Announcing our new Communications Director!
By Brigitte Gabriel, President
Dear Harold,
I am honored and proud to announce that Hal Weatherman, currently Chief of Staff for U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, will be joining the ACT! for America staff in late March as National Communications and Marketing Director.
Hal is an exceptional and rare find. He is not only a talented, articulate, experienced and savvy professional who understands the media, legislative affairs, and the grassroots, but he is also well-versed on the threat of radical Islam.
He brings to ACT! for America 16 years of experience on Capitol Hill and a deep knowledge of how things are done in Congress, and he is an expert on the Muslim Brotherhood and frequently conducts presentations exposing the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of America.
Words really can’t describe how excited we are that Hal Weatherman is joining the ACT! for America leadership team!
Hal, who has a Masters Degree in Communications, has been a part of Rep. Myrick’s staff for 16 years, serving as her Chief of Staff for the past 12 years. Prior to that he served as Rep. Myrick’s press secretary.
Rep. Myrick is a leader in the Congress among those who understand the threat radical Islam poses to us. She is the founder and Co-Chair of the House Anti-Terrorism Caucus and currently serves on the House Intelligence Committee.
As an example of the kind of leader Rep. Myrick is, last Thursday she issued a press release in which she criticized Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for his astonishing statement claiming that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “largely secular” organization.
In that release Myrick said: “Either the Administration doesn’t know who the Muslim Brotherhood is, which shows incompetence, or they are apologizing for them, which is inappropriate for those in charge of protecting the American people. Let’s be clear—the Muslim Brotherhood is NOT secular.”
In his role as National Communications and Marketing Director, Hal will be involved in everything from media communications to helping develop and implement strategies that integrate grassroots projects with public relations.
This is another big step in ACT! for America’s growth and development. You have helped make this possible! My heart swells with pride when I think of everything we have accomplished in a little over three years. I thank you, our members and donors, from the bottom of my heart for helping us get to where we are today.
Always devoted,
Brigitte Gabriel
