The urination video is of course upsetting, but unimportant in the scheme of things. The guilty Marines should be reprimanded. But the mere thought of punishing them with jail time is disgusting. Click here for one conservative commentator's view.
American liberals were not so outraged when an American soldier was mutilated and dragged through the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia.
American liberals were not so outraged--only yesterday--when the world learned that a Somali woman was whipped in public before a cheering Muslim mob for the "crime" of converting to Christianity. The craven liberal media ignored--spiked--the story.
American liberals were no so outraged--they barely noticed--when Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah ambushed a convoy containing four American private military contractors, who were conducting delivery for food caterers. The four Americans, Scott Helvenston, Jerry Zovko, Wesley Batalona, and Michael Teague, were dragged from their cars, beaten, and set on fire. Their charred corpses were then dragged through the streets before being hung from a bridge spanning the Euphrates River.
Question: When will the United States Government stop stabbing its brave troops in the back?
The Government sends them into harm's way, handcuffs them with CNN rules of engagement, treats them like trash when they return--the lucky ones who are not killed by the same barbarians that the Government secretly supports, appeases, aims to align with, etc.
About the Taliban: they are fascist scum. Yet the U.S. is negotiating with them. Their evil ideology should be stamped out. Yet the U.S. is engaging them. When they ruled Afghanistan, they aided and harbored Al Qaeda, allowed the terrorist bastards to run their own state within a state. Yet the U.S. intends to restore the Taliban to power under cover of a phony, face-saving agreement with the notoriously corrupt and untrustworthy Afghan regime.
The Taliban … created and financed and sustained by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia … should have been annihilated … wiped off the face of the planet … by any and all means necessary … along with their AQ allies … within days of the mega-terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. That the Taliban are still around at all, no less about to retake power in the hellhole in which the slaughter of 3,000 Americans was planned and directed … that the U.S. Government and the fawning liberal media devote meaningful time to the evidence that a few Marines acted inappropriately and unprofessionally with respect to a few dead Taliban … is scandalous.
