Historic Climate Change Deal with Legal Powers Agreed by Cabinet

'Cabinet ministers have agreed a far-reaching, legally binding "green deal" that will commit the UK to two decades of drastic cuts in carbon emissions. The package will require sweeping changes to domestic life, transport and business and will place Britain at the forefront of the global battle against climate change.

The deal was hammered out after tense arguments between ministers who had disagreed over whether the ambitious plans to switch to more green energy were affordable. The row had pitted the energy secretary, Chris Huhne, who strongly backed the plans, against the chancellor, George Osborne, and the business secretary, Vince Cable, who were concerned about the cost and potential impact on the economy.'

A Judge Attacks my 'One-Sided' Child Protection Stories - But it Cuts Both Ways

'In March, the number of applications by social workers to take children into care set a new record: 882 in a single month. Over the past year, my reports on how our highly secretive “child protection” system seems, too often, to collude in seizing children without proper justification have provoked considerable irritation in a number of judges – and last week the judiciary hit back. Mr Justice Bellamy, presiding over a case to which I have referred several times, took the unusual course of publishing a judgment in which he was highly critical of me for my “unbalanced” and “inaccurate” reporting.

Then the head of the family courts, Lord Justice Wall, in his ruling on another case, swiftly endorsed Bellamy’s attack on me (despite his own earlier criticisms of the “shocking” determination of some social workers to place children in “an unsatisfactory care system”).'

Hitler and Bormann Were Traitors

'In the past, I have presented evidence that Martin Bormann, the man who signed Hitler's paycheck, was a Soviet i.e. Illuminati agent but I was not sure if Hitler was Bormann's dupe or also a conscious traitor. The testimony of General Reinhard Gehlen, chief of German intelligence gathering for Russia, suggests the latter is true.

In his memoirs, "The Service" (World Pub.1972) Gehlen says that he and Admiral Canaris, head of the Abwehr, suspected there was a traitor in the German Supreme Command. Both had noticed that the Soviets were receiving "rapid and detailed information .. on top level decision-making."

They both suspected Martin Bormann, the Deputy Fehrer and Head of the Nazi Party.'

Ban Mobile Phones and Wireless Networks in Schools, Say European Leaders

'A Council of Europe committee examined evidence that the technologies have "potentially harmful" effects on humans, and concluded that immediate action was required to protect children.

In a report, the committee said it was crucial to avoid repeating the mistakes made when public health officials were slow to recognise the dangers of asbestos, tobacco smoking and lead in petrol.

The report also highlighted the potential health risks of cordless telephones and baby monitors, which rely on similar technology and are widely used in British homes. Fears have been raised that electromagnetic radiation emitted by wireless devices can cause cancers and affect the developing brain.'
