as a “catalyst for change" in repressive regimes around the world. WikiLeaks has placed political information about these countries and how their rulers behave into the public domain the like of which the average resident citizen of these regimes has never before seen. WikiLeaks has thrown a lit spark on to a bonfire of justified resentments now kindling around the world. The information action revolution in all its physical/cyber-linked shape shifting guises is here to stay, no matter how much character assassination is chucked at the messenger WikiLeaks Editor, Julian Assange.

2. Feminists In Assange Case Damage Feminism
Legendary feminist Swedish radio personality Helene Bergman
The preliminary investigation protocol into Julian Assange's romantic affairs is shocking reading for an old feminist from the 1970s. I who for years led Swedish Radio's legendary 'Radio Ellen' and fought for the rights of women and equality through innumerable reports describing women's reality. We do exist, we who love men and our sons. But after having read the protocol I feel a need to warn our sons about jumping into bed with unknown Swedish women in Sweden. Good god - it can end up in a rape allegation! I'd never have dreamt that a justified struggle for equality would wash over into a state-sponsored feminism that completely loses all its sensibility and sanity. Where claimant Anna Ardin can state the following in an interrogation about her relationship with Assange: 'I was really chuffed to have the coolest guy in the world living in my flat and sleeping in my bed.' And then she goes to the police! The way Anna Ardin and Sofia Wilén play with fire will most likely end in untold misery, not in the least for them. They should therefore withdraw their complaints whilst they still have time. But that's not possible in Sofia Wilén's case because rape is a crime against the state. That's to say: the impersonal state-sponsored feminism has taken over and Wilén will simply have to await her fate. One Click Note: In all of the information coming out from the court in the Julian Assange sex allegations case, never once have we heard of the simple word"No!" uttered by either of the complainants Anna Ardin and Sofia Wilen. No matter how much CPS prosecution barrister Clare Montgomery may try to dance round the blindingly obvious, to many this happens to be the crux of the case.

4. Julian Assange Extradition Trial Report, 2011-02-11
UPDATED
UPDATED
Anna Ardin, Julian Assange & Sofia Wilen
For the third and final day of Julian Assange’s Extradition trial in London, One Click once again collated what we consider to be some of the best and most informative tweets coming out of the court. The lawyers’ presentations today consisted of the closing arguments. Julian Assange has been purposefully portrayed as an enemy of the people by the Swedish premier, Fredrik Reinfeldt. In most developed countries, but not Sweden, the law must be treated separately from the political process. The Assange case has been subject to political interference. Clare Montgomery, the CPS barrister for the prosecution, has form in extradition trials – she previously represented Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in his extradition case. The judge’s decision on the Julian Assange extradition trial will be handed down on 24 February 2011. Whatever the result for whichever side, the decision will be subject to Appeal in the High Court. The CPS has become the bitch for the Swede legal money suck circus that is set to run and run. Is this case really a sensible use of UK infrastructure during this recession and just how much is it costing the Swedish taxpayer?
