Google censors 'Muslim Mafia' ad from WND Books

Dame Truth

I have interviewed David Gaubetz and his son on my show and their work is beyond reproach.
I would urge you to please forward this to all of your lists and if you are able, help by contributing to their defense fund.
CAIR filed suit against them for reporting and publishing their findings, the result of a long, in depth, under cover study to expose the facts about CAIR and many of the radical mosques in this country.

With thanks and in Liberty,

Google censor flags WND's
'Muslim Mafia' ad
Initially rejected as comparable to 'Nazi memorabilia,' 'KKK collectibles'

A WND Books advertisement submitted to Google for the best-seller "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America" initially was rejected by the Internet giant as inadmissible material comparable to Nazi memorabilia and Ku Klux Klan collectibles.

The ad, featuring the title "Muslim Mafia," first was rejected by Google's automated system, which flags key words. A Google representative then resubmitted the ad to the computerized system, and it was rejected again. WND's ad agent then worked with a Google ad representative to push it to a higher level where it finally was accepted by a policy team in New York City.

Google declined to comment for this article, explaining that, as a rule, it does not speak on the record about specific accounts.

A source familiar with Google's automated ad process said it's common for the system to flag an ad because of certain key words and then, upon further review of the context, approve it.

"This is how the system is supposed to work," the source said.

WND advertising representative Tim Kaelin said, however, that the ad would not have been accepted if he had not pursued the issue with a Google tech rep and an account executive who pressed for it to be read by human eyes.

Google's first response to the ad was a standard email reply to Kaelin that classified the ad as "Unacceptable Anti Content."

The message, explaining "one or more of your ads or keywords have been disapproved," said:
'Anti' and Violence: Unacceptable Anti Content: At this time, Google policy does not permit the advertisement of websites that contain content such as Nazi memorabilia or KKK collectibles. As noted in our advertising terms and conditions, we reserve the right to exercise editorial discretion when it comes to the advertising we accept on our site. Your ad has been suspended at this time.
The Google message warned that repeated "violations of our policies might result in your AdWords account getting permanently suspended."

The ad submitted by WND Books for "Muslim Mafia" consisted of an image of the book's cover and a landing page that offers a free copy of the book for a contribution to a legal defense fund. The fund is for WND's defense of the book's co-author, P. David Gaubatz, and his son, Chris Gaubatz, in a lawsuit brought against them by the primary subjects of the book, the Council on Amerian-Islamic Relations.

"Muslim Mafia" presents original material obtained in a six-month undercover operation that documents CAIR's close relationship to the international Muslim Brotherhood, the parent of major Islamic terrorist organizations such as al-Qaida and Hamas.

When the book was released in 2009, members of Congress held a news conference urging that its revelations about CAIR's influence on Capitol Hill and its threat to national security be investigated.

CAIR was named by the U.S. Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a major terrorist-financing scheme. During the trial, FBI agents presented evidence that CAIR was established as a front for Hamas.

The CAIR legal attack on WND's author is far from over. WND needs your help in supporting the defense of "Muslim Mafia" co-author P. David Gaubatz, as well as his investigator son Chris, against CAIR's lawsuit. The book's revelations have led to formal congressional demands for three different federal investigations of CAIR. In the meantime, however, someone has to defend these two courageous investigators who have, at great personal risk, revealed so much about this dangerous group. Although WND has procured the best First Amendment attorneys in the country for their defense, we can't do it without your help. Please donate to WND's Legal Defense Fund now.
