Fouad Ajami: UN Can't Deliver Palestinian State

A must-read essay--here--by Fouad Ajami, professor of Middle East Studies at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Some Chinese Fighting to Save Dogs From Slaughter

China's horrific culture of animal cruelty, including centuries of abusing--and eating--dogs, is at long last meeting with meaningful internal opposition. As this article shows, there is hope....

Meanwhile, the barbarians of what U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama insists on calling "the Muslim world" persist in their sadistic abuse and willful neglect of dogs. Notice how the ignorant rabble of "the Arab Street" habitually call their enemies "dogs."

Fact is, dogs are noble and beautiful and amazingly intelligent and sensitive animals. And the bond--the awesome relationship--between humans and dogs is both truly unique and incredibly inspiring. If not for humans, after all, there would be no dogs. They are derived from wolves; and few relationships are so mutually beneficial and mysterious as that which exists between dogs and humans, dating back thousands of years. Dogs fill our lives with love; they entertain and comfort and serve us in countless ways.

No question about it: the life of any ordinary dog is far more precious and worthy of respect than the life of any hate-filled Islamist.

Sarah Palin is a True Friend of Israel

At a time when Israel is increasingly isolated and threatened ... and many American Jews are too timid ... or too assimilated ... or too indoctrinated by the Left ... to stand firmly with Israel ... the liberal and generally Islamist-appeasing NBC TV network reports:

You couldn’t miss it, the big Star of David hanging around Sarah Palin’s neck as she toured the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on Wednesday.

NBC New York asked Palin about the significance just as she boarded her bus outside Fox Newschannel to head off to Boston.

“Today is the 44th anniversary of Jerusalem being reunited,” she said. “We want to call attention to that.”

The pendant is in every photo she took with fans and supporters and can be seen in every sound-bite captured by television crews.

Sarah Palin is smart and courageous--and incredibly cool--and her show of support for embattled Israel could not be more meaningful and significant. Whereas for Palin Jerusalem Day is a cause for celebration, there is no doubt--you can bet on it--that the anniversary of Jerusalem's liberation and unification is a day of mourning in the pro-Islamist Obama White House, as Samantha Power and other anti-Israel advisors go about their business of plotting and planning the dismemberment of the Jewish State.

Jerusalem 1936, Jerusalem 1967

Never again shall the city be divided: Jerusalem, capital of the miraculously reborn State of Israel and the Jewish people since Biblical times.

53% of Americans See Cyberattack as Act of War

Most Americans see a major cyberattack on America's computer networks as an act of war that calls for forceful military reaction. Click here for the story.

FOREIGN CONFIDENTIAL™ COMMENT: Given North Korea's cyberwar capabilities, nuclear weapons, long-range missiles, development of cargo ship-based ballistic missile launch systems, and partnership with Islamist Iran ... and America's vulnerability to EMP attacks ... the stage is being set for a potentially catastrophic conflict.

Why is Washington Pouring Money into Egypt, Tunisia?

BILLIONS FOR ISLAMIZING COUNTRIES

The plain truth: Globalizing American elites and liberal media prefer "the Arab street" over Main Street.

For millions of Americans the country is not merely poised to plunge back into a recession; the country is already in a depression.
