The Palestinization of Europe. Berlin, no less. The protestors in the anti-Israel rally were faced by hundreds of Israel fans who also arrived at the site Police in the German capital deployed in force to separate the two camps and prevent violent clashes. The Islamic march was led by Iranian clerics, accompanied by anti-Zionist Neturei Karta Jews living in Europe. "What's taking place in Israel is a Shoah for the Palestinians," one of the radical ultra-Orthodox Jews, Rabbi Beck, told Ynet. "We are waiting for the day Zionism collapses, and then Jews and Muslims would be able to live side by side in peace." While the rabbi spoke, protestors behind him were chanting "Allahu Akbar" and "Israel is a terrorist." The Muslim protestors held up banners accusing Israel of committing war crimes, as well as photographs of late Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini. They chanted "Freedom for Palestine" and "End the killing of civilians in Gaza." More coverage here. It was with much fanfare and lies that UN resolution 1701 was hailed as having ended the Islamic war against Israel in the summer of 2006. The ceasefire (hudna) that ended the Islamic war of aggression was a failure. It did not achieve its promised goal of disarming the Hezbollah guerrilla organization in Lebanon; nor did it make good on the fallacious promise to return the kidnapped Jewish soldiers. Gilad Shalit rots in an Islamic torture chamber .........six long years. UN Security Council resolution 1701 ended the month-long 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which broke out after the latter abducted two Jewish soldiers in a cross-border raid. Gilad Shalit spends his sixth birthday in captivity and the world stands silent. As they stood silent during the holocaust. Obama stands silent. Worse, he aids and abets the coming of the second holocaust. Shame on those who stand silent. You think you are safe? You are next. Gilad Shalit was 19 when he was captured The British Jewish community has joined international efforts to highlight Gilad Shalit's continued captivity as the soldier marks his sixth birthday since he was kidnapped by Hamas. Sergeant Shalit, who was 19 when he was captured in Israel by Hamas terrorists while he was guarding the border with Gaza, turns 25 on Sunday. The Board of Deputies of British Jews used the anniversary to reiterate the demand for his "immediate and unconditional release" and to urge the Red Cross to increase its efforts to gain access to him. The Board also highlighted the facts that Sergeant Shalit had consistently been denied contact with his family, visits from the Red Cross and independent medical care. "His treatment well demonstrates the criminal and barbarous nature of Hamas and their callous disregard for the rules of normal human decency and international law," the Board said in a statement. "We demand that the British government, along with its EU counterparts and the international community, apply substantial pressure to Hamas to end Gilad's plight to ensure that this birthday will be the last one which he spends in captivity." The Board recently launched the "Faces for Gilad" awareness campaign and has written to other religious organisations appealing for support. On Facebook, a group started by British Jew Elliot Jebreel to mark Sergeant Shalit's birthday has attracted nearly 1,000 supporters. On the group, Mr Jebreel posted campaign information and wrote: "For the sake of his family, let's do all we can to bring him home". In Israel, Sergeant Shalit's parents wrote an open letter to their son on his birthday. Noam and Aviva Shalit wrote: "'We know that every day that passes is another nightmarish day of impossible suffering, days and nights of suffocating endless loneliness. "But we do not forget you." Next Tuesday, the soldier will be named an honorary citizen of Pittsburgh, in a move to raise awareness and encourage solidarity. Sergeant Shalit has now been missing for more than five years and 60 days.
Yesterday I posted on the horrors in Tripoli. A reasoned few have been questioning the objectives of US involvement in Libya (as far back as March), and I have, for months now, been pointing to the jihadist elements in opposition/rebel camps (here in March andApril). Qaddafi was a monster, but there are worse monsters. We are losing North Africa to the universal caliphate. The sharia constitution institutes the most brutal and oppressive ideology on the face of the earth. Sophia over Uddebatt sent this in (comments are hers): NATO and US has helped, guided and armed LIFG with advanced weapons under the command of Abd Al-Hakim Belhadj, an al Qaeda veteran, to take control of Tripoli. [Comment: No armed to the teeth with the hardware seized from Qaddafi's arsenals.] “Members of the Al Qaeda-linked Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – LIFG, are in control of the former strongholds of Muammar Qaddafi captured by Libyan rebels last Sunday, Aug. 21, reports from sources in Libya. They are fighting under the command of Abd Al-Hakim Belhadj, an al Qaeda veteran from Afghanistan whom the CIA captured in Malaysia in 2003 and extradited six years later to Libya where Qaddafi held him in prison. Belhadj is on record as rejecting any political form of coexistence with the Crusaders excepting jihad. His brigades were the principal rebel force in the operation for the capture of Qaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya ruling compound on Aug. 23. Saturday, Aug. 27, those brigades overran the Abu Salim district of southern Tripoli taking it from the last pro-Qaddafi holdouts in the city. Many of the prisoners released from the local jail belonged to al Qaeda. The LIFG chief now styles himself "Commander of the Tripoli Military Council." Asked by our sources whether they plan to hand control of the Libyan capital to the National Transitional Council, which has been recognized in the West, the jihadi fighters made a gesture of dismissal without answering. [Comment – The whole takeover was helped by CIA bribing Qaddafis Tripoli commanders to abandon the defences of the city and his Bab al-Aziziya stronghold as the Western-led rebels advanced.] According to US and British media, at least half of the members of the NTC have moved from Benghazi to Tripoli, the key condition for the receipt of Qaddafi's frozen assets and international aid. But there is no confirmation from our sources that this has happened. [Comment - What has happened is that they are flown in to Tripoli for photo ops and then they are taken back to Benghazi. To give the appearance that they are in control.] Tripoli is rife with disorder, awash with weapons and prey to reciprocal allegations of atrocities. Our sources doubt that the council will be able to assert control of - or even a presence in - Tripoli any time soon. US intelligence sources in Tripolisee no sign that the NTC will be able to persuade the Islamist brigades to relinquish control of the city in the near future - or even lay down arms. Those arms are advanced items which British and French special operations forces gave the rebels, said a senior American source. Had those NATO contingents not led the Tripoli operation, the rebels unaided would not have captured Qaddafi's centers of government. A week after that dramatic episode, Tripoli's institutions of government have wound up in the hands of fighting Islamist brigades belonging to al Qaeda, who are now armed to the teeth with the hardware seized from Qaddafi's arsenals. No Western or Libyan military force can conceive of dislodging the Islamists from the Libyan capital in the foreseeable future. Libya has thus created a new model which can only hearten the Islamist extremists eyeing further gains from the Arab Revolt. They may justly conclude that NATO will come to their aid for a rebellion to topple any autocratic Arab ruler. The coalition of British, French, Qatari and Jordanian special forces, with quiet US intelligence support, for capturing Tripoli and ousting Qaddafi, almost certainly met with US President Barack Obama's approval. For the first time, therefore, the armies of Western members of NATO took part directly in a bid by extremist Islamic forces to capture an Arab capital and overthrow its ruler. An attempt to vindicate the way this NATO operation has turned out is underway. Western media are being fed portrayals of the rebel leadership as a coherent and responsible political and military force holding sway from Benghazi in the east up to the Tunisian border in the west. This depiction is false. Our military sources report that the bulk of rebel military strength in central and western Libya is not under NTC command, nor does it obey orders from rebel headquarters in Benghazi. This chaotic situation in rebel ranks underscores the importance of the effort the NTC has mounted to capture Sirte, Qaddafi's home town, where most of his support is concentrated. Control of Sirte, which lies between Benghazi and Tripoli, will provide the NTC and its leader Abdul Jalil, with a counterweight for the pro-Al Qaeda brigades in control of the capital.”
Such goodness will incite more hatred and violence from the evil.

IDF rescues Palestinians during mortar attack on Erez Crossing MFA
Several mortar shells hit the Erez Crossing, just as three Palestinian women and two infants were crossing back into the Gaza Strip after receiving medical treatment in Israel.
On Thursday night (August 25th), the terror organizations from the Gaza Strip continued launching rockets and mortar shells towards Israel.
During the attack several mortar shells hit the Erez Crossing, just as three Palestinian women and two infants were crossing back into the Gaza Strip after receiving medical treatment in Israel, causing damage to the crossing's infrastructure and an electrical shutdown. The power outage disabled gates at the crossing. Two of the women passed through safely but a third woman, along with her infant daughter, got caught between two disabled gates while rockets were falling.
The commander of the Erez crossing and another security officer rescued the woman and her daughter. All of the Palestinian women were brought to a protected shelter at the crossing where they were given a meal for the end of the daily Ramadan fast.
The squad of terrorists that fired a mortar shell hitting the Erez Crossing was targeted shortly afterwards by an IAF aircraft, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip have fired over 15 rockets and mortars at Israel on Thursday, causing severe damage to the Erez Crossing.
