The Tokyo Electric Power Co., still coping with the aftermath of the 11 March earthquake and tsunami that damaged its six-reactor Fukushima nuclear power complex, announced that if the water injections cooling the power plant are halted again, the fuel rods could start melting within 38 hours.
If the fuel rods start melting, it could result in another massive release of radioactivity. TEPCO’s estimate said that the fuel’s temperature, which is now believed to have congealed into a solid mass at the bottom of the pressure vessels, in the absence of cooling water would rise about 50 degrees each hour until it hits its melting point of 2,200 degrees in about 38 hours, The Japan Times reported.
If the cooling procedures failed, then the crippled reactors would start emitting radioactive fallout, which could reach over 10 millisieverts, the threshold for evacuation.
An independent 14 September radiation survey found up to 307,000 becquerels of cesium per kilogram of soil near Fukushima, triple that of the benchmark above which the government requires tainted mud to be sealed by concrete. The Citizens Against Fukushima Aging Nuclear Power Plants NGO announced that the readings are comparable to the high levels in special regulated zones where evacuation was required after the April 1986 Chernobyl accident in Ukraine.

THE LIBERAL LINE: 'MODERATE' MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
MAINLY DEDICATED TO SERVING IMPOVERISHED MASSES
So-called progressives--meaning, left-wingers and liberal loons--are mobilizing to support the Muslim Brotherhood, which, with the backing of the Islamist-engaging Obama administration, is in the process of taking over Egypt following the administration-assisted ouster of the Arab country's longtime, pro-American, peace-preserving president, Hosni Mubarak.
The new "progressive" party line, emanating from the White House, is that the MB is a "moderate" Islamist, or "Islamist-leaning" movement that is primarily engaged in providing Egypt's poor with "grassroots" social services. In short, Obama and his henchpersons and advisors and their fawning media flunkies want you to believe that there is no reason to fear the clerical fascist organization that spawned Al Qaeda and Hamas and the terrorist group that assassinated Mubarak's pro-American, peace-making predecessor, Anwar Sadat.
So it goes in October 2011. Imagine how it will be in October 2013 if Obama is reelected in November 2012.
POSTSCRIPT: Nazi Germany, which inspired the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood, was also well known for its social welfare programs. The programs focused on providing employment and insuring a minimal living standard for German citizens.
The Nazis also fostered a sense of community (a sacred liberal concept), sponsored vacation trips and traveling cinemas, and created a National Labour Service and Hitler Youth Organization--with compulsory membership.
In addition to these "reforms," many massive architectural projects were undertaken. The government also funded development of the Volkswagen ("People's Car"), which was designed to be an automobile that every German citizen would be able to afford, and built the Autobahn, the first freeway system in the world.
Nazi Germany also boasted the most powerful anti-tobacco movement in the world. Anti-tobacco research received a strong backing from the government, and German scientists proved that cigarette smoke could cause cancer. The government urged German doctors to counsel patients against tobacco use.
German scientists also proved that asbestos was a health hazard. In 1943, as the first nation in the world to offer such a benefit, genocidal Germany recognized lung cancer as an asbestos-caused occupational illnesses eligible for compensation. German asbestos-cancer research was later used by American lawyers doing battle against the Johns-Manville Corporation.
As part of the general public-health campaign in Nazi Germany, water supplies were cleaned up, lead and mercury were removed from consumer products, and women were urged to undergo regular screenings for breast cancer.
Nazi Germany was proud of its compulsory health insurance program--begun by Bismarck as a tool to fight socialism. After 1933, the program was both a bastion of bureaucratic power and an instrument of mass murder (euthanasia).
KIMIST REGIME REJECTS US PRECONDITIONS
Pursuit of the stalled nuclear negotiations is a waste of time. North Korea will never abandon atomic arms, especially after the NATO intervention in Libya. Pyongyang and its partner in proliferation, Islamist Iran, are telling their friends and allies, including Syria and Venezuela, that Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi would still be in power had he not given up his weapons of mass destruction in return for Western acceptance.
North Korea is likely to soon again threaten to attack South Korea and the United States, and to take action aimed at creating a new Korean Peninsula crisis, in order to distract attention from Iran and Syria. The North and Iran operate like an exhibition wrestling tag team.
ASSAD THREATENS TO ATTACK ISRAEL
Foreign Confidential™ analysts say Iran is behind the Syrian threat to rain missiles down on Tel Aviv. The monstrous mullahocracy has made a deal with the Syrian regime: continued support in return for an ironclad promise to join Iranian proxy Hezbollah in attacking Israel if Turkey, backed by NATO, moves against Syria (under cover of another so-called Responsibility to Protect intervention).
As a guarantee of fulfillment, Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad is believed to have allowed Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps to take control of Syrian missiles and chemical warheads. The IRGC already controls Hezbollah's missiles--an arsenal capable of striking all over Israel and leveling Tel Aviv and Haifa.
Iran has repeatedly threatened to "burn Tel Aviv" and to attack Israel's nuclear reactor in the Negev if the United States attacks Iran's nuclear facilities--even if the U.S. acts alone.
Islamist Iran, which has elevated the taking of American hostages to the level of a foreign policy tool, or tactic, is now effectively threatening to take an entire U.S. ally hostage.
Iran is playing with fire--nuclear fire.
