Attacks on City of London

I have always said nothing will change vis a vis Britain and the EU until two things happen:-

1) the British people themselves wake up to the enormity of what is going on and want to change it; but which will never happen, as they are so stupid and comatose)

and,

2) the City of London's vast money-making-machine is compromised by interference from the EU with regulations making it difficult for them to make profits.

The first premise I have always recognised will never happen until the political elite want it to happen, because it is the political elite (and their financiers - read later) who control the media, and hence how the public are therefore manipulated (told) into "wanting" what they want.

The Great British Public don't make up their minds - that is a fallacy: they have their minds made up for them by the politicians, and are told what their minds should be. This manipulation of the public is exactly what you have experienced and describe so well.

The British public are far too stupid to see for themselves what is happening to do anything at all. I realised that over thirty years ago. They are fed information by the media - mainly by TV these days. The BBC in particular is a direct government propaganda machine, and government mouthpiece, to direct the British pea-brains into thinking they need to vote for particular issues the government wants. That was seen very clearly with the Iraq war and the Bliar / Alistair Campbell lies ("sexed-up" document) about "weapons of mass destruction which can be deployed within 20 minutes" nonsense spouted in Parliament (no less !) which got the Iraq war passed in Parliament and underway.

Note: you don't have to consider conspiracy theories - the indisputible facts are much more accessible and simple)

The second premise is one of the main driving forces which gives rise to the first.

Changes are required of the political elite before the manipulation of the British public can be exercised to obtain (1) and those changes have to come from those who control the political elite.

The politicians and their political parties in turn are controlled not by party leaders but by the _real_ political manipulators ....the big-money people in the City, and the International Corporate business people who are there in the City, who pay for (and thus control) the major political parties and politicians with bribes (such as company directorships) and with direct donations of £millions into party funds to get what they want.

Do not think for one moment the likes of idiot Cameroon or other so-called political party Leaders are in "control" of their parties - they are not - they are told what to do by the big money-rollers / financiers in the background. (If you doubt this - consider the likes of Murdoch and what he has done in the past - why do you think he was invited to No 10 by Tony Bliar so many times - especially just before General Elections? - just to say hello and play tiddleywinks?).

Well the City is indeed now under attack from the EU with the proposed financial directives on the futures trading markets (where 75% of all global trading is in London). The EU wants, like the Mafia that they are, their "skim" off the top - 1% of every transaction value - and for what? ... just because they say so! ...and greedily want it ...and now have the power to grab it; after Lisbon and Bliar giving away British vetos to Brussels. Also, whilst the Brussels thieves are at it destroying the London financial markets, they are no doubt doing it for the benefit of the German and French financial markets as they have always jealously despised our money-making abilities in the City which is vastly superior to theirs.

That is why you are now seeing in the press increasingly vitriolic statements from top journalists against the EU. They have been told to take their gloves off and get stuck in !

I predict you will see more and more anti-EU propaganda in the press from now on, and possibly more defections from teh Conservatives unless Cameroon soon changes tack on the EU messing with the City. If the EU stops attacking the City - then all will go quiet again.

Yes, D you are basically right but with mitigating circumstances.

Take Witney Constituency at last year's general election. David Cameron was the candidate again.

We (ukip) mounted a substantial campaign to unsettle him. We put out 180,000 pieces of

literature -newspapers and leaflets. We held meetings and we had significant numbers of poster, including six 8ft x 4ft.

But the local paper, the Witney Gazette gave Cameron (and Samantha) four page spreads for 8 weeks running. No other party got any coverage and that was after Ukip here came second in the EU elections the year before, which was never mentioned either at the time, or in the period leading up to the Gen Election.

We had all our 8ft x 4ft poster pulled down, even one which was mounted 20 ft up on scaffolding (they used a vehicle to pull it over (the marks were in the field).

The banks paid over half of the Conservative election costs and most of the media, especially the BBC gave the Conservatives huge coverage, whilst Ukip hardly got a mention beyond the compulsory election broadcasts. at the same time the opposition party (Labour) get almost demonised so as to maximise the chosen party's vote - they didn't nationally do particularly well though for all that.

A friend of mine who ran a sub post office once said to me, if there's an ad on TV promoting mars bars his sales go up fourfold - media is everything in an election campaign.

So although your complaint about the people has justification, the system is so skewed, we can hardly be surprised that they still vote for the three main parties.
