Norman Finkelstein Confirms Female Internationals Serve as “Comfort Women” for Palestinians

Norman Finkelstein eyewitness to male Palestinians’ selection of young female activists for sexual gratification
by Bill Levinson

We previously reported that the function of female peace activists (or “piece activists”) from the International Solidarity Movement and similar organizations is to serve as what the Imperial Japanese Army called “comfort women” for Palestinian males. Norman Finkelstein, who is hardly a friend of Israel, confirms in writing that this is in fact the case.

Having just spent several months perusing Mahatma Gandhi’s collected works, and deeply inspired by his commitment to living the life of the impoverished masses, I had resolved to rough it in Gaza. But this was easier said than done. Along with several other delegates I volunteered to stay at a Palestinian family’s home rather than a hotel. Dressed to the nines, hair gelled, and reeking of cologne, several Palestinian youths met our group to select their home-stays....

Will taking from the rich and giving to the ‘middle class’ produce ‘social justice?’ You don’t have to study economics to know that ‘there are no free lunches.’ No matter how it is done it is going to hurt somebody somewhere.

By Moshe Arens, HAARETZ

For a moment you might have thought that Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest was stalking Rothschild Boulevard – he who robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. Except that unlike Robin Hood, the campers in their tents on Rothschild Boulevard and other places in Israel want to take from the rich and give to the “middle class.” “The people want social justice” they cry in unison, coached by whoever is on the platform.

Will taking from the rich and giving to the “middle class” produce “social justice?” Or maybe there is an easier way, by taking from the ultra-Orthodox, or from the settlers in Judea and Samaria, and giving to the “middle...

The Children of Edward Said

By David Solway In Daily Mailer,FrontPage

There is a fascinating passage from the Koran, surah 101, its initial lines variously translated as “The Disaster! What is the Disaster?” (N.J. Dawood, The Koran), “The Crashing Blow. What is the Crashing Blow?” (M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, The Qur’an), “The day of Noise and Clamor. What is the day of Noise and Clamor?” (Abdullah Yusuf Ali, The Meaning of The Holy Qur’an), and so on. The Arabic term in question, Al-Qaria, is also translated as “the Clatterer”, giving us the most enigmatic version of all, which can be rendered as “The Clatterer! What is the Clatterer? And what shall teach thee what is the Clatterer?” (See the online version of Abdul Daryabadi). Here below is a very readable reproduction from an Arabic/English Facebook site:

    The Clatterer—
    what is the Clatterer?
And what teaches thee what the Clatterer is?
The day that men shall be like scattered moths,
and the mountains shall be like carded...

Since the 2006 election of the conservative politician Stephen Harper as prime minister, Canada has become arguably the most pro-Israel country in the world

By Jordan Michael Smith

Benjamin Netanyahu and Stephen Harper on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario, on May 31, 2010, the day Israeli commandos stormed the Mari Mava.

Post columnist Charles Krauthammer was speaking at a fundraiser for the United Jewish Appeal’s Israel Emergency Campaign in a Toronto hotel. Before an audience of 2,500, Krauthammer extolled the virtues of those leaders who were supporting Israel in the conflict then under way with Hezbollah in Lebanon. He singled out for praise Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was showing great leadership in openly siding with Israel, he said. At the mere mention of Harper, who was not in attendance, Krauthammer’s audience suddenly burst into furious applause, as though its collective gratitude for the prime minister had finally been articulated for...

Why Sarah Palin will be the next President

Conquering the Storm
by Sarah Palin on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:53am.

In the coming days we’ll sort through the repercussions of S&P’s downgrade of our credit rating, including concerns about the impact a potential interest rate increase would have on our ability to service our suffocating $14.5 trillion debt.

I’m surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P’s decision. Weren’t people paying attention over the last year or so when we were getting warning after warning from various credit rating agencies that this was coming? I’ve been writing and speaking about it myself for quite some time.

Back in December 2010, I wrote:

“If the European debt crisis teaches us anything, it’s that tomorrow always comes. Sooner or later, the markets will expect us to settle the bill for the enormous Obama-Pelosi-Reid spending binge. We’ve already been warned by the credit ratings agency Moody’s that unless we get serious about reducing our...

US Funds PA, Money Goes to Terrorist Prisoner Salaries

PMW: Members of the U.S. Congress last week were given documentation on the PA’s support for imprisoned terrorists.

While the Palestinian Authority bemoans its cash-strapped state and pleads with donor nations to make good on their pledges, its government continues to pay monthly salaries to convicted terrorists serving time in Israeli prisons.

The report was presented by the Palestinian Media Watch, a watchdog group that translates Arabic-language newspaper articles and broadcasts. The organization enables people around the world to see the difference between the claims PA leaders make in English and Hebrew in public forums, and their statements to their constituents in their own language.

The report informed the lawmakers that the PA government is using funds from its general budget to pay the monthly salaries of the imprisoned PA Arab and Israeli Arab terrorists under a law passed in April that simply “formalizes what has long been a PA practice.”

The total amount spent...
