The European Union has enfeebled our parliamentary democracy. This Bruges Group meeting has three important MPs who will discuss the EU and its undermining of our democracy.
The author, environmental journalist and the Conservative Member of Parliament for Richmond Park,
Zac Goldsmith MP, will speak at this meeting alongside Kate Hoey MP, a former Labour Minister. David Nuttall MP, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Bury North; who was formerly a lawyer and local government Councillor will also address this event.

Zac Goldsmith MP
Zac Goldsmith is an author, environmental journalist and the Conservative Member of Parliament for Richmond Park. He re-launched the Ecologist magazine, of which he was Editor-in-Chief and Director, and trebled its circulation.
He has written for a number of newspapers including;
The Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Observer, and The Telegraph. He is also a contributor to magazines such as the New Statesman and Quintessentially Magazine.

Zac is a Eurosceptic and an advocate of direct democracy.


Kate Hoey MP
Kate Hoey is the Labour Member of Parliament for Vauxhall. She served as the Minister for Sport from 1999 until 2001. Kate was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Home Office from 1998 to 1999. Born in Belfast she is a strong supporter of the Union.

Kate Hoey is Chairman of the Countryside Alliance. As a longstanding Eurosceptic she was a leading Labour rebel supporting a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Kate also opposed the plan for the introduction of ID cards.


David Nuttall MP
David Nuttall is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Bury North. Prior to entering the House of Commons he was a lawyer and local government Councillor.

Despite only entering Parliament in 2010, according to the blog
Conservativehome David is amongst the most rebellious of Conservative MPs. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Better Off Out group.
