Christian Concern is pleased to be leading the Not Ashamed initiative. Happy Easter - Message from Andrea
Dear Supporter
Everything we do at Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre is motivated by our love for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
As we approach Easter we humble ourselves at the foot of the cross where He became sin for us. He took the blame; He bore the wrath so that we might stand forgiven at the Cross. What a wonderful, beautiful, majestic Saviour! We gaze upon Him, we serve Him, we look to Him and we will have the courage to stand for Him and for all Truth that emanates from Him. In Him there is no fear though when we stand for Him the world would want us to shrink back.
Let’s join together, a fearless army to proclaim Jesus, our Saviour and Lord of all. Wishing you all the joy and peace that flows from knowing Him.
Andrea

Following last week’s highlight on the violence in Nigeria, further violence has occurred this week following the Presidential elections.
Around 3,000 people are reported to have been displaced from their homes, and so far there have been 22 confirmed deaths and the destruction of over 70 churches. Further information here.
The Love Jos Campaign has been launched by Christians in the UK to encourage others to engage with the systematic and ongoing violence and persecution against Christians in Nigeria by Islamic fundamentalists.
A very hard hitting documentary has been produced by the campaign called “Plateau – the Final Frontier”.
You can watch the promo here >
You can purchase the film for £10 by contacting support@lovejos.org.uk. Please note that the documentary contains highly graphic scenes. If you would like to donate to Love Jos in order to help the victims of these atrocities then please donate here and specify "Love Jos".

In order to highlight the ongoing damage caused by the abortion industry in this country we need to have clear testimonies from women who have suffered and who are willing to tell their stories. If you feel able, please help us to break the silence surrounding abortion. If you have had an abortion, and feel willing to talk, we would like to know how you were treated and how abortion has affected you.

A Christian employee has been moved from his workplace and faces possible disciplinary action because of his display of a small palm cross in the company van he drives.
Colin Atkinson has worked for Wakefield District Housing for 15 years, and has discreetly displayed his palm cross in the van for that entire time. There was nothing in the company rules banning a display of personal items in vans. Yet following a complaint from a tenant, who suggested that the cross might offend other faiths, Colin has been put under huge pressure to remove the cross from his van, and company rules have been amended since the dispute to ban personal items. So far Colin has refused - and he is now being investigated for his alleged failure to comply.
