Searchlight Opinion Poll 31 March, 2011

Their research highlighted a remarkable poll which found that only 12% of the public think that immigration has changed their local community for the better. Given that 11% are themselves foreign born this is a remarkably low figure.

Judicial Review in the Tribunal 30 March, 2011

A recent ministerial statement by Jonathan Djanogly MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice, extends the process of bringing asylum and immigration appeals within the unified Tribunal system established under the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007.

Intra Company Transfers - Good for the employer, bad for the Treasury 21 March, 2011

Tax and National Insurance rules are heavily biased towards Intra Company Transfers (ICTs) to the dis-advantage of UK workers. This deprives the Treasury of revenue andencourages companies to use the visa system to replace UK workers on cost grounds.
