Xmas Spending to Leave Irish Destitute

'A recent survey has revealed that Irish adults are expected to spend an average of 500 euros in the upcoming Christmas, Press TV reports.

According to the survey conducted by the Irish League of Credit Unions, it takes more than seven months for some people to pay off the debt accumulated in the run-up to Christmas. The survey also indicates that the spending would leave 38 percent of people in debt.'

'Turkey Will Never Team Up Against Iran'

'On Saturday, Davutoglu also said that Tehran-Ankara relations have greatly improved over the past nine years and have never been as good as they are now.

"Turkey will not be part of any foreign intervention in Iran," the Turkish foreign minister insisted.

He noted that he has met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi more than any of his other counterparts, saying they hold regular meetings to discuss issues of mutual interest and regional developments.'

World Banks Brace For Euro Collapse

'Several banks are even installing systems capable of coping with trading in old European currencies.

Meanwhile finance firms, corporations, and different governments have also turned to plans that aim at preparing them for harsh times. Regulators have asked banks in the US and UK to provide updates on readiness levels in case of a possible euro collapse.'
