Returning to Israel after traversing nearly the entirety of the US can provide quite a sobering perspective on the challenges we face back home in Israel. The Jewish People are still reeling from the devastating barrage of murderous terror we faced, yesterday, throughout the country. Nazi Parties are sprouting up in Egypt, the pan-Slavik "Cossaks" which many thought were relegated to the dustbins of history are coming back with a vengeance, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Every day we are being vilified throughout the world for one reason or another, and it seems that the list of our friends and allies is getting shorter and shorter. And in sharp contrast to this ever increasing condemnation and persecution we face, there are those few righteous among the nations who are boldly coming to our defense. This week, Glenn Beck is foremost among them as he hosts "Restoring Courage" rallies throughout the country. We hosted an event in South Carolina which was quite unique and ended up generating quite a bit of attention. In the wake of the unparalleled pro-Israel legislation passed in that State just a few days prior, we invited the State Representative who authored the legislation to join us on the program and share his reasoning, inspiration, and motivation with us. We were so moved by this unique initiative and shocked at the dearth of media coverage it was getting around the country, that we reach out to numerous media outlets to cover this South Carolina legislative phenomena and the only one to pick it up was Glenn Beck. And this is not an anomaly - he was the only one to focus on the Fogel family massacre day after day and he is the only one coming to Israel with a message of support and encouragement. There are those throughout the Jewish world who are sounding the alarms and voicing their displeasure with many of these professed "friends of Israel". And with some of them, they may have a point.
