Today, in front of the collective negation of humanity, aka the UN, I was asked to speak at a tribute to the victims of the Greek, Armenian and Assyrian Genocides by Islamic jihad. While it was a small affair, it was powerful, passionate and determined to change the sanction of genocide. This year’s commemoration was organized and hosted by Panthracian Union of America ‘Orpheus’ and supported by the Hellenic League of America, HLA. I spoke, along with such guest speakers as First Vice-President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Professor Alex Hinton; President of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, Elias Tsekerides and President of the PanPontian Federation of USA and Canada, Dimitris Molohides. The SIOA board member, the magnificent Pamela Hall, was there. I will update the posts with her pics and video later...... Geller partial remarks: December 19th 2007 the International Association of Genocide Scholars adopted a resolution to recognize the Assyrian Genocide. Finally, an international organisation made of qualified scholars has made a resolution to recognize the jihad slaughter of millions of Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, Jews and Yezidis by the Islamic warlords of the Ottoman Empire and call it what it was - Genocide. The Ottoman Empire now Turkey claims to have changed and has become a Democratic country and and wants to be welcomed into the European Union despite never acknowledging let along making amends or recompense for the their murder of millions, during the late Ottoman Empire, of hundreds of thousands of Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks and other minorities were killed in a planned, organized genocide that was carried out by the government of the time. And yet the "moderate" Prime Minister of Turkey Erdogan "Mosques are our barracks, minarets our bayonets, domes our helmets, the believers our soldiers." The Assyrian population in the Ottoman Empire numbered about one million at the turn of the twentieth century and was largely concentrated in what is now Iran, Iraq and Turkey.[1] Like other Christians residing in the empire, they were treated as second-class citizens and denied public positions of power. Violence directed against them prior to the First World War was not new. Many Assyrians were subjected to massacre and forced conversion to Islam. Our strength consists in our speed and in our brutality. Genghis Khan led millions of women and children to slaughter — with premeditation and a happy heart. History sees in him solely the founder of a state. It's a matter of indifference to me what a weak western European civilization will say about me. I have issued the command — and I'll have anybody who utters but one word of criticism executed by a firing squad — that our war aim does not consist in reaching certain lines, but in the physical destruction of the enemy. Accordingly, I have placed my death-head formations in readiness — for the present only in the East — with orders to them to send to death mercilessly and without compassion, men, women, and children of Polish derivation and language. Only thus shall we gain the living space (Lebensraum) which we need. Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians? The world looked away then too. Hitler aligned with the leader of the Muslim world, al-Husseini (an officer in Ottoman Empire who was active in thr Armenian genocide.) Al-Husseini lived in Berlin, in the lap of luxury, all expenses paid by, Hitler. The Assyrian Diaspora should operate on two levels towards genocide recognition. Assyrian organizations should work on a national and international level to publicize the genocide through media campaigns, letter writing campaigns to major newspapers, insertion of single page advertisement of Assyrian Martyrs Day in major newspapers and lobbying important politicians in adopted homelands. At an international level, Assyrian organizations should use the fora of the United Nations and its relevant agencies as well as the European Union to publicize its Genocide. It is also important to engage a public relations firm to help "promote" the Assyrian Genocide to the international community. The issue of reparations remains a contentious one. Do you think a demand for reparations by the victims should be part of the genocide recognition dialogue? Reparations could form part of the genocide recognition dialogue with Turkey. However this will depend on whether any Assyrians had purchased insurance policies or held bank accounts and title deeds to family property during the last years of the Ottoman Empire. The Armenians have filed law suits against New York Life Insurance, Axa Insurance and Deutsche Bank trying to recover monies of their dead ancestors. So far New York Life and Axa have compensated Armenian descendants. Assyrian activists, like their Armenian counterparts, have sought to pressure Turkey by gaining recognition of the genocide by countries around the world. Do you think this approach is beneficial?Assyrians can focus on the current Middle East situation without taking an eye off the past. I hope that the Assyrians can use their present persecution to tell the international community that their suffering has continued almost non-stop from the early 20th century. It is important that the victims of the First World War are not forgotten and their memories are preserved for future generations. News account: Numerous articles in the American press documented the genocide of Assyrians by the Turks and their Kurdish allies. By 1918, The Los Angeles Times carried the story of a Syrian, or most likely an Assyrian, merchant from Urmia who stated that his city was ‘‘completely wiped out, the inhabitants massacred,’’ 200 surrounding villages ravaged, 200,000 of his people dead, and hundreds of thousands of more starving to death in exile from their agricultural lands. In an article entitled ‘‘Native Christians Massacred,’’ the Associated Press correspondent reported that in the vicinity of Urmia, ‘‘Turkish regular troops and Kurds are persecuting and massacring Assyrian Christians.’’ Close to 800 were confirmed dead in Urmia, and another 2,000 had perished from disease. Two hundred Assyrians had been burned to death inside a church, and the Russians had discovered more than 700 bodies of massacre victims in the village of Hafdewan outside Urmia, ‘‘mostly naked and mutilated,’’ some with gunshot wounds, others decapitated, and still others carved to pieces. Eyewitness accounts and quotes Statement of German Missionaries on Urmia. There was absolutely no human power to protect these unhappy people from the savage onslaught of the invading hostile forces. It was an awful situation. At midnight the terrible exodus began; a concourse of 25,000 men, women, and children, Assyrians and Armenians, leaving cattle in the stables, all their household hoods and all the supply of food for winter, hurried, panic-stricken, on a long and painful journey to the Russian border, enduring the intense privations of a foot journey in the snow and mud, without any kind of preparation... It was a dreadful sight,... many of the old people and children died along the way.[23] The latest news is that four thousand Assyrians and one hundred Armenians have died of disease alone, at the mission, within the last five months. All villages in the surrounding district with two or three exceptions have been plundered and burnt; twenty thousand Christians have been slaughtered in Armenia and its environs. In Haftewan, a village of Salmas, 750 corpses without heads have been recovered from the wells and cisterns alone. Why? Because the commanding officer had put a price on every Christian head... In Dilman crowds of Christians were thrown into prison and driven to accept Islam.[24] Posted by Pamela Geller on Wednesday, April 06, 2011 at 02:36 PM in The Truth About Islam | Permalink | Comments (15) ShareThis World Net Daily has comprehensive coverage of the Al Jazeera press conference: Al-Jazeera called 'security risk' for America Conference speakers warn expansion plans 'invitation to radicalize Muslims' WASHINGTON – The proposed expansion into American cable markets by Al-Jazeera, the Arab-language broadcaster headquartered in Doha, Qatar, could offer a serious security risk for America, according to speakers at a conference held here. The conference at the National Press Club, which included speaker Cliff Kincaid of America's Survival, called on Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., to hold hearings on the issue in his Homeland Security Committee. A panel that included Kincaid, blogger Pamela Geller, securities analyst Charles Ortel, independent TV producer Jerry Kenney and investigative journalist Lee Kaplan agreed that the network, often used by terrorists to deliver their messages to the world, actually has helped radicals such as al-Qaida, Hezbollah and Hamas in their efforts to radicalize Muslims. "Al-Jazeera's anti-American programming already has a dangerous foothold in the United States," Kincaid said. "And it is seeking to expand to millions of homes through a deal with the cable giant Comcast. Any such deal would pose an unacceptable danger to American citizens by further adding to the potential for home-grown jihadists inspired by al-Jazeera’s inflammatory programming." Kincaid's comments, Part 1: Part 2: Documents released by WikiLeaks have shown that Al-Jazeera lacks editorial independence. Owned by Qatari emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, it acts an integral tool of the emirate's foreign policy, according to Kincaid. London's Guardian newspaper documented last December that the network had modified its coverage to suit the emirate's ends. WikiLeaks cables documented U.S. Ambassador Joseph LeBaron saying: "Al-Jazeera's ability to influence public opinion throughout the region is a substantial source of leverage for Qatar, one which it is unlikely to relinquish. Moreover, the network can also be used as a chip to improve relations. For example, al-Jazeera's more favorable coverage of Saudi Arabia's royal family has facilitated Qatari-Saudi reconciliation over the past year." The Qatari-based Al-Jazeera shot back, denying the allegation in a statement by its director-general, Wadah Khanfar. He compared its editorial independence with that of the BBC, which is owned by the British government. But the panel pointed out that Al-Jazeera's primary Arabic-language network has frequently served as a mouthpiece for Muslim Brotherhood figures such as Egyptian-born cleric Yusuf al-Qardawi and for terrorists such as Osama Bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki. The network interviewed Awlaki, who has been marked for death by the Obama administration, in the immediate aftermath of the attempted Christmas Day bombing and the Fort Hood shootings. Al-Jazeera quoted Awlaki as praising the attacks and encouraging Muslims to engage in violence against the United States and "take revenge for all Muslims across the globe." The Muslim Brotherhood’s website, Ikhwanweb, describes Khanfar as having a Muslim Brotherhood background, but the Al-Jazeera chief denied his politics have an impact on his channel's coverage. However, media critic Mamoun Fandy testified before the 9/11 commission that Al-Jazeera's reporters were a "Who's Who" "in the rank and file of the Brotherhood." Kincaid also cited a federal lawsuit seeking damages from the network due to its alleged involvement in Hezbollah's 2006 rocket attacks against Israel. The case claims that Israel-based Al-Jazeera employees helped the terror group determine the accuracy of its attacks against the Jewish state. "Al-Jazeera should be designated a terrorist organization just like [Hezbollah's channel] Al-Manar," Geller said. "Al-Manar's designated a terrorist organization. Geller's comments, Part 1: Part 2: Part 3: "Don't tell me this is a free speech issue; this is war, and it's an invitation to radicalize the American Muslim population. It's devilish, and we are not even raising a hand," she said. Kincaid hopes information about Al-Jazeera's alleged role in aiding radical Islamic terrorism will convince the U.S. State Department to follow suit and label the network as a foreign terror organization. Al-Jazeera already has made inroads into American markets, particularly in Washington, D.C., and in several other cities where the network's English-language channel operates on public television stations via the MHz network. Kenney alleges that MHz illegally has ceded programming control to Al-Jazeera and the Kremlin's English-language network Russia Today. "In effect, foreign propagandists have hijacked public television stations made possible by the American taxpayers," Kenney said. "I always thought that public TV stations adhered to production standards that put a substantial emphasis on accuracy in content. But obviously something has changed. "It seems that some bureaucrat-broadcasters are willing to air almost anything knowing that no matter how misleading, irresponsible or reprehensible it may be, they can always justify it in the name of improved global understanding, academic freedom or free speech. Take your pick. That is, if they are even aware that they are airing it at all." The panel similarly called on Comcast to back out of negotiations to carry Al-Jazeera English on its cable systems across the country. Comcast and MHz could not be reached for comment. Capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned. Today Paul Ryan took a step in the right direction. The nineteenth century was the ultimate product and expression of the intellectual trend of the Renaissance and the Age of Reason, which means: of a predominantly Aristotelian philosophy. And, for the first time in history, it created a new economic system, the necessary corollary of political freedom, a system of free trade on a free market: capitalism. No, it was not a full, perfect, unregulated, totally laissez-faire capitalism—as it should have been. Various degrees of government interference and control still remained, even in America—and this is what led to the eventual destruction of capitalism. But the extent to which certain countries were free was the exact extent of their economic progress. America, the freest, achieved the most. Never mind the low wages and the harsh living conditions of the early years of capitalism. They were all that the national economies of the time could afford. Capitalism did not create poverty—it inherited it. Compared to the centuries of precapitalist starvation, the living conditions of the poor in the early years of capitalism were the first chance the poor had ever had to survive. As proof—the enormous growth of the European population during the nineteenth century, a growth of over 300 per cent, as compared to the previous growth of something like 3 per cent per century. If you want to prove to yourself the power of ideas and, particularly, of morality—the intellectual history of the nineteenth century would be a good example to study. The greatest, unprecedented, undreamed of events and achievements were taking place before men’s eyes—but men did not see them and did not understand their meaning, as they do not understand it to this day. I am speaking of the industrial revolution, of the United States and of capitalism. For the first time in history, men gained control over physical nature and threw off the control of men over men—that is: men discovered science and political freedom. The creative energy, the abundance, the wealth, the rising standard of living for every level of the population were such that the nineteenth century looks like a fiction-Utopia, like a blinding burst of sunlight, in the drab progression of most of human history. If life on earth is one’s standard of value, then the nineteenth century moved mankind forward more than all the other centuries combined. Did anyone appreciate it? Does anyone appreciate it now? Has anyone identified the causes of that historical miracle? They did not and have not. What blinded them? The morality of altruism. Let me explain this. There are, fundamentally, only two causes of the progress of the nineteenth century—the same two causes which you will find at the root of any happy, benevolent, progressive era in human history. One cause is psychological, the other existential—or: one pertains to man’s consciousness, the other to the physical conditions of his existence. The first isreason, the second is freedom. And when I say “freedom,” I do not mean poetic sloppiness, such as “freedom from want” or “freedom from fear” or “freedom from the necessity of earning a living.” I mean “freedom from compulsion—freedom from rule by physical force.” Which means: political freedom. JINSA Applauds Shift in Policy Freezing U.S. Military Aid to Lebanese Armed Forces WASHINGTON – On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. has recently frozen military aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), a move that is being applauded by the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). The position recently adopted by the U.S. reflects fears over the growing influence of Hezbollah and demonstrates the paramount concern the administration places upon the security of its ally Israel. JINSA has been calling upon the administration to make this vital policy shift since May 2010 and has often stood as a lone voice of opposition to U.S. commitments to assist the LAF. “Coming on the heels of last summer’s congressional efforts to block the disbursement of U.S. military aid to Lebanon, this policy shift solidifies American opposition to Hezbollah’s role in the LAF and the inadequate system of accounting for U.S. weapons that may fall into the hands of terrorists. Before the U.S. can commit further military aid to the LAF, it must prove itself to be a responsible actor by demonstrating complete independence from Hezbollah and stopping the flow of weapons into Lebanon in violation of Security Council Resolution 1701. In the absence of these conditions being met, JINSA warmly welcomes this long overdue policy shift.” Posted by Pamela Geller on Tuesday, April 05, 2011 at 11:46 AM in Lebanon Jihad | Permalink | Comments (8) ShareThisNYC PROTEST GREEK, ARMENIAN, ASSYRIAN GENOCIDES BY ISLAMIC JIHAD

We are 9/11 family members and group leaders who feel that all 2, 749 relatives of the victims deserve to have a voice, and a choice in the final disposition of the human remains of their loved ones. We also affirm that while a number of 9/11 families have supported returning the remains to GZ, they never agreed to placement in a museum, 70 ft. below ground (Please see complete list of family signatories following the letter, below.)

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg
The City of New York
Office of the Mayor
New York, NY 10007
Dear Mayor Bloomberg:
We represent a group of 9/11 family members whose loved ones died at Ground Zero. We write because our clients have serious objections as to New York City’s plans to incorporate the human remains found at Ground Zero as a “programmatic element” located some 70 feet below ground within the National September 11 Memorial Museum (“Museum”). Our clients believe, as do numerous museum curators, that this use of the remains is inappropriate and, indeed, inconsistent with the underlying purpose of the Museum, which is to educate the public about the events of 9/11. In 2003, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation committed to a memorial, including a repository for unidentified human remains that was to be “distinct from other memorial structures like a museum or visitors center.” Placement of the human remains within the Museum is completely contradictory to the LMDC’s criteria that was supported by many 9/11 family members.
Our clients particularly object because the families of the victims were not consulted about this current plan. They believe that many of the 9/11 family members will agree that the remains should be placed in a respectful and accessible location at the World Trade Center site, separate from the Museum, akin to the Tomb of the Unknowns, where both they and the public could go to pay their respects to loved ones. Indeed, those who passed in the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11 are honored in this way at Arlington National Cemetery, and family members of those who died at Ground Zero have a similar interest in such a collective memorial.
Given this, our clients propose drafting a letter, addressed to the family members of the 2,749 World Trade Center victims, seeking their input with respect to the disposition of the remains. Such a letter would be prepared wholly at our clients’ expense but, because the City possesses the addresses of these families, we would ask the City to mail the letters out (again, at our clients’ expense) rather than seek these addresses through the Freedom of Information Law or otherwise. In this way, the City bears no cost, but those who lost family members at Ground Zero would have the opportunity to be heard regarding the disposition of the human remains of their loved ones.
Contrary to your reported comments made yesterday about this issue, we believe that the vast majority of the 9/11 Families are not aware of the current plan and were not consulted about placing the 9/11 remains in the Museum, 70 feet below ground.
Please let us know if this proposal is acceptable to you or if you have any other suggestions as to how 9/11 family members could be consulted in this process. We will call you tomorrow regarding this request, and appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,
Norman Siegel

Where are these young people on gender apartheid, clitorectomies, ethnic cleansing, Islamic imperialism? Where are these bots on the cultural annihilations, jihadi wars and enslavements? What manipulated maroons. I mean, really. They really need a semester in Yemen or Somalia or Gaza or Mecca (oh, that's right, no non-Muslims allowed).Calling Israel "this generation's South Africa," SJP vows to do for contemporary Palestinians what the anti-apartheid campaign did for blacks in South Africa. Toward that end, SJP exhorts college students to help punish the "Apartheid State of Israel" by demanding that their schools divest their financial assets from all companies that conduct business there. SJP has staged campus protests against Starbucks, General Electric, Disney, and scores of other companies.
SJP members, who denounce what they term the Israeli-sponsored "concentration camps" wherein Palestinians are purportedly forced to live, harass Jewish students when they emerge from campus synagogues. In one incident after a rally at San Francisco State University (SFSU), SJP supporters surrounded a small group of Jewish students and incited violence while shouting such epithets as, "Too bad Hitler didn't finish the job!" On April 9, 2002 (Holocaust Remembrance Day), pro-Palestinian groups at SFSU protested Israel's occupation of the West Bank and then circulated posters depicting Jews eating Christian babies. That same day, SJP members held a rally and a sit-in on the Berkeley campus, resulting in 79 arrests. Pro-Palestinian protests also erupted on several other campuses that same day, involving nearly 10,000 students at Ohio State, the University of Minnesota, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Carnegie Mellon University. In November 2002, Yale University's SJP set up a mock Israeli checkpoint on campus, harassing Jewish students with cardboard rifles.
A co-founder of the Berkeley SJP is Snehal Shingavi, a graduate student who gained notoriety in 2001 for teaching a controversial course called "The Politics and Poetics of Palestinian Resistance." Explaining that his instruction would focus on "Israel's brutal oppression of Palestine since 1948," Shingavi in the course catalog urged conservative students not to bother registering for his class.
SJP's national conference at the University of Michigan in November 2002 was sponsored by the Islamic Association for Palestine, a now-defunct, Illinois-based front group for the terrorist organization Hamas. The conference also featured keynote speaker Sami Al-Arian, a former professor at the University of South Florida who was the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad operations in North America.
SJP’s version of Israel’s founding and history, and of the Palestinian people’s relationship with Israel, reads as follows:
“Military occupation has come to define the lives of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza since 1967. The Israeli military has governed Palestinians’ lives arbitrarily through the use of checkpoints scattered within Palestinian lands, Jewish-only roads, land confiscations, home demolitions, arbitrary curfews, and illegal extra-judicial executions….
“In 2002, the Israeli government announced its plans to build what it termed a ‘security barrier’ encapsulating the West Bank. While this wall ostensibly was built out of security concerns, it is not built along the ‘border’ between the West Bank and Israel, but rather in large part on land within the West Bank. This land grab has had disastrous consequences, isolating towns and villages from other communities and separating farmers from their lands and livelihoods….
“While most discussions about the Palestinians tend to focus on the peope living in Gaza and the West Bank, it is worth noting that Palestinians also account for 20% of the Israeli population by citizenship. While many of Israel’s crudest supporters tokenize them for their own political ends, the truth is that while these Palestinians have many of the benefits of Israeli citizenship–including the right to vote and participate in political institutions–they also face a number of institutional and social barriers that clearly demarcate them as second-class citizens who are unwanted by a state which excludes them from the national identity….
“The parallel between contemporary Israel and apartheid South Africa is striking. From visible efforts to separate Palestinians from Israelis, as well as a humiliating, indifferent, and inhumane security state system, to strong similarities in the rhetorics (sic) used by Israel and apartheid South Africa, it is evident that the Israeli system of controlling the Palestinian people and maintaining Jewish control over the state apparatus matches many of apartheid South Africa’s goals of maintaining White control over the government as well as the indigenous African populations.”LOOK TO THE 19TH CENTURY
