Markymark comment (10/4/11) on Autonomous Minds rightly observes:
'We have reached the point where most people of the right/conservative or
even libertarian side of things probably hold many views [that] are simply
no longer able to be expressed.'
If certain views can no longer be expressed then it demonstrates that Leonard Shapiro,
the philosopher writing on the Stalinist era in the USSR was right when he said:
"The true object of propaganda is neither to convince nor to persuade, but
to produce a uniform pattern of public utterance in which the first trace
of unorthodox thought reveals itself as a jarring dissonance."
In other words PC has scored a strategic victory, and who is it you pay to promotes PC? -
no prize for first correct answer.
To roll all this back will require guts and determination and above all endurance -
have you stopped paying your BBC poll tax?
