Impotent Muslim Rage at Ann Barnhardt

Propaganda that displays impotent rage at an enemy is worse than no propaganda at all.

by Bill Levinson

The Islamic world has finally struck back at Ann Barnhardt with this YouTube video. IslamoBeavis stands in the background while his partner IslamoButthead displays the bottom of his foot with “USA” and a four-letter expletive written on it. These two mighty Islamic warriors then go on to draw heavy eyebrows, a beard, and devil’s horns on a picture of Ann Barnhardt. This underscores the fact that, when Islam is confronted with truth and factual arguments, it can do no more than scream like a petulant child who can’t get his way.

There is sometimes a place for propaganda that mocks the enemy but one must always think about how the enemy can turn our propaganda against us. As an example, the Nazis published leaflets for Germans that showed what would happen to blonde German women if Negro soldiers got their hands on them. Russian soldiers were actually a far...

The New York Slimes

How A New York Times Article Tells You Everything You Need to Know About the Israel-Palestinian Conflict By Being Full of False Information

By Barry Rubin, Rubin Reports

I don’t mean to keep picking on the New York Times but the problem is that the New York Times keeps picking on Israel. As usual, I have saved the truly funny treat for the end.

Actually, this is a pretty good article by the usual standards because it is so determined to be “even-handed.” On the one hand, there is Israel, a democratic state with a free media (that often criticizes the government) and that has video tape of the incident in question.

On the other hand, there is Syria, a dictatorship that censors all the news, controls all of the media, and is currently involved in murdering hundreds of its citizens. Incidentally, we could produce a dossier of past Syrian claims regarding the United States to measure the accuracy of its media and government’s assertions on this issue.

Call Democrats Out for Racist and Anti-Semitic Connections

By Bill Levinson

The Republican campaigns of 2006 and 2008 consisted of long litanies of dropping the ball when it comes to the Democrats’ vulnerabilities. I refer specifically to John McCain’s and Rick Santorum’s inexcusable failure to call their opponents out for indefensible racist, anti-Semitic, and/or anti-Catholic connections. Casey’s acceptance of MoveOn.org’s support should have disqualified him, especially in a state with a large Catholic population.

The Rise of the Post-American Empires

Sultan Knish

When the Utopians of the left talk about a Post-American world, they mean a great borderless globe ruled over by international law, where there are no more citizens or nations, just people who happen to enjoy working and living in New York, Shanghai or Islamabad. This digital jet setting globocratic version of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ is their envisioned outcome of globalization. No more governments. Only one single world girdling government.

But what the Utopians have never realized is that this vision is not universal, it springs from a Western liberal messianism that is big on faith in progressive government, and disdains national and tribal identities. And that means it is a vision that most of the globe does not share. And is never likely to share. The Utopians want an end to national power and cultural imperialism, but their globalist vision is cultural imperialism backed by national power.

The United Nations is a potemkin village backed up...

Poll: 77% of Israelis oppose pre-67 lines with small border adjustments for end of conflict

By Ted Belman. Given this poll what is there to talk about in negotiations. Obama is talking to both sides about restarting negotiations. France wants to hold an international conference. International leaders continue to argue that the region’s unrest make it imperative to make peace. But their arguments are without foundation. The Israelis have it right. Bibi stay strong. Don’t abandon the people.

By GIL HOFFMAN The Jerusalem Post

Large majorities recognize importance of keeping J’lem under Israeli sovereignty, oppose transferring Temple Mount to Palestinian control.

Seventy-seven percent of Israelis oppose returning to pre-1967 lines
the poll reads “with minor border adjustments”] even if it would lead to a peace agreement and declarations by Arab states of an end to their conflict with Israel, a poll revealed Monday.

A Dahaf Institute poll of a sample 500 Israelis taken last week was

IDF conversions and the Book of Ruth

By JJ GROSS , JPOST

Who may become a Jew? What should the criteria be for proper Jewish conversion? Which rabbis should the Jewish people trust? Israel is in constant conflict over these questions, as thousands of technically non-Jewish Soviet émigrés risk their lives for the Jewish state. Indeed, Russian immigrants are highly motivated and well-represented in IDF combat units and among its officers.

And so the IDF chaplaincy has seen fit to provide Jewish instruction and conversion to those young men and women in uniform who express serious interest in becoming bona fide members of the Jewish people – by adopting Jewish culture and traditions (and undergoing, in the case of males, circumcision) in order to live and die as Jews, to be married into the Jewish people and to be buried among their comrades should they, heaven forbid, be among those who make the ultimate sacrifice.

By contrast, civilian rabbinical courts – under the control of some anti-Zionist rabbis – have...

Shari’a and Violence in American Mosques

Mordechai Kedar and David Yerushalmi:

… Among the behaviors observed at the mosques and scored as Shari’a-adherent were: (a) women wearing the hijab (head covering) or niqab (full-length shift covering the entire female form except for the eyes); (b) gender segregation during mosque prayers; and (c) enforcement of straight prayer lines. Behaviors that were not scored as Shari’a-adherent included: (a) women wearing just a modern hijab, a scarf-like covering that does not cover all of the hair, or no covering; (b) men and women praying together in the same room; and (c) no enforcement by the imam, lay leader, or worshipers of straight prayer lines. …
