Between "humanitarian interventions" in Iraq, Afghanistan,
in Libya and now "potential involvement" in Sierra Leone,
the US has it's handful.
It's funny because if the US wanted to do something
humanitarian, it doesn't need to leave the continent.
If you watch US TV news, you get the sense that
"something" is going on in Mexico and that something
is not good.
We're told it has something to do with "drug cartels"
and that the US is helping make things better...
That's where the story fall apart.
A picture is worth a thousand words and this short
video is an encyclopedia of how far gone certain areas
of Mexico (that border the US) have become.
We arm these guys, we even occasionally train them.
Here there are waging the war on drugs...which in Mexico
means eliminating anyone competing with the army or
clients of the central government.
