Glenn devotes another whole show to Israel, with guest Nir Barkat, Mayor of Jerusalem

Glenn announces ‘Restoring Courage’ in Israel in August, and mentioned that he spoke with Rabbi Riskin while he was in Israel last week. [I assume he was referring to Rabbi Shlomo Riskin]
The last 2 short segments are not about Israel

Coming this summer: ‘Restoring Courage’ in Israel

Monday, May 16, 2011

Last summer we set out to Restore Honor in Washington, DC. This summer it is time to Restore Courage. Taking a stand is not always easy, but now more than ever it is imperative that we live with conviction and do the right thing. It is time for us to courageously stand with Israel.

“I invite you to join me in Israel this summer to stand together and show the world what living a life of faith and honor really means. I invite you to join me in my quest to Restore Courage,” Glenn said.

On radio, Glenn said, “We have gone to the capitals of our states and to the capitals of our government. We have talked to all the power brokers. The only power broker, the only seat of government that can and will solve this problem with or without us is God. It is time to return inside the walls that surround Jerusalem and stand with people of all faiths, all around the world,”

“In August, whether I’m there with seven people or 10 people or there alone, I will be counted and I will stand. I ask you to join me. I also ask you to take this message globally, to take this to every corner of the earth. If you have family living overseas, this is not an America solution. This is a people of faith solution. This is a people all over the world solution. I ask you to help get this word out.”

Glenn Beck announces ‘Restoring Courage’ rally in Israel this August

Glenn Beck is standing for the good. This is righteous. G-d bless this man. Why aren't any of the Republican candidates taking a bold stance like this?

Standing with Israel is rational, humane and civilized. Israel is the best indicator of a man's moral compass. The Republican candidate better show political will, or he/she will fail.

The motives behind Glenn Beck’s recent trip to Israel now make more sense with his announcement Monday morning that he will be holding a major rally in Israel this summer.

“I believe I’ve been asked to stand — in Jerusalem,” Beck [t]old his audience recounting a list of times in history when people and nations failed to stand with the Jewish people. Beck explained, as he has often in the last year, how the life and thinking of the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer has influenced him : “He asked people to stand for the Jewish people.” He told of Bonhoeffer’s call for pastors to stand with him. Only six did.

Beck detailed current challenges facing the nation — “Things in Israel are going to get bad…it’s only a matter of time.”

“They are going to attack the center of our faith, our common faith, and that is Jerusalem. And it won’t be with bullets or bombs. It will be with a two-state solution that cuts off Jerusalem, the old city, to the rest of the world.”

“It is time to return inside the walls that surround Jerusalem and stand with people of all faiths all around the world.”

The event will unfold under the designation ‘Restoring Courage,‘ with a clear intention that it serve as a step forward from last summer’s ‘Restoring Honor’ rally held on 8/28 in Washington, D.C.

Beck explained that final dates and details are still coming together. He expect that there will be a full week of activities in Israel. There will also be ways for people to participate from here in the United States.

As full details become available they will be posted on Beck’s e-mail newsletter.

Beck explained that a trip like this will be “really expensive” for anyone wanting to participate. He said his team has been working on putting together packages that will make the trip as affordable as possible for as many as possible.

“I don’t know how many people will come,” he said, “But if we can gather seven then we’ll have one more than Dietrich Bonhoeffer did.”
