Palestinian forces unite against Israel, U.S.

American-backed PA shares ‘operations room’ with terrorist Hamas

By Aaron Klein, WorldNetDaily

TEL AVIV – The so-called military wing of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah organization has formed a common operations room with the Hamas terrorist organization, according to information obtained by WND.

Sources inside the Palestinian militant apparatus told WND of a meeting that took place last week in the Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis between Hamas’ so-called military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam, and the Gaza branch of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the “military wing” of Abbas’ U.S.-backed Fatah party.

At the meeting, the decision was taken to open what the sources called a common operations room. The sources claimed the cooperation was aimed at fending off any Israeli operation inside the Gaza Strip, where Hamas has recently increased its firing of rockets into nearby Israeli population centers.

Muslims and Moral Handicaps

- Daniel Greenfield

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wants an investigation into Koran burning. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer suggested that this form of free speech could be banned. Senator Lindsey Graham is also looking for ways to limit free speech, saying, “Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war”.

Free speech is more than a great idea, it’s a fundamental freedom untouchable by legislators. But all it takes is a few Muslim murders— and Reid, Breyer and Graham eagerly hold up their lighters to the Constitution. Free speech has been curtailed before in the United States during a time of war—but only free speech sympathetic to the enemy. During WW1 a suspected German propagandist filmmaker was jailed. But could anyone have imagined anti-German propagandists being jailed? The Wilson administration was behaving unconstitutionally, but not insanely.

Today we aren’t jailing filmmakers who traffic in anti-American propaganda in wartime. If we did that half...

Facing down Facebook fiends

By Rachel Raskin-Zrihen

Like in most of the Arab world, agitators are using Facebook to organize something in Israel – but it’s something the nature of which, I think, could produce an unprecedented calamity.

A few days ago, a Facebook page was taken down after company officials were made aware that is was calling on Palestinians to “take up arms against Israel,” Associated Press reported.

Despite its removal, Palestinian Authority activists recreated the “Third Intifada” page soon afterwards, the story says. But now it’s “hidden” in a Muslim page “innocuously entitled ‘Make the Prophet Number One on Facebook,’” and a “Muslim page similarly entitled ‘Subscribe now to the Palestinian Intifada,’ on its logo but which on the heading is listed under Non-profit Organizations,” AP reported.

The site directs visitors to another page which calls for Arabs from across the Middle East to invade Israel en masse on May 15 and kill Jews, AP reports.

No More Dhimmitude

By Andrew C McCarthy, NRO

I would instead like to draw attention to the repugnant statement issued by General David Petraeus and NATO Ambassador Mark Sedwill:

KABUL, Afghanistan (April 3, 2011) – In view of the events of recent days, we feel it is important on behalf of ISAF [i.e., the International Security Assistance Force] and NATO members in Afghanistan to reiterate our condemnation of any disrespect to the Holy Qur’an and the Muslim faith. We condemn, in particular, the action of an individual in the United States who recently burned the Holy Qur’an.??

We also offer condolences to the families of all those injured and killed in violence which occurred in the wake of the burning of the Holy Qur’an.??

We further hope the Afghan people understand that the actions of a small number of individuals, who have been extremely disrespectful to the Holy Qur’an, are not representative of any of the countries of the international community who are in Afghanistan to...

Pop-ups

By Ted Belman

A few months ago, readers of Israpundit were plagued by the appearance of numerous pop-ups.

I asked Andrew Jaffee to correct the problem if he could. He reports,

“It took a monumental effort, but I finally figured out why you were getting the popup ads. I had to do a lot of research and scan hundreds of lines of code”

Evidently the codes got embedded in WordPress when I updated some of the widgets it uses.

My thanks for all his work.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO iSRAPUNDIT, SO i CAN COMPENSATE HIM FOR HIS SUCCESSFUL EFFORTS.
