While perusing the international media one is forced to face the fact that the USA has a “bad press”. Defamatory talk regarding America is an accepted standard and its allegations are regarded as self-evident in certain circles. Doing the same would provoke censure if used to characterize a third world state. This has been the case for decades. The attitude thrives thanks to the cooperation of the Left and the extreme Right. It is therefore an oddity that most Americans whose weakness is to like to be liked, are surprised when they occasionally confront the facts they like to suppress. America Praised And Cursed
