Vicious Cruelty to Animals Central to Militant Islam

by Bill Levinson

Canine Cruelty By Our ‘Afghan Allies’ reports how militant Muslims engage in sadistic cruelty to dogs, which they justify by calling dogs “unclean.” From where we sit, militant Muslims resent dogs because of dogs’ obvious superiority and greater utility to Civilization.

Wylie, the Afghan mutt, was rescued in February by a convoy of British soldiers on patrol in a Kandahar bazaar, where a dog-fighting crowd was beating the smaller dog with lumps of wood to force the last fight out of him.

…Two weeks later Jensz received another call. Local dog fighters had cut off Wylie’s ears and had scalped him in the process, before using the same homemade knife to cut his muzzle wide open from his nose to under his eye. He was patched up again by Jensz and a team of Australian Defence Force doctors only to return from his perilous forays outside the base with new injuries — a stab wound to the chest and a savagely docked tail.

Obama Orders Rick Perry to Choose His Words More Carefully

Who does Obama think he is–Joseph Stalin?
by Bill Levinson

Obama: Perry has to be ‘more careful’ with his words reports,

President Obama said GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry has “to be a little more careful” with his rhetoric and says he’ll cut the Texas governor some slack for suggesting the Federal Reserve is almost “treasonous.”

And what will you do, Barry the Buffoon, if Governor Perry tells you where you can put your “advice?” Lesson one in leadership: don’t give an order you don’t expect to be obeyed or, even worse, have no authority to issue in the first place.

Danon’s ‘annexation campaign’ set to begin

By GIL HOFFMAN, JPOST

Campaign calling for all of Judea and Samaria to be made part of the sovereign state of Israel to be launched on Facebook.

As the Palestinian Authority prepares to ask the United Nations General Assembly to declare a Palestinian state unilaterally, a pressure campaign will begin Wednesday asking Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to unilaterally annex the West Bank.

The campaign is the brainchild of Likud MK Danny Danon, who has sponsored a bill that would begin the process of making all of Judea and Samaria part of the sovereign state of Israel. The campaign will begin on Facebook, spread to top Israeli websites, and perhaps after that to the streets.

Danon: If Palestinians act unilaterally, so will we

“The campaign will call for the Israeli government to respond to the Palestinians’ unilateral step by taking a Zionist unilateral action of annexing the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria,”

The Likud legislator said the campaign was...

US conducts its own “price tag operations”.

US presses Israel to apologize to Turkey because

    1) she wishes to stabilize Israeli-Turkish relations as soon as possible

    2) “the deterioration in Jerusalem’s ties with Ankara is harming American interests in the region” and

    3) it would be difficult for the US to persuade other nations to reject the Palestinians’ UN statehood bid in September if Jerusalem refuses to apologize to Ankara.

Where have I heard that before. Pray tell, why are strengthened relations between Turkey and the US dependent on the apology of a third party or why does the absence of an apolgy affect the ability of the US to protect Israel in September.

This pressure is also directed to Barak who has been moved to provide
“goodwill gestures” such as allowing more weapons into Judea and Samaria and more.

The defense establishment also recommended increasing the water supply to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, granting permits for the construction of new...

For Iran, Syria out, Iraq in

With Syria out of the picture, Iran looking to Iraq as its new strategic ally

By Zvi Bar’el, HAARETZ

Iraq, which dropped from the international media radar because of the uprisings in Arab countries, is likely to become the hot spot of regional politics – and soon. While Bashar Assad’s regime fights for its life in Syria, Iran will probably seek a strategic alternative in the country that the United States is to exit by the end of the year. “The occupation of Iraq by the U.S. did only good things for Iran,” said Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi this week. “Iran became more influential than it ever dreamed.”

Iraq is Iran’s third largest trading partner after China and the United Arab Emirates, some $8 billion a year and growing. Last month, Iran signed a contract for the construction of a 2,500 kilometer long gas pipeline, which will cross Iraq and connect Iran to Syria. Iran has diplomatic representatives in...

Obama’s alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood

By Ted Belman

Barry Rubin recently wrote The revolutionary movement’s big split in which he expected the Sunnis, headed by the Muslim Brotherhood to to coalesce in opposition to Shiites lead by Iran. The MB is gaining control over Egypt, Hamas and soon Syria and Jordan.

I wrote to him suggesting that Obama was actively involved with promoting the Brotherhood as a strategy in transforming the Middle East and containing Iran. I have yet to hear from him.

My speculation was recently fuelled by reading Herb London’s U.S. Betrays Syria’s Opposition

In an effort to understand and placate Syrian opposition groups, Secretary Clinton invited them to a meeting in Washington. Most of those invited, however, have links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Missing from the invitations are Kurdish leaders, Sunni liberals, Assyrians and Christian spokesmen. According to various reports the State Department made a deal with Turkey and Muslim Brotherhood representatives either to share power...

Will Settlement Construction block peace?

It is good to have Abrams speaking out on the Bush policies and agreements to prevent Obama from ignoring them. He rightly points out that infilling in major settlement blocs will not be an “obstacle to peace” as Pres Reagan termed it. The real obstacle to peace is not allowing Israel build unrestricted in Judea and Samaria. This alone would put pressure on the PA to get serious about negotiating. As it is the PA can “negotiate” for the next hundred years while milking the international community and waging a diplomatic war against Israel. Ted Belman

by Elliott Abrams, CFR

If there is a single issue that explains the failure of Obama policy toward Israel, it is settlements. And this week the Administration once again indulged itself in a knee-jerk reaction that displayed incomprehension in a way that harms U.S.-Israeli relations without doing the slightest bit of good for the Palestinians.

This week Israel announced a plan to construct 277 more housing units in...
