POSTED UNDER: I saw this and it brought a tear to my eye almost. My wife who spent years as a missionary kid (MK) in Papua New Guinea (PNG) was really amazed by this video and she showed it to me. The video is of tribal people in PNG reciting the Shema in Hebrew!
She also noted to me that these people don’t get dressed up like in the video unless its a very specific occasion and she wondered if what was happening was a Biblical feast day or not.
He is calling his people back. The northern kingdom is going to come home soon! HALLELUYAH!

Torah Followers in Papa New Guinea...
I figured out an answer to how this came about. As a linguist, I can
tell you that Papua, New Guinea has long been an
extremely rich field for the study of language development, especially
in the interior of the region where there is little contact with the
outside world. Natives there would have likely picked up the Shema
in Hebrew from Jewish linguists working in the area.
